      Four new tires purchased odometer 116161 10/15/2014 are dry rotting bad Filed claim #******** with goodyear claims. I gave claims date of purchase serial # from all tires and current miles on car. Was told to still under rotting warranty and take it to goodyear retail for inspection to confirm dry rot and mileage. Mother didn't take it in so I called Nov 10 2022 and was told claim still good and took it to goodyear Bingham tire Somerset ky. Bigham looked and everything said tires dryrotting to the point of separation from radial bands. Lady at Bingham spoke to claims rep for a half hour and finally came to me and said dry rot was only warrantied for 6 years and would not honor any claim. When I filed the claim was told still under 10 year rot warranty now told 6 yrs. I tried to call the warranty department who proceeded to tell me they didn't cover dry rot at all and I needed to call customer service. Customer service said they didn't handle that I had to call warranty.
      Questions 1. since it had been over 6 years when I filed the claim why was I not told that then. 2. whos right 6 or ten years. 3. Why does nobody know who covers dry rot. 4. Why should adjustment not be made when we bought 60,000 mi tires and they've only been driven 23,914 Miles why is no adjustment made. Tires have very good tread left but not safe to drive.
      We're not expecting new tires for free I expected a prorated Goodyear tire based on tread left. We would like a 62% adjustment which is the tread left on a new set of tires and I believe the 62% should go toward mounting and balancing and putting them on the car if the tires were good we would drive the use out of them and wouldn't have to buy tires at this point.       Thank you for making us aware of this concern. Our warranty covers dry rot cracking for four years from the date of purchase. Without a purchase invoice, the tire warranty is from the DOT number. The tires in question are from 2013 and are out of warranty. Attempts to reach the customer have been unsuccessful. We would be happy to see if we can offer any kind of goodwill concession but have not had a response to messages left on two different telephone numbers. The case remains open should the customer decide to contact us, but any action on our part is strictly a goodwill gesture.

      I am an over 20-year customer of Goodyear, whether franchise or Corporate owned locations. I have 3-personal and 1-fleet (work) vehicle I bring to this location. I completed a Goodyear survey the week of 11/7 for work performed on my fleet vehicle the week of 11/1. My issue is due to an in person experience 11/14/22 where I stopped in to get a tail light replaced. The manager on duty, I believe his name was ********* has dealt with me on several occasions since I relocated to this area over 18 months ago. My frustration with him and his employees is that they take forever to locate my customer information on record every time I call or come in.  They put me on hold or ask me the same dozen or so questions every time I show up for an appointment. So, during my visit 11/14, I voiced my frustration with their record keeping and that I never had this issue at the ********, ** store I always went to before relocating here. The manager said I quote, "Good for them and maybe you should go back to them then." After that poor exchange, I told him never mind and walked out. I would not recommend this location to anyone unless you have 1-vehicle to be serviced because they make you feel unappreciated.

      Goodyear advertised a rebate of $75 for purchasing 4 tires. They also doubled the rebate if I opened a Goodyear charge account which I did. When I went to purchase the tires from *****/************************* in *********, ** in September for my 2022 Camaro, only the rear ones were in stock. I had to wait a couple of weeks and was then able to get the front tires from Tire Rack.I then filed for the rebate and was told several that all 4 tires had to be purchased at once, which I would have done if they were in stock. After several elevations of my request for a rebate, last week I received a final denial.I think it is patently unfair to offer a rebate for tires that are not available and then punishing the consumer by denying the rebate. It also borders on a bait and switch tactic.

      I made an appointment online for oil change, tire rotation and alignment services for my Corolla as I always did. The appointment was scheduled for 9 am on 10/29/2022 at the **** ***** in ******************. I did not expect this routine service appointment to be a disaster. 1. The front desk told me I did not have an appointment that day. It turns out "they" rescheduled this appointment to a later date by mistake. The front desk (I believer his name is ******) then said "I will start from scratch". I turned in the key at 8:32 AM, and I did not see my call pulled in the garage until 9:30 AM. 2. I was told by front desk that there was a problem with the oil filter at first. Then I was told the oil filter housing was broken by them. This accident occurred to the same car on 5/14/2022! I still have all the records. I was told this plastic part would be replaced for free (again). 3. It was almost 11:20 AM when I was told the oil change was almost finished, but the alignment needs another 1.5 hours. I decided to reschedule that part and leave. 4. I was frustrated by what I experienced as described above, and forgot I had a paper coupon of 20 off 50 with me. Right after I signed on that small screen, I asked the front desk for help. First he said "I do not know how long it takes for you to get your money back", then he was about to start the refund process reluctantly. At that time, another front desk said they could not do that, only the manager could. The manager was in a meeting at the corporate office and nobody knew when manager would return to this shop. I could either wait in the lobby that day or come back Monday (10/31/2022). No other choices. They would not let the manager call me. I left the shop. BTW, they always called me with my last name only, without an honorific. They just called me "*****". 6. I called their customer ********************** at ************ option 5 on 10/31/2022. I was on hold for over 10 minutes, and could not hold any longer.

      My car was towed to ******* Tire Goodyear due to a flat tire that wouldn't hold air with the warning light on. To fix it, they pressured me into buying all new tires for $900. 7 days later I took it back because the light was still on and they filled it. 5 days later the light is STILL on and hasn't gone off since they replaced the tires. NOW they say the rim is bent and they can't fix it.WHY did they pressure me into buying $900 worth of all new tires if it wasn't going to fix the problem?#SCAM #UNETHICAL #GOODYEAR

      We are always concerned when we learn that one of our Company Owned and Operated Auto Service Centers or as is the case here, an Independent Dealership, has failed to exceed a customer's expectations with regards to our product or their service.

      As a manufacturer and supplier, under current day federal and state regulations, we are extremely limited in imposing rules or guidelines upon an Independent Dealerships service or pricing policies.  We have however, discovered that the vast majority of Independent Dealerships take a great deal of pride in running a professional and courteous operation and in serving the needs of their customers.

      I have taken the liberty of contacting the Dealership in question and discussing your situation with them.  They seemed truly concerned and are making every effort to resolve the customer's concerns. They will be responding directly once this matter has been resolved.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      The Goodyear saga continues... before I brought my car to Goodyear where I ended up buying 4 new tires unnecessarily... the tire light was on indicating the tire was low. The nightmare I previously posted happened but I didn't mention that the tire light was FLASHING when I picked it up. They said it would go off but it NEVER did... it is STILL on AND blinking. I just learned that the blinking indicates that the tire light is BROKEN. Approx $150 for repair The Goodyear Midtown Tire Manager suggests that it is merely a COINCIDENCE that the tire light is broken immediately after they changed all the tires.... because, of course, THEY didn't do it. Given I'm a single woman with little car knowledge... how is this NOT PREDATORY?? Invoice previously provided

      I went in today to get warranty maintenance service now I drive 20miles their and back I only deal with the owners of this establishment I have been going here since 1994 I have dealth with all the owners. When I arrived I had an appointment I was tardy it was a two semi accident and ALL the exapressways were bumper to bumper Alll morning, **** was their when I arrived I waited until he was done with his phone meeting he got me in and then He had to leave on an emergency, He said he advised The tech and the cashier of Me and that I was waiting. I GET MY CAR BACK AND THE INSIDE Is DIRTY, MY THINGS ALL SHUFFLED. They should have ASKED ME FOR MY TIRE LOCK, like **** has done in the past. THEY TOOK IT UPON THEMSELVES TO GO INTO MY CONSOLE AND TAKE IT OUT. SOMEONE TOOK A BOX OF CIGARETTES: (******** ******:yellow box) OUT THE BACKSEAT OF MY VEHICLE, TO TOP THAT OFF i get my keys back and its broken from the fob. I called back to speak with **** after I sat their and cleaned and disinfected my vehicle. They said he still was not back. I want cameras pulled to verify someone dropped my keys. I saw the techs throwi g keys at each other. I need my key fob replaced and If I continue to frequent this establishment, The tech working on my vehicle will have to wear gloves and a face mask.

The manager did make mention that none of the employees that worked that day smoke nor would of been in the backseat so would have no reason to take the cigarettes.

      Goodyear employees are upselling services that are not required. They are targeting females in particular. My 2018 Chevy Silverado received an alignment a few months ago and I was told that any future alignments will be free of charge. Today when my wife went to get the oil change, the salesperson Mr. ****** told her she needs alignment on the truck. Since my wife did not know that I already got the alignment, she agreed to it. They charge her almost $100 for the "alignment" which she did not need.
      After speaking to a few people in the neighborhood, I realized it is an ongoing issue with that company.

      I purchased a set of Goodyear Tires at the end of July, or early August. I have an issue with the right rear tire not riding smooth on smooth roads. It has a bounce, which one of Goodyear's Mechanics drove my SUV with me in it, and he felt the issue. For some reason, the Service Manager has an issue with me. I went back with set appointments on 6, "SIX", different occasions, and would be left to sit until I would get tired of waiting. I sent emails 2 times to Goodyear Corporation, and never recieved a reply.Here I sit.

      I dropped my Acadia off to Good Year to service my Air condition. I came back later that day to pick it up and the service guy told me they did a A/C performance check including A/C dye and did not see any leaks. The invoice is showing Freon was added. I paid $237.00 for the service. I drove it home and noticed the air was still warm and not really cooling in the car. I called and was told to come back on Monday to have it checked again. I dropped it off to have it checked again and when I came back to pick it up, I was told that I have a leak and that is why the is not cooling my vehicle. I was told it will require removal of my bumper to fix the leak at a cost around $1100. When I left Goodyear, I tried the AC again and felt really hot air on one side and warm air on the other side with a clicking sound. The actuator was damaged. I have all my receipts including when I had my actuator fixed last year. I WANT MY MONEY REFUNEDED for the A/C service and the amount for the actuator.

      After been going a customers at this **** **** location for many years, and spending so much money at this place. It used to be good that’s why I used to come here for a lot of services as shown in my pictures with all my receipts. But it has been getting worse and worse in terms of their customers service and they way they treat their customers who are paying for their services. This place has shown 0 respect to their customers who paid for their service! They truly don’t care about customers service at all! They also want to grab your money and make the deal , but if you want to make an appointment about the plan you purchase, they sounded like they seriously do not want to assist you and sounded like they were annoyed by customer’s phone call. Their customers service is a complete joke, it is more like they don’t want any customers to come and bother them( even after you purchase a three year plan upfront when they pushed you to buy, but when it comes to using the service that you prepaid, it all becomes a problem)

      The staff named ****** ******* has always been very rude and disrespectful to us many times.

      The way he handled phone call with those tones is unacceptable, his made us feel that when we call to ask questions or try to make an appointment is like we are bothering him and he doesn’t want to speak to customers. But what disgusted me the most is that they sell us the three year alignment plan but when we went to get our alignment done today, it was such a difficult process! So pretty much after you pay, you are screwed, because they seriously don’t want to help you at ALL! And the fact that this is not a one time incident, it has happened before when we had ACTUALLY made appointment with them, but he has denied regarding it before as well. I want to cancel my 3 year alignment plan and receive a refund for my remaining unused plan!!!!

      Please review and reference the attachments for the screenshots taken on my phone. The first screenshot shows that I received a miss called from the business on October 12th at 11:10 AM (PST) because I live in **********. Then the business's representative named ******* left a 30 seconds voicemail to me on Oct. 12th at 11:10 A (PST)

       

      But this Business stated in their message that they reached out to me on Oct. 11th, which is not accurate because I never receive any phone call on Oct. 11th, the only time they have every called me was on Oct 12th with only one voicemail left.

       

      I first called the business back on Oct 23 at 2:36 PM (PST)  and realized that they were closed on the weekend, then I called again for the second time on Oct 25th at 12:05 PM (PST) and a female representative answered my call. I provided her with my Claim Number right away when I called, and she found my name and asked if I was *******. I said Yes, then she said We have been trying to reach you for multiple times and was unable to get a hold of you.

      I immediately disagreed with her and said that's not true, you guys have only called me ONCE on Oct. 12th, I have my phone records with me and I never receive multiple phone calls from your company.  Then she started to check her notes and said ok, let me review your case, then she asked me if I wanted to receive a refund and I said yes, I provided her with my invoice number as well as the invoice date which was January 8th, 2021 and she confirmed the service location was for the ****** **** ***** located on **** ******* **** **** ** ******. I even confirmed and read this address to her. She then informed me that she will work on it and to see if they have submit the forms that's required to issue the refunds for me. Then I asked this representative whether I needed to call or contact anyone at this point while waiting for her to process the form for refund, she then informed me that I will just have to wait for them to call me back to resolve this and I do not need to make any action at this point. This phone call lasts for around 19 minutes, and until today, I still have NOT receive any call back to resolve this issue for my refund. Therefore, I do not accept the response made by the business unless they sincerely care for their customer and shows that they have move forward with my case and issue me the refund.
