I went to this Good year location on January 25, 2023 to get an oil change. I waited for the service team 2 1/2 hours for this oil change to get finished. I find a few days later I find a huge dent on my drivers side railing between my side mirror and the windshield. I filled a claim with good year claims department and got an estimate to repair the damage. Good year told me they aren't negligent for the damages to my car. There was no way anyone could have done this type of damage to this extent.Business Response

Mr. ****** brought his vehicle to our location on 1/25/23 for an oil change. This is the first and only time this vehicle has been in our shop.
Visual inspection of the 2021 Jeep Cherokee indicated multiple areas of rust and paint damage prior to service.. Please review attachment. As one can clearly see
on the picture attached rust is prevalent. This is not new damage.
It it worth noting that Mr. ****** never reported any damage to my store or presented his vehicle to us.
His response to our corporate customer service is that he did not bother because he knew we would deny the damage.
After further investigation our Corp. claim department declined his claim.
As the Store Manager I agree with their assessment.
If I can answer any question or provide further information please feel free to contact me.

We denied this claim due to the following reasons. Before any work is done or the vehicle is pulled in the bay to begin work, the associate fills out the 360 section on the back of the workorder. In this area we notate any preexisting damage for liability reasons. The technician marked down the damage the customer is speaking of. The work was performed, the customer paid for our services and left. 7 days later the customer states there was damage on his vehicle. The area they are referring to the paint is peeling and there is rust in thar area. With the rust you can see that damage did not just happen.Customer Answer

I desperately need your help.Purchased set of 4 tires Nov.10,1922 from Goodyear which offered $200.00 rebate. Requirements were Goodyear credit card, set of 4 tires and submit rebate form. Goodyear told me everything in order and sent information to ********* incentives rebate ctr. Dec.20,2022. Well 5 months, 22 emails and as many if not more calls still cannot secure rebate. First they say never received information then they did was going to contact GY. Never did. GY reference # **********. numerous calls to GY and they said they transposed my address #"s. My address is **** ******* and they said they sent **** ******* to *********. and GY tells me it is out of their hands. They offered and sold me the tires/rebate they should be responsible or try to help me expidite rebate. Rebate should be issued to me. At the time of purchase all rebate info. is in my name and I put my daughters name and address on the invoice for I purchased tires for her to take husband and I to medical appts. we are in our 80's and she would be the one taking them in for any service. GY told me it did not matter whoever paid for the tires I should put in for rebate. She actually does not have anything to do with this rebate. They have had her call several times verifying her name and address and everytime she calls or I call they said now has to go to esccation dept. with new case #. As of April 1,2023 they told her card would be sent to her in about 2- 3 weeks. Several hrs. later I get email states rebate on hold going to esccalation dept. again when in fact last 2 emails I received stated resolved. Call this # to assist in getting your card and each time this has got to go to escalation dept. with new case #. It's a dog chasing its tail. How many more hoops do I have to jump through. I've addressed every one of their requirements with only another email requesting same information over and over. Five months is ludicrous. Please, please help me. Just some of my case #'s ******************Business Response

Good afternoon,
We have been in contact with the customer and have determined why the customer has not received the rebate card. The name and address were different from that on the Credit Card used for the rebate form. However Goodyear has mailed the customer a rebate card and the customer has received the card.
Thank you

I find it necessary to reopen closed case # ********. Finally had received Visa rebate card which i fought 5 hard months for and thought complaint was resolved. Closed case , told Goodyear how happy I was and everything was good to go, Well was I ever wrong. The $200.00 card was used 2 days ago for a $23.97 purchase and next day tried to use it and balance was zero due to transaction adjustment. Called phone # on back of card got the same people that work at ********* Incentives who gave me 5 mth run around and was told could not discuss inactive account. What goes on here? GoodYear offers you a rebate just to get their sales up and have no intentions of honoring rebate. Deceptive practice at its best. Have read on the web the hundreds of people who have experienced the same thing done to them by *********. GoodYear has been using them for several years now and I am sure by all the complaints I have read about people trying to secure rebate they very well know what is going on. GoodYear sold me the tires and met everyone of their requirements and they should stand behind rebate. I am owed $176.03 and they have an obligation to see that I recieve it. It just seems so unfair for people to ripped like this. If they stand behind rebates they should not offer them. This now seems like a matter that should be reported to **** State Attorney General for investigation. All I want is $176.03 owed me.

It took approximately 5 to 6 months, but the end result was that Goodyear cut the consumer a check. She never did get the rebate card. The business sent one card and the consumer used it for $27 and some change. The card still had $172 and something left. When the consumer went the next day, the card was wiped out. A Goodyear representative was very helpful in resolving the matter. He worked diligently, and he and the consumer went back and forth with 27 e-mails. Finally, the representative got Goodyear to cut the consumer a check. So, the consumer did get the rebate, but not from the rebate card. The consumer was reimbursed and considers the matter resolved.Initial Complaint

I opened a credit card account and purchased $974.00 worth of tires October 2022. Part of the promotion was to receive a $100 Visa card after submitting a request.
Original request was denied, company stated the right information was not submitted (not true) BUT I resubmitted anyhow.
NOW I am being told, after MULTIPLE phone calls to various involved entities the promotion is over, Sorry.
I have been calling in attempt to resolve this issue for months now, I either get passed to other departments or hung up on. Yes, it is only $100, but I did my part, and I work hard for my money. I wonder how many customers have just given up on this and the company benefits.Business Response

I recently purchased a set of four tires from goodyear.com and have them install at a location located in Kentucky. When I went to pick up my car, I asked the person at the shop for insurance. They stated that because I purchased it online, they cannot give it to me. I noticed a bubble on one of the tires soon after the purchase. I did try to contact Goodyear regarding the issue, but there was a long whole time. I then remembered about the bubble a few months after this took place and contact a good year again. The first shot I called didn’t even want to look at my car without telling me I was going to be charged. I contacted the corporate number, and decided to take my car to another location that would inspect it. Before the shop even saw my car, I was told I was going to be charged. Finally when my car was inspected I was told that I was going to have to pay $215 for a tire. I called corporate as soon as I took it out of the shop and the representative said there are tires when purchased online they don’t provide insurance options, but you’ll have to do it in the shop. Again at the time of pick up from the original purchase of the new tires, I was never offered that option even when I asked. I called corporate again who then told me that that’s the best they’re going to do, and stated they can’t prove that I was never offered insurance. They continue to talk about the way the tire looks and that they shouldn’t even be offering me a lower price let alone giving me a free one. This tire was never good from the beginning. I did not caused the tire damage to happen. I am a very careful driver and avoid any hazards. Goodyear is failing to provide a new tire and no cost when their product was not good from the beginning and insurance was not provided for me to purchase from the beginning.Business Response

I bought tires using Goodyear credit card and filed for rebate online. My claim was denied and supposedly Goodyear sent me 2 emails notifying me of the denial but I never received them. They cannot resend me the emails to prove that they sent them and now the window has closed to resubmit my paperwork for the rebate.
I do qualify, and have the correct invoice to resubmit. I understand the window has closed, and if they sent the emails and I received them, I would not be upset. But since I don't show receiving any emails other than the first one saying my rebate was received, and they can't resend me the emails saying my rebate was denied, I think they should allow me to resubmit the correct paperwork and get the rebate.Business Response

This business lied to make a sale. They offered a "promotion" that they told me I qualified for without letting me know I needed to open up a credit card to receive the promotion. They gave me the flyer and underlined the amount I was to qualify for, and took my payment knowing that I was not using or opening their credit card. Once I tried to file for the promotion I was notified that I did not qualify because I did not open the credit card. I tried to reach out to the company and they apologized but said, I am sorry but you need to open a credit card with us. They used false information to make this sale. I will not be using them again.Business Response

Went to Good Year for an NYS Inspection. was told all that was wrong cost 888.88. Would take 2 hrs.
I said I wanted to go for a second opinion. I was told I could not go on the road with out a sticker. He had already taken mine off. I was entitled to a second opinion. So there I was. I had to let them do the work + I did not want it. Some of the things they did is not included in an inspection. Some of the work was no- charge but I was charged for labor. why didn't they first give me new brakes. I have no rust on my car. It's like new.Business Response

On March 22, 2023 I spoke to the consumer. I agreed the state inspection sticker should not be removed from the vehicle until after the consumer agrees to the service.
The consumers complaint will be forward to the locations District Manager for review.

While shopping for tires for my ****** ******, I decided to purchase Goodyear tires, as I have been a satisfied customer previously and they were offering a $200 rebate for Goodyear credit card holders (which I am.)
I purchased the 4 tires online in January 2023, which were installed without issue at my residence. I then went to a Goodyear service store and paid for alignment.
I submitted my online receipt via the link PROVIDED in the receipt. Few weeks later , I get an email stating my claim is on hold because I need to attach documentation. I add the same documents again and resubmit. Few days later, I get the same email. I do the same and also attach the statement from my Goodyear credit card, and get the same email.
I call the support number, operator tells me was filed under wrong program. She canceled my rebate and told me to resubmit. I comply.
Today I get another email, I follow the link and am advised that my rebate is on hold for required documentation.
Goodyear, please don’t make this complicated. You have my receipt and I am using your credit card. Please don’t make impossible administrative process to avoid paying the rebate that you were publicly advertising on your website and stores.
I am asking for Goodyear to promptly issue my rebate. I’ve attached my receipt here, again , and am asking them to honor their deal.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I have spoken to several Goodyear employees regarding this issue. I was impressed with them all. Unfortunately the 3rd party they use to do promotions does nor reflect Goodyear culture or service. They try to make the rebate process administratively impossible to use to limit payouts. The link they provided in my receipt to file for refun was not the correct one. Even when we addressed this, they claimed that rebate was on hold because my billing address did not match my receipt address. Even though it was exactly the same, and not a requirement of the rebate. So the program has issues, but at least Goodyear fixed it for me.

On 2/25/2023, I took my 2019 X5 Cadillac for an oil change. They called me later stating my car needed brake fluid because I told them the brakes were squeaking. The next day, I began having problems with my air because it wasn't cooling properly. I called on 2/28/2023 and spoke to *************************, who stated the services performed. I informed him the car was blowing air fine. There was no problem now the air doesn't work at all. His response was shocking. Instead of saying bring the car back in so we can check it, he stated don't I have a warranty on it. Now, he didn't ask did, I have a warranty when I brought it in for the oil change. Further, he stated if I don't have a warranty, I can bring it to them. How rude and insensitive. It seems like something was done to my car so I can bring it back to them. They have to pay for this bottom.Business Response
