On 3/29/23, I purchased a set of 4 new tires and applied for and was approved for a new Goodyear Credit Account. I filled out the rebate forms and submitted them online. I was notified that my rebate was declined because the "Dealer does not match". I did not know I had to select online - I thought I was supposed to list where I had them installed, as I thought the purchase was from there.
I feel like Goodyear lures you with tempting rebates and then declines them over a technicality so they don't have to pay them. They owe me a $275 rebate and will not process it.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: This rebate absolutely has NOT received approval. See screenshot with date and timestamp as proof. This is another attempt by Goodyear to delay and say things that isn't true. It CLEARLY does not say approved. I do not accept this "resolution" (and will not) until it's actually approved.Business Response

I wish to formally file a service complaint against the Goodyear Service Center in ******, ****** *****, *************. In November of 2022, the ****** store location replaced the battery in my 2012 ****** Pathfinder. In doing so, they somehow fried my A/C blower control. My A/C worked perfectly before they replaced my battery, and after I picked up my vehicle, the blower remained on full blast with all a/c and temperature controls unresponsive. The store staff tried to troubleshoot the a/c system that entire weekend, to no avail. I was told by the store manager ***** that I could pick up my car and wait 2 months for a part to come in from ******, at which time they would correct the issue. The staff disconnected the a/c relays so it would not be such a nuisance, although this meant I'd be driving around in ****** for months with no a/c. This also meant the defoggers would not work, which created a visibility safety issue when it was raining and I had to have the windows up.I was told 2 months. I drove around like this for 5 months while Goodyear awaited backordered parts and I had to contact ***** a half-dozen times for updates. The store manager accepted responsibility and communicated that they would fix the problem they had created.April 22nd 2023, the part for my a/c finally arrived from ****** and the store attempted to fix my a/c. The part they had ordered after troubleshooting was an IPDM Controller. The store technicians were unable to fix my a/c and told me to come get my car, and that the manager would contact me to let me know whats next. After all my patience and effort in trying to get updates and be understanding with the Goodyear staff, this news left me very disheartened and beyond frustrated. It is now Tuesday evening and no one from Goodyear ****** has tried to contact me to let me know how this will be fixed. This greatly reduces the resale value of my car. No one wants to buy a vehicle in ****** that has no working a/c.Business Response

Hi *******, for ***************************** #****** we took his Pathfinder to the ****** dealer on friday 4/28 , where they diagnosed a bad variable blower controller, we had them replace it and they retested the system after, all was working after that. we picked it up on saturday 4/29 and called ******************** to let him know it was fixed and ready to pick up. He ended up picking it up the next day. I called him on monday 5/1 to see if he was satisfied but no answer so I left him a messege, so far no response.

Today 4/24/23 I bought 4 new tires with the warranty total cost was $837.89. In the process of changing the tires they damaged a rim. This is for a car that is in a car club and only has 35,000 miles on it. Initially the service manager Ginger advised me they were having some sort of problems with the special rims and needed to take the wheels to a “special machine” and that’s why mechanics left the area and I couldn’t see them. When I walked out to my car and inspected the sides and wheels, it was very obvious one of the rims had damage along the most distal part of the rim. (Like where they would pop a tire of a rim.) I showed Ricardo and he said they would take care of it as they have shops they work with on this sort of thing. Then when we went back inside he changed his mind and said I had to wait for his manager. He then added the mechanic had marked damage to that rim before. WHAT?! I told him, “No, that rim was not damaged and it’s clearly new and fresh damage. It’s fresh and there’s no road grime or anything on it.” When Ginger arrived we went to look at it and she stated it was there before. I told her that was a lie. She said they marked it on the form. I told her if that were true, then they should have shown it to me and most places, such as renting a car, or etc will take you out there to draw attention toe existing damage and then have you initial it. She told me this was ridiculous and what are they supposed to do have ever customer initial damage on every part of the car and I told her yes if that’s the specific part you’re working on then yes you need to show customers damaged rims before. Especially custom rims. I told her I would take them to court. She laughed at me stating, “Oh you’re going to take Goodyear to court?” I replied, “Yes, if that’s what you’re going to make me do.” The estimated cost of repair is $150. This is chump change especially since tire prices are always negotiated and bargained. Invoice number **********Business Response

On 5/8/23 I received a call from the store manager at Goodyear, *** ******* who requested I come in and bring him a copy of the receipt. On the same day, 5/8/23 I took a copy of the repair receipt in and Mr. ******* credited my account for the $156.00.Thank you for assisting in resolution of this matter. On March 21st I had an appointment at 1 pm to get service done on my truck. I was told it would take a couple hours. I dropped my truck off at 12, I returned at 3:45 to see how much longer since ot was in for at least **** hours. I was told they hadn't touched it yet and it probably wouldn't be done until the following day. This was unacceptable. I made an appointment for a reason, I can see a little behind schedule but not a day. Had I been told it was going to take 2 days I could have made work arrangements for the next day but I was expecting to have my vehicle, I HAD to get to work. I am very disgusted with the service and had to take my vehicle elsewhere. I sent an email requesting my diagnostic fee be return since they neglected to do the job and I had to take it elsewhere. I have now paid 2 fees to have it diagnosed. They also lied and said they checked the compession on the motor,it was obvious that was never done because the plugs were so corroded they were not removed in order to perform that testBusiness Response

I bought Assurance tires from Goodyear, mostly because I had a flat on 25Mar23 and Goodyear was the closest tire retailer. They said the tire could not be repaired. I knew my OEM **** ********** A41 tires were at the end of their life anyway, so I bought what the assistant manager suggested. Anyway, these ride terribly and my MPG went from (high 50s to mid 60s for original **** tires) to 48 with these Goodyear Assurance tires!
I called again on 6Apr23 and was told to bring the car in to recheck the balance, but that made nothing better. Totally unacceptable and I cannot keep these tires! On 10Apr23 I called the Goodyear place, on ****** ****, where I got them. I was told the district manager would give me a call that day. Nobody from Goodyear called.
I have contacted Goodyear on 10Apr23 and 13Apr23 via their webform contact page but have yet to receive any acknowledgement of receipt for either submission.
I want my money back, and Goodyear can have the tires. In addition to the bad gas mileage, there is a vibration on the car that was not present before the installation of Goodyear tires. If this causes damage to my car, there will be a lawsuit.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory as a first step toward resolving the tire problem following the installation of Goodyear tires. I would like the Dunlop Enesave p195 65r15, which is listed as one of the three OEM tires suited for my 2020 Prius LE. I called the local store to set this. I spoke to ********. He said the tires could be ordered and had an ETA of 28 or 29Apr23. He also told me that *******, the store manager would call me first thing this morning to discuss it further. I have not received a phone call yet. I request that *** of Goodyear call him, since approval to proceed would come from her.Initial Complaint

On 9/2/2022 My husband ****** **** and I purchased 4-tires from GoodYear located in ********* ** and we were told there would be a $250.00 rebate. On 11/22/22 the documents were uploaded to GoodYear for processing. After a month or so, I contacted GoodYear and was told they had not received our invoice, only the first page. I resubmitted the receipt and followed up again early this week since we had not received the rebate. After countless emails and phone calls, GoodYear is claiming they never received my documents and the rebate has expired! ****** followed protocol and yet GoodYear continues to deny our claim. To make matters worse, the $50.00 rebate is from a credit card which was approved by GoodYear but somehow they have no record of our receipts. My consumer rights have been violated and I demand a rebate on this offer. Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.Business Response

The Tire Rebate Form consist of (3) rebates totaling $225.00. The first rebate is $150.00 for ******** ******** Tires. The 2nd rebate is for installation of the tires totaling, $50.00 and the 3rd rebate is $25.00 for "New Goodyear Credit Card Users Only" Again, Good Year continues to violate their own policy/rebates which is insulting to us as customers. Good Year already confirmed they received the Tire Redemption Form therefore I don't understand why they're lowballing their customers for the correct rebate amount.Business Response

Goodyear was one of two tire companies that I investigated for new tires. The Goodyear website offered a $200 cash back for purchase of four tires ($100 doubled with use of card). The card was reportedly available to use immediately. This was an offer too good to ignore, so I signed up for the credit card. Although Goodyear gave me the card number immediately, they did not offer an expiration date or *** code. I was unable to use it to purchase Goodyear tires at BJs box store as it did not have the expiration or ***. I called in 3/28/23 and was assured that I could use it at BJs if I purchased the four Goodyear tires. They instructed me to go to the BJs store and that they could call in for card verification. I drove the half hour to the store, only to be told that they were unable to use the card and that I needed to order online.I tried online ordering but could not without the *** and expiration. I called again and was given a temporary code and expiration date without success. The 29th, I was given different codes and again was told it would work. It did not and I was told to wait for the card itself and to try again at that time.. The card came yesterday and it still does not work.I called in again today, 4/11/23 and was told that the card only works at dedicated Goodyear stores or two gas stations.False promises. Repeated inaccurate assistance. Unnecessary road trip to store at their direction. Repeated and frustrating phone calls to try to make things work.Business Response

Date this happened: March 15, 2023 at 8am and they kept our vehicle until the next day. So my husband and I decided to go through a goodyear which was quoted to us in the open bay app. This goodyear shop was absolutely horrendous and They have the most unprofessional customer service I have ever experienced. We were quoted $299 through the open bay app and the shop decided to charge us $540! That is over two hundred dollars more than what we were quoted and I want my money back! I even called the shop before we got there to make sure that the price was right and that we were quoted the correct price. They said everything looked good and that they had the parts ready for us. However when we got to the shop they didn't even have the parts yet. So we had to miss work yesterday and this morning because they didn't even have the parts ready for us. Horrible customer service! Also, they should honor the price that they told us over the phone as well. We confirmed the price with them not just over the phone, but also with the front desk when we got there. This is absolutely ridiculous! We are so upset that we had to pay $240 more than what we were quoted. Needless to say we will never be using this shop again. We are both lyft drivers and we just are trying to save a little bit of money since we have to get maintenance done on our vehicles very often. Just wanted to tell you that it was the worst experience we've ever had with any mechanic. The shop wouldn't even let us have our vehicle back until we paid them the full amount due. Very very shady company! And I cannot Believe how wrongly we were quoted. I will attach a picture of what we were originally quoted with goodyear. NOW our car shakes when we try to brake because they didn't replace the rotors, saying that our rotors were fine. We are also wondering if we should sue them for false price quotes and lying to us saying that we don't need new rotors. When we clearly do. Especially with how much the car shakes now.Business Response

Brought my vehicle in to be serviced at the end of January. Car was having difficulty starting and paid over $1k. shortly after having gone to goodyear my vehicle started leaking oil and the original reason I brought it in wasn't resolved. was told my oil pan was cracked and the oil drain plug was striped. Told me was over $1k to fix. I've never had my vehicle serviced anywhere else in 5 years and why wouldn't the tech tell me that when I last brought it in. When I declined to having my vehicle serviced again they tried to charge me a diagnostic fee. I was told I had a 10k mile warranty from when I was previously there and was never told about the fee. I ended up going to another mechanic and they told me there was no crack in my oil pan and that the oil drain plug was cross threaded and that was why I was leaking oil. Goodyear damaged my vehicle and tried to make me pay for their mistake. ******** charged me $100 to fix their mistake and I had to leave work early to get this resolved.Business Response
