      I purchased a set of 4 Goodyear Comfort Drive tires on the Goodyear website, and was promised a $125 instant discount, an additional $100 rebate on the purchase of 4 tires, and an additional $100 rebate if paid via the Goodyear Credit Card. Additionally, a $25 rebate on a purchase of $250+ on new Goodyear credit cards, which I qualified for, as well as a $50 rebate on any services such as installation or alignment etc.

      I purchased an alignment which would qualify for the service rebate, as well as opened a new Goodyear credit card and used it to pay the final bill received. The shop honored the $125 off 4 tires at the time of billing, as well as provided a separate $30 discount on the alignment services.

      I submitted my rebate request for the $200 rebate for the tires and the $25 for the new card and $25 from the service, which I was originally promised $50, but was unavailable on the rebate website.

      My claim was denied as it "didn't meet promotional requirements". I feel cheated by Goodyear as this is false advertising and business practices. I chose to go with Goodyear instead of ********* because of the promotional offer, but now it makes zero difference as Goodyear has refused to honor their rebate promises. Additionally I now have a useless Goodyear credit card on my credit report that didn't even offer me the additional $100 rebate I was entitled.

      I'm very unhappy with their services and deceptive business practices.

      Update as of September 18, 2023.

      I was able to speak with a representative at Goodyear regarding the issue, and they have resubmitted the rebate claim for the correct amount of $275. I'm still waiting to receive confirmation of it's approval, so the issue is not yet resolved, but I'm happy with the company's response as of yet.

      We have verified with our rebate department that the amount for the $275.00 has been approved and the payment will process in the next 10 business days. 
      The customer originally submitted a rebate that
      was declined because the rebate submitted by the customer stated that the tires were purchased online
      when the invoice provided shows the tires were purchased In Store.  The
      rebate was declined as the dealer did not match the info customer provided. 
      A new rebate was submitted on
      9/16/2023 with the correct purchase location entered (Claim ID **********.)
       This rebate is in final approval and should process for payment within

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      However, I would like to point out, that the online purchase system at Goodyear is misleading. I intended to purchase and pay for the tires on Goodyear's website, but it automatically routes you to select a local installer to receive installation for the tires. You aren't allowed to pay online and only receive a quote as it states that the online price is just a quote and additional shop charges may apply at installation. Due to that there is no way for me to be able to "purchase and pay for" the tires online, as if always sends me to a local installer to schedule installation. Therefore the invoice shows the local installation location details rather than ************.

      I am satisfied that the new claim was processed quickly and efficiently, however am disappointed in the deceptive business practices.

      9/1/2023 Amount paid: $70
      Went in for a simple service (oil change and tire rotation) 9/8/2023 I noticed a disturbing noise coming from either the engine or wheels. At around 9pm i felt unsafe driving home, I decided to call a tow truck through my insurance. I did not want to cause any damage to my vehicle by driving on it. 9/9/2023 My vehicle arrived at Firestone in Highlands Ranch. After accessing the damages the total was roughly $821 (excluding the tow truck). The studs and ball bearings had been damaged due to the stripped studs. Additionally the hub assembly had been damaged and needed replacing. I am seeking that the cost of repairs is reimbursed to me from Goodyear. Had the studs not been stripped due to their work on my vehicle these repairs would have not been necessary. 9/13/2023 I went to the same Goodyear that worked on my vehicle seeking that the cost for damages was reimbursed. They denied responsibility and said that someone could have tampered with my vehicle. I asked what should I do if thats the case and the store manager’s (******* **********) response was “maybe you should move to a better neighborhood”. As a new Colorado resident this was alarming to hear and very unprofessional. I am looking for a way to resolve this issue and I’m unsure if a police report would be the best way to go about it. Please give me direction towards resolution.

      I was having issues trying to add road hazard/extended warranty in the Goodyear website. I ended having to call Goodyear sales on Sept 12, 2023 and spoke to the sales department. I was told to try Just Tires and to go in person to the one in Hollywood at *************** I went there to get tires. We agreed on a set price out the door. Eventually I was told that I will not be getting charge for the oil change since they could not loosen/change the filter. I also was told I needed some things done and I agreed for 500 verbally. In addition, I was told that I needed clean new filters. I agreed verbally. The guy that originally helped left without even talking to me. In ********** verbal agreements do not hold in a court of law for obvious reasons. At the end the verbal agreement was not being honored. It is also rude for the person that original helped me to leave without saying anything to me. It is why now it has become a disaster.At the end the assistant manager ******************************* helped me, but numbers with discounts were not adding up. New charges or higher prices were being quoted. We reached an impasse and I was told that I had to leave my car and that they could take out what they did to bring my car back to the way I had taken to Just Tires. I was told that someone would be bringing me home. Then I was told that because they threw/puncture my tires that I was stock with the tires, but the other issues would be brought back to the state I brought my car in. I told them that it was still not closing time and that I wanted my old tires put back. I lost trust at the horrible shameful, pathetic and appalling way I was treated. I am a disable veteran who lives on medication to survive and do not need aggravation/rudeness.At the end numbers promised with discounts were not adding up. I then was told that i had to make my own arrangements to come home. I asked for something in writing since they told me they would pay for my Uber/Lyft.

      Hey . Well it's started in July of 22 my kids had a baseball tournament out there.My truck ended up giving a trouble of on the highway tow it to Good Year. On July 24 they contacted me with a estimate on how much will it cost me so he agreed that he'll start work on it the first week of August and the price for everything will be 1381 with 22 cents . He contacted me and said the vehicle is ready I told him he had to give me about a week to get situated to flight out there with my family so I picked up the truck on Thursday August 24th I told him I was on my way I ended up getting the keys from him I signed up made the payment and when I'm on my way on August 26th we ended up getting on the road or destination was of course ******* which the man already knew in about 2 hours on the road the terrible off you guys are a tire shop why not important me say hey the tire is kind of messed up you would you like to replace it I would have said yes of course so I ended up getting a tow truck towed it to a tire shop they fixed it about another our on the road the truck starts doing the same thing and then when I first drop that off at the shop in Goodyear in ************ so I ended up getting a towed again to good year in Ohio that's where I got stranded call them the next day on Saturday of August 26th I believe and that Goodyear in Ohio didn't want to deal with it they said that they couldn't do nothing with it so then I ended up getting help getting a trailer to load up the truck and drive with my family back to ******* I ended up spending money at hotel and traumatizing my children to this chaotic road trip on my way back to ******* I ended up calling the Good year in ******* see if they wanted to take a look at it they said no that I was going to have to pay another diagnosis test and I like how if I paid one already he said well we got to get paid too so the car is still sitting in my driveway I still have no car to this day and nobody is giving me an answer I just would like my money back and at least to pay for my expensive that day but when my money I would just be okay but this needs to be corrected I got also paperwork over the confirmation of the hotel I stood but at least to give me my money back because this is so dumb for me to not still have a car to this day

       I am rejecting this response because: It's been over 2 months!!!!! I need my money back I offered to return the part back to them. I just want my $1381.00 back ... To settle this I am willing to ship back the part. I don't have any money to pay for tow truck or to deal with Good  Year. All I am asking is for a refund that's it that's all or come pick up the truck.. and see that is your neglect in Good year !!!       Hello I ended up getting the diagnosis test from their Goodyear here Ash in the ******* area so they ended up saying they didn't plug them a fuse correctly the wire that lets us know how much gas the truck has due to the negligence of them not plugging in that wire when they open up the whole thing replacing the fuel pump they never put the wire properly and it was not alerting correctly how much gas was in it also if I need reimbursement for hotel and towing fees towing from Ohio from the first time I got it stopped I need reimbursement for this toy night ended up taking it with my own money I have paperwork stating of due to their negligence all this chaotic nightmare I have with Goodyear I wanted to end so I would like reimbursement for all the money I spend due to their negligence I have the paperwork from The Good Year here in ******* they're going to provide me so I will send it with pictures so you guys can look at it thank you so much for your help have a good. I believe Goodyear is responsible for not properly installing a wire that I pay for service because I obviously I don't know nothing about cars that's why I took it to a good year shop so I believe I should get at least remember half of the cost oh what you guys charged me because that's how much money I end up spending a U-Haul I ended up spending on a U-Haul too I forgot about that running a truck to get back home and hotel and the towing I have paperwork of all that have pictures of all that have the new diagnosis  that was taken here in *******

       I am rejecting this response because I'm reading the comments and the description they did at the Goodyear here in ******* apparently it's stating that the fuel pump was never report it was was never replaced and they looked like it was filthy as it states in this paperwork that that I email you a copy of what it says so in that case you guys they never replace a fuel pump your own people in ******* are saying that you guys never replaced it so I really need my $1,*** back because this is ridiculous how in the world is your own Goodyear here in ******* is saying that you never replace this fuel pump so you guys basically just said you didn't when they're telling me they didn't that you guys didn't this is really messed up.

      Yes they attempt to pay me the two tow fees of $356? I believe a r ridiculous amount they try to offer me I refuse the offer because I am also putting a complaint with the state's attorney general of Pittsburgh regarding that good year auto shop. I need proof that gas pump is new because you charged me $900 for a new gas pump that stated in the receipt so I already I'm already filing the complaint with the state general attorney office.

      The steel belts separated on three of our Cooper tires while we were on vacation. Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring 225/60R18. We had to put 4 new tires on our vehicle. After we returned home we reported this to Cooper and they will not help reimburse us for the cost but gave us a rebate for future tires. We would much rather have the money to help pay for this expense we were not prepared for.

      I purchased a brand new 2021 ***** Silverado Highcountry Equipped with Goodyear Wrangler TrailRunner At tires. My truck now has ****** miles and my tires are detoriating well last normal wear and tear for this mileage. There is dry rot and cracking chunks of rubber missing from tread and an extraordinarily amount of wear and tear on tires. According to your manufacturer warranty these tires have a ****** mile warranty. I have rotated and balanced my tires approximately and maintained proper inflation. At less than ****** miles these tires are failing and already need to be replaced as they are a hazard to my safety and failing to meet the standards of the consumer warranty or your company. Id like to have my tires replaced under warranty. As the do not meet your warranty standards and are a safety hazard.

      Goodyear charged me $24.14 more than expected for an oil change, using a bait & switch scheme.

      On 6 Aug 2023, I scheduled and received an oil change at Goodyear. The appointment's confirmation number is **********. The Goodyear website allows users to enter their vehicle information and select a service for that vehicle. The website then provides an estimated total; the estimated total was $58.49 for a synthetic blend oil change for my 2007 Lexus ES-350.

      The disclaimer reads, “The Estimated Total does not include the cost of any services that require store inspection or any required in-store shop supply fees. Additional services may be recommended at the time of your appointment, which are not included in this total. Local taxes and disposal fees may apply (Goodyear Auto Service does not set tax charges).”

      At checkout, I received a bill for $82.63 (invoice **********).

      Had I known that the actual total would have been $82.63 and not $58.49, I would have procured an oil change elsewhere.

      When I contested the price at the service center, the associate explained that the increase was the result of my car requiring more than 5 quarts of oil. However, this is not an acceptable justification for the $24.14 increase as my car information was entered into the Goodyear website to ensure that the estimate received was tailored to my specific vehicle.

      Even if one was to exchange the $2.50 in estimated taxes and fees for the $4.80 shop supplies and $6.75 tax shown on the receipt, the total would only be $67.54 and not $82.63. Moreover, I did not opt for any additional services “recommended at the time of [my] appointment.” Therefore, justification of the additional cost under the premise of the estimated total disclaimer is also invalid.

      Goodyear created a bait and switch scenario in which I obtained a service with the understanding that I would receive a bill for $58.49. However, Goodyear charged me $82.63, which is $24.14 more than expected.

      Bought 2 tires, assurance maxlife tires in January of this year from Goodyear.com. Yesterday 1 tire blew out at the side wall turning onto my street luckily. Upon examining the other tires the 2nd tire I purchased has the same crack/split in the tire as the 1st tire. Currently holding air, but not safe to drive I’m sure. Brought it to the Goodyear dealer and they right away said I don’t have road hazard. I must of hit a curb to blow out one tire and a pot hole to damage the other. The tire still holding air you can tell wasn’t hit or damage. This appears to be a defect of sorts. They said I used 8% of the 85,000 mile rated tire and it’s been 7 months. I was offered 40off each tire and free install. This seems unacceptable. I was also told the tire still holding air should be fine to drive with a split/crack in the sidewall. I included a picture, would you drive that with your family? My wife is worried for the families safety. Throughout the convo they just kept saying about road hazard that I should have bought. Feel like they we’re upset they didn’t up sell. This is clearly a defect and luckily I was not on the Highway when the tire blew out. Order number **********

      I bought Good Year tires during a rebate promotion and mailed the forms and receipt in. I did buy the tires at the very end of this promotion. After paying on the tires I realized that I didn’t get the rebate back. I tried tracking the rebate and couldn’t find anything. I called and they said they never received the rebate form or the receipt. I was told to resubmit it online which I did. Then I waited and eventually emailed them back because I still didn’t receive the rebate. Then they wanted the first 4 and last 4 digits of my card. When I spoke with the rep he said that a lot of people who mailed their rebates in complained that apparently never got their rebates. So there must be some problem with the mail. So if they know there’s a problem with the mail service and people can show they purchased the tires during the rebate deal, GoodYear tires should honor their rebate. The rebate is for $100. I purchased the tires in the rebate time frame and I just want my $100 rebate.

      Problem:
      On August 4th I had my tires rotated. They managed to cause $4,727 of damage to my vehicle in the process by damaging the wheels with their equipment. After submitting a complaint the manager refused to fix the damage and replace the wheels (which he said he could do if he accepted responsibility) and said he would file a claim with the Property Damage Claims department instead. After two and a half months of waiting, calling, submitting documents, and more waiting they are denying responsibility and not paying for the damages based on their "internal investigation". This is complete nonsense and needs to be rectified immediately.

      Cover the cost of the damage and wasting my time

      Hello,

      On 8/4/2023 Mr.
      ******** came to the Goodyear location and had 4 tires mounted to his 2018
      Chevrolet Silverado with 42,291 miles on it. The truck had wheels that are
      front that was specific for the rear of the vehicle, but he had the front rims on the rear outside duals. The Goodyear location mounted the tires on the truck according to the customers instructions with the
      outside rear wheels going on the front.

      Mr. ******** contacted Goodyear on or around 8/23/2023 stating that we damaged his wheels.

      The store manager inspected the wheels on 8/30/2023 and did find damages to the two wheels, but tire machine could not have caused
      this kind of damage to the wheels.

      The tire machine has a plastic
      tire mounting adaptor and would not have caused this type of damage to either
      wheel.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      This is a ridiculous response and a very poor attempt to absolve themselves of responsibility. Obviously the damage was caused by the folks at Goodyear since the wheels came in without any damage. The arm they are showing is the part where the tire bead meets the wheel. The damage was on the face of the wheel where they clearly damaged it from mounting it to the machine incorrectly as well as somehow scraping/marring the wheel face through using the machine and mishandling the wheel. The only way that kind of damage could be caused is by their labor and equipment, end of story (the pictures I submitted make it very clear the damage is on the face of the rim, not the lip where the arm they show slips the tire bead on the rim). The fact they are not even engaging in this process in good faith is very telling as to the character of Goodyear and the people that work there. The lack of professionalism and knowledge on the part of Goodyear and it's people is truly alarming.
