I ordered a mobile tire installation on my car on 9/26/2023. The technician arrived and said there was an issue with the truck and we would have to reschedule and they would refund me the installation fee. I called back the local dispatch center that initially helped me 2 weeks later and they now have no technicians serving my area and all the Goodyear locations are "full". No refund still. They promised they would push it to upper management to get taken care of. One week later no response, no refund. I called the customer ********************** line from the website. She said they claim to still have no trucks or technicians and will work on the refund. It's now been 4 weeks and the tires have been sitting in my garage. No refund still at this time. I haven't been able to use my car for 4 weeks. At this point I not only want the refund for the service they never did but compensation for the inconvenience this has caused me in my daily life.

On 10/26/2023 I called the consumer at 2:45pm and left a voicemail message.  A Mobile Installation Supervisor called the consumer and left a voicemail message to re-schedule the tire installation.  I called this morning at 9:30am and left a 2nd voicemail message.  I would like to reimburse the $119.80 installation fee.  Please call and confirm the current mailing address and we will process a check.  We do not have a policy that will allow us to reimburse for lost time or inconvenience.

      Customer Answer

The business attempted to reach out to me with at least 4-5 different people leaving me multiple voicemails every day. I attempted to contact back and documented these communications, and no one answered. I was promised multiple times I would be getting a refund. I never received a refund. This complaint was not resolved and I was essentially robbed the money spent on the installation fees, and disposal of tires. I decided this is the last time I'm doing anything on this case. I have worked on it for over a month with no resolution. I will never recommend Good Year to anyone ever and will actively avoid them. This entire situation has been completely ridiculous and I'm very unhappy that I was promised a refund so many times - and documented the promise every time. Only for it to never happen.

      HI.

I first called Goodyear Auto Service Center in ******* **.
I ASKED The person that answered the
phone is they do a basic Oil service
which is called $21,99. which is Advertised.
I was told that they do the "GOOD"
      oil service.

When I got there, a long distance
from my home, the same person
      who answered the phone
it would cost $60.00 and don't have regular oil, ony synthetic.
There is a big difference between
      $21.99 and $60.00
I have been told that this is a bait and switch situation, it's considered Fraudulent.

I went to the Goodyear location on ******** **** in ************, ******** on August 2, 2023 to get a full set of tires put on the car including balancing and alignment. Immediately upon driving off I noticed vibrations at higher speeds. One week later, I took the car back to the shop and told them about the issue. A couple hours later they called me and said they looked at it and claimed that there was no vibration. So I continued to drive for 4000 miles, two months on unbalanced tires. On October 4, 2023 I went to the Goodyear shop on ********** ****** in ************ ******** and told them the issue I was experiencing. When I came to pick up the vehicle, they explained to me that the tires were indeed not balanced properly. So the ********** ***., Avenue location balanced the tires thus getting rid of the vibration issue. I then proceeded to call the Goodyear shop on ******** **** and explained to them that they sent me off with unbalanced tires, and Wally was very apologetic and admitted that they did not balance the tires properly.

But now when I’m driving, I notice a steady thumping in the tires which suggests to me that an elevated amount of tread has been worn from one or more the tires while they were unbalanced. My concern there is that I will not be getting my moneys worth for these tires due to uneven treadwear. Because of the ******** ** Goodyear’s incompetency and the stress I’ve gone through, I think it’s fair for Goodyear to give me a new set of tires.

Car overheating-took into Goodyear following day (sept 2). Was told leak in the housing and upper radiator house. Work completed and was told car was fixed. On sept. 23 while driving in Lagrange, GA, same overheating issue arose. Pulled over, could not get hold of goodyear for tow. Left car at local shop-was told the hose was out on incorrectly which caused more overheating and other damage. Spoke wtih thibodaux goodyear who said to tow to Goodyear (newnan ga). Goodyear accepted tow and is now saying transmission and head gasket were damaged before original Sept 2 visit. However, this was never disclosed as any issue. Car is now stuck in Georgia (almost 600 miles from home). No one is repairing or even giving update on what is being done with car. I am home without vehicle or resolution, and no communication. Both faciliites are now saying there was a problem sept 2 which was not addressed by goodyear. All these issues caused by Goodyear have now left vehicle stranded. I also had to be driven 500+ miles back home by relative.

Good afternoon  just wanted to advised your office we did reach out to this customer and also did investigation on the customer claim that our Goodyear Auto Service Center I spoke with both locations about this customer claim.  The work that was done initially is not the cause of the customer head gasket to blow out.  The customer did disagreed with our out come on this matter. I advised the this case is now closed and if she want to submit a claim with our property damaged claim department I gave her all of the info to put in the claim with that department.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 10/04/2023

I am rejecting this response because:
After being transferred to and from multiple departments and physical stores, Goodyear has changed their minds on what is wrong with my car. After initially telling me that the only thing wrong with my vehicle was a blown head gasket, they then confirmed that the initial problem that I paid to get fixed was still occurring (leaking coolant). The next time I spoke with someone, they did not mention the coolant leak and claimed that my transmission was broken. The next time I spoke with someone they stated that the only problem was a blown head gasket with no mention of the coolant leak or transmission. They repeatedly stated that they were not looking at the car or touching it and would then advise me to speak with a different department. After speaking with the Thibodaux, Louisiana location, they claimed that they did not touch my thermostat while performing the initial work. After receiving a copy of my itemized receipt, it clearly showed that they had in fact done work on my thermostat. They then questioned my as to how long I drove my car while it was running hot because my transmission was the root cause of the initial problem, and they knew that that was the problem when I first brought the car in. I replied that I brought the car in the next day. When I asked how they could tell me my car was fixed and safe to drive, they stated that they do not check for transmission problems because it is an internal part of the car. However, this contradicts their statement that my transmission was the initial problem and the reason that my car is now messed up again. They also refused address this claim and simply stated that the case was closed, and they would no longer be investigating. To sum this up, Goodyear says that they knew my transmission was broken on September 2nd and had me drive off knowing that it was not safe to drive, causing further damage. I have had to pay for the initial fix that was not done properly ($436), a mechanic to look at it because Goodyear in Newnan said they do not tow ($265), and a tow from the Newnan Goodyear to another mechanic since Goodyear stated that they would not inspect, touch, or fix my car ($225). I am still without a working vehicle and no ownership for the incorrect work done at the Goodyear in Louisiana.

We already advised the customer that her claim that we damaged her vehicle. The work that was done on the customer vehicle had noting to do with what she paid for on the invoice. We did tell the customer she can put in a claim with our damage claim department that would be the next option to move forward

      Customer Answer

After having two different mechanic shops look at my car, they both stated that the work that Goodyear initially performed on my car was the cause of the current problems. The cost of repairs for my car is now $10,000+.

On May 2, 2023 we took our 2016 Subaru Forester to the Goodyear service center at 2007 Broadway in Denver and had transmission and differential fluids service performed. We paid $597.44 for this service.

On August 1, 2023, the Forester broke down on I-70 as we were driving from Grand Junction, CO to Moab, UT on vacation. The front differential on the vehicle had locked up, breaking one axle, bending the other, and damaging the transmission.

The Subaru dealership in Grand Junction ran diagnostic testing on the Forester on August 3 and the technician discovered that there was no differential fluid in the vehicle. They called us and asked if we had the fluids serviced recently. We told them we had in early May. They told us they believed that the front differential fluid was not replaced when the vehicle was serviced.

We immediately called the Goodyear location where the differential and transmission fluids were replaced. We explained the situation and emailed the diagnostic video to them from the Subaru dealership.

We called the Goodyear service center again on August 4 and were told that the matter had been given to the claims department and it would take 4 to 6 weeks for a determination to be made.

This left us facing an ~$10,000 repair bill with a vehicle stranded 193 miles from Denver. We had towing and rental car expenses in addition to the repairs.

As of September 22, 7.5 weeks after the breakdown, we still have not received any communication from the Goodyear claims department. On September 12, the Goodyear district manager called and gave us an incident number (**********). We asked if there was a phone number or email address we could have to contact the claims team directly and were told no. So, we emailed the Goodyear district manager an itemized list of the expenses we had incurred as a result of this breakdown.

We have not received any communication from Goodyear, the district manager, or the local service center since sending that email.

      Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: the statements provided are in direct contradiction to statements made by Goodyear employees. On Friday August 4th Dan at the Goodyear location that serviced the vehicle stated that the claim had been opened and was with the claims department, and that I would hear from either his manager or the claims department. He stated this could take 4 - 6 weeks. When I had not heard anything from Goodyear in 5 weeks I submitted an inquiry on the main website. On September 11th I spoke with Goodyear District Manager **** ******, who reached out only after I had submitted the additional inquiry on the website. **** said this claim was being investigated and that I would hear from his claims department. He gave me claim number ********** as the reference number for this claim. I forwarded him information about this claim on September 13th. This complaint through the BBB was then initiated when we continued to get no response from Goodyear. I am attaching the list of expenses for which we are seeking reimbursement and documentation from the dealer who repaired the vehicle which states Goodyear's liability for the damage based on the inactions of staff to replace the front differential fluid after draining it.

I had the four tires of my car replaced by Just Tires on 8/9/2022. They dented my driver's side door with their Jack to lift the car. My car insurance paid for the damage of $5,402.00 except for the deductible of $500 which I paid. Based on the pre and post-photographs and the appearance of the Dent compatible with the shape of the Jack my insurance company determined that Just Tires caused the damage. They agreed to go after the Just Tires. After an exhaustive attempt to recover the money, I was just notified by the Insurance Company that Just Tires is not cooperating and that they were unable to recover the amount. My Insurance company let them get away with it because it will cost them a lot more to go after them through litigation. They also sold me one bad tire with a defect which I had to replace. I would like to let other people know of their practices so that they stay away from this crooked company called Just Tire.
Thank You for your help and consideration

We made contact with our damage claims department, and they have no knowledge of the damage to the vehicle. The location in question was contacted and they were never made aware of any damage at the time of service. They advised; the customer did not reach back out to them until months later. The complaint noted the location used a jack to lift the vehicle and we use lifts. At this time, we will not offer refund for deductible as we do not feel at fault. If the vehicle had damage to the door on the day of service, the store would have seen it and noted their findings and handled accordingly.

The customer also noted in the complaint he was sold a faulty tire and had to replace it. He would need to reach out to Continental as it was their product. The location was also not made aware of any tire issues. This was over a year ago.

We received the vehicle condition report from the location, and they noted pre-existing damage to driver's door upon arrival.

I am rejecting this response because:
They are outright lying. I showed the damage to the manager and the secretary of Just Tires when I picked the car up from them and the day the work was finished. According to my Insurance company and the towing company, the damage was caused by Just Tires and was consistent with the Jack they used to replaced the tires. Towing company have the pictures of the car before and after the car was dropped to them. I am attaching the documents to support it.

Please do not let them get away with it.

I submitted a rebate form back in March 2023 to Goodyear ************** for spending $908.00 on four tires. The rebate was for $225.00 if I were to put in on a Goodyear credit card. I did that and received a notice on April 3rd stating there had received my rebate form and it would take 4-6 weeks to process. I looked on the site at the end of June and noticed it had been declined. Upon calling, they told me I had submitted the wrong form. I told them I submitted the form the Goodyear store employee handed me to fill out and mail in. They said it was wrong and unfortunately that promotion has expired. I said I had no way of knowing about it or I would have corrected it. They tried to help me by submitting another claim but that too was declined. Customer ********************** said all I can do is ask for an exception which has not worked out. I would like for them to honor the $225.00 rebate as I believe this was misleading. I purchased tires from BurtBrothers and applied for the Goodyear Rebate - I filled out the paper work through the Goodyear webportal. Goodyear indicates that my address doesn't match up. I have responded to their emails 15 or more times with my old address and my new address. Goodyear keeps responding that my address doesnt match up. They refuse to tell me what I need. I submit the documentation over and over again but they won't tell me what's is needed. They are refusing to help.

We took our van to Goodyear to have tires rotated and to get the tire light off. Goodyear advised we had two tire sensors that needed replaced. After completing our payment transaction we were told the tire light was still on but to drive it and it would go off. We drove it for a few days , took it back, everything checked out so they told us to drive it some more. Took it back because light didnt go out and they said to take it to the dealer. We have had sensors replaced at Goodyear before and the light usually goes out so Im not sure why its still on. I would have preferred to just keep the old sensors if they cant get the light out because we have no way of knowing if a sensor is bad and we have paid $181.26 for nothing. Not sure if they used sensors not compatible with our van.

******************* from Goodyear called yesterday and asked me to send a copy of my invoice. I sent that copy and have tried to reach out to see if it was received and have not got an answer back. She had stated that a refund would be sent once they got that copy of the invoice so I dont know what the status is at this point.
