I lease a 2023 Nissan Rogue. Lease began in May 2023. Had my car inspected March 2024 was told that the Goodyear Dunlop Grandtrek P21 tires on the car were at a 4 tread and would need to be replaced before the upcoming winter. The tires on my 10 month old car with 15K miles were at a 4 and needed to be replaced. 9/7/24 had tires rotation and oil change - now the tread is at a 3 and almost bald only have 18K miles. Called Nissan to lodge complaint to see if I could get some sort of compensation towards the new tires that I absolutely should NOT have to purchase yet. I was told no, they don't have anything to do with the tires themselves to call goodyear. Called GOODYEAR who I can not get on the phone - I've been left on hold three days straight for over 30 mins each time, they do not provide a tread warranty on this particular tire because they know they are crappy. Not one good review on this particular tire can be found! Nissan & GoodYear/Dunlop are okay with ripping off the consumer and putting these tires on new vehicles. These tires were first manufactured in 2020 when cutting products and costs to rip off the consumer became a thing. The fact that I have to replace the tires on my Rogue with less than 20K miles is absurd.Business Response

I spoke with the consumer and directed her to a local retailer for a tire inspection. The retailer will call with the tire inspection details. We will process a mileage warranty shortfall and prorate the replacement set of tires. The consumer accepted the offer.Initial Complaint

On Thursday 9/5/2024 At 3pm I Called goodyear and asked if they were able to perform an oil change service on my Tripac Evolution APU. The advisor said yes, took my drivers information and would call him at 17:00 to start the work.
17:00 my driver pulls up and they start the work. At 18:03 My driver says they said something went wrong and can't get the unit to start and that they're checking fuses.... I thought it was weird that they would be testing fuses for an oil change.... At 20:20 my driver says the manager wants to talk to you, calls me from his phone and puts the Manager on. The manager says "Look, I'm really sorry, but if we continue to work on your APU We're going to seize up this engine, I will not charge for the PM. We do not have a master tech on site because they left at 17:00. the tech that did your oil change doesn't know where he went wrong" I asked if he tried to fill the APU from the top, because it is very bad if he did, he paused for a moment said he doesn't know...
I asked for some kind of proof that my truck was there and what they did on it, because I was going to send them the repair bill. he said he understood and again was really sorry. He gave my driver those two copies I submitted.Business Response

We have been in touch with the location and will submit check payment refund. Upon further investigation, when the unit was serviced at our shop, we did not keep trying to start
the APU after the fuse blew. We do not stock that fuse, and
one had to be ordered which came in the next day. From what we did on the service, we are not at fault for the alternator. I do feel
responsible to pay the first initial invoice as promised to the customer and apologize greatly for our inexperience on this particular APU.Goodyear Executive Consumer Relations

I am rejecting this response because:
You guys are 100% responsible for my alternator as per ****** ****..... your guys attempt to keep starting an overfilled engine put alot of stress not only on my alternator but my starter and engine as well.... and the manager on duty that called me told me they replaced the fuse and if he continued to do so he was going to seize the engine... whether he found one in his toolbox or ran to the store to get it, is not my problem.... please listen to you lines if its recorded.... my driver was a few feet away from him as he was telling me this and he witnessed yalls multiple attempts to start a flooded engine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will not accept anything less than what you cost me and if we have to go to court I will want my missed work and the time and fuel my driver spent without an apu running my truck because you took a job you never should have!!!!Customer Answer

On July 3, 2024 I had a blowout on the right rear tire of my vehicle which was only 2 years old and only 22,000 miles. The blowout resulted in nearly $7,000 of damage to my vehicle plus the cost to replace the tire. I replaced the blown-out tire with the spare and went to the tire store the next day. They inspected the remaining tires and advised the left front tire had a ball/lump and the others were approaching the red, not good for service. I ended up replacing all 4 tires at their advice. I called goodyear who asked me to get 2 estimates for repairs and drop off both tires at a goodyear location near me who were to send the tires to Akron, OH for inspection. Goodyear decided to offer a rebate voucher for $212.00 for the tire with the ball but sent notice (file # *********) that they would assume no responsibility for the tire the blew out and caused property damage. These are all the same tires that were only 2 years old and 22,000 miles. I have sent goodyear the photos they requested and the estimates that I had to pay for as well as the receipts for the new tires I had to purchase. I do not feel I should be obligated to buy goodyear tires in order to use the vouchers and their quality is not there and no longer wish to outfit my vehicles with their brand or affiliated brands. I also do not understand how they can claim responsibility for one damaged tire but not the one causing property damage on the same set of tires.Business Response

We have reached out to the customer via phone and explained that
the future rebate letter can be offered being the 1 tire was replaced with a

I am rejecting this response because:
There was no response, all they did was attach the same letter they sent me in the mail. They did not address why they can be responsible for a tire with a ball and not a blow out tire that causes damage on the same set of tires at the same time. Their quality assurance department is likely to blame.Business Response

On 8/6/24 I brought my vehicle in for a diagnosis& oil change-the check engine light was on; the gas cap was replaced and was advised to come back if light comes back on. The light came back on, I stopped in to make an appt, the manager stated that he will have it 'smoked out' to see where the issue is. I came back on 8/30/24 and the vapor canister purge solenoid was replaced. On 9/4/24 the light came back on again! I have another appt on 9/7/24 at 8am - I am annoyed, frustrated and angry. I have owned vehicles since I was 25 years old, and I am now 55 years old and any repairs I had done I did not have to go back 2 and 3 times, one time I even had an engine and a transmission replaced so I dont understand why this is difficult. I have dealt with repair shops that brought in an engine or transmission expert at the time of appt, I have missed unpaid work time and I have an expired inspection sticker. I do not feel that this expense on 9/7/24 should be on me or at least compromise- don't charge me labor or just pay half the bill, so far I spent $580.93 with this Company.Business Response

I purchased a set of tires from goodyear and after being on the truck for less then 100 miles the white letters turned brown. I called corporate and they replaced with another set. They also turned brown within a couple days. ******** store replaced them no questions asked. I take the truck in Aug 17 for the 4th time to get a different set of tires put on due to the 3 previous sets turning colors. Upon walking out of the store I see a 12 inch long scratch on the driver rear door with a greasy boot print on my chrome step bar instead of the black foot pad. I walk back in the store to bring to their attention and the manager takes pictures and I get a call Monday the 19th from the store stating that they don’t feel they caused the scratch. So I call corporate and file a claim for property damage and a week later I get a call stating they are denying the claim because it looked like a box was leaned up against my freshly painted truck and slid down the door.Business Response

Hello,
Looking at the pictures that the customer has provided. it looks like a box, or something was leaned against the truck and slid down the door, that caused the scratches and scuff marks to the customer vehicle. the Goodyear location shares the parking lot with a shopping center (Mall), the service invoice notes the damages to the customer vehicle prior to working on the vehicle.
Thank you,
The Goodyear Property Damage Claims Team

I am rejecting this response because:
The truck was completely repainted 2 weeks prior. The smudge on the scratch was from me rubbing it with a damp cloth to see if the mark would come off or not. I obviously did not take the time to dry it off after I wiped it. I have enclosed a new picture of the same mark. I would love to know where the scratches all over this truck are at. That comment could have very easily been added to the paper after I complained seeing how I didn’t get a copy of the inspection sheet upon completion of the job.Customer Answer

I purchased a set of four tires online on 8/6/24 for $1,286.25. They were installed 8/14/24 at Goodyear store # **** ( mileage 106,467). After experiencing horrible vibration at high speeds I went back to store #**** five days later on 8/19/24 for a re-balance ( mileage 106,689), but the horrible vibration was still there. On 8/20/24 I called the store manager and asked if he checked to see if any tire was out of round, and he said they did not have that equipment, and that no other Goodyear store in Kansas City did. I asked the store manager at #****, that if I took the truck to Discount Tire and they found that the tires were out of round would they replace them, and he said yes. On 8/27/24 (mileage 107,085) I went to Discount Tire, who determined that three out of four tires were out of round. On 8/28/24 I went back to Discount Tire to get the defective tires replaced, which after Goodyear's adjustment cost $166.55
I drove the truck 222 miles before I brought the problem to the attention of the Goodyear store, and another 396 miles until the three defective tires were replaced. I fail to understand why I should be out $166.55 , when I immediately pointed out the problem and your store who did not have the proper equipment to diagnose the problem, and could not resolve the issue. The time and effort I have spent to correct this problem, and the horrible vibration experienced for two weeks is unacceptable. Goodyear's quality control must be horrible if three out of four tires were out of round. I have bought Goodyear tires most my life and typically use Goodyear stores for routine maintenance, but this situation is not right. You state that your warranty is 100% satisfaction guaranteed for the first 30 days, and I am not satisfied!
I respectfully request the refund of $166.55, and $300 for my time and mental anguish.Business Response

While we understand the frustration, the customer called us on 8/27/2024 to report his issue with the tires. The customer explained that he had to go out of his way to get the road force test done which we refunded with a check for $96.00. Then we also dropped the price of the tires from $311.00 to $28.27 for customer satisfaction which brought the customers total to $113.08. The customer would be responsible for taxes and installation.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
Three out of four of the Good Year Work Horse tires were defective. There must be some serious quality control issues at Good Year. I brought this to the attention of Goodyear five days after they were installed, with only 222 miles on them. I should not have to pay anything to replace and balance the three replacement tires. Request a refund of the adjusted tire price and installation for a total of $166.55Business Response

On August 15-16, 2024 I decided to get new tires for my Jeep Grand Cherokee at Dicount Tire. Noticed GoodYear had a rebate promotion for select Goodyear tires. I even asked the Manger about the promotion and asked which tires were available for the rebate. I picked the GoodYear Wrangler SteadFast HT & was informed I would receive a $100 Goodyear Visa Gift Card if I purchased the above tires. I paid $1,259.87 for 4 tires and installation. Afterwards I uploaded my receipt I received via email on the Goodyear rebate website which was on August 20, 2024, I filled al the required information out and submitted the rebate. Today is August 25, 2024 I decided I’d check on my rebate and after checking Goodyear denied my rebate request for not meeting program requirements. Which doesn’t make sense because it even says the tires I got were available for the $100 rebate. If I knew this would have been the case I wouldn’t have bought any Goodyear products. My claim number is **********. The resolution I want is for me to get the rebate I am entitled too!Business Response

While investigating the denied rebate claim, we were
informed by the Rebate Center, “Upon review,
it appears that the claim was declined because the invoice provided is
inconsistent with the invoice format for this retailer (Discount Tire)
location. Our processing team is unable to verify the purchase.”
Following this
information, we reached out to the Discount Tire location listed on the customer
provided invoice at *** **** ***e. We spoke to a representative, ****, who researched
customer history using both the phone number on the invoice and the phone
number in the complaint. Discount Tire found the last recorded customer history
with the provided phone number was from 2022. Discount Tire also researched
their product movement history for that specific tire and has no transactions
for that tire at their location. Discount Tire also confirmed the Receipt #******** is not a valid invoice number. All of Discount Tire’s invoices only include
numerical numbers with no letters. Discount Tire was unable to confirm purchase
of these tires for this customer at their location and was unable to confirm
the invoice provided by the customer.Unfortunately,
using the information provided by Discount Tire, we are able to process the
customer's request of issuing a $100 rebate.Initial Complaint

On July 25 I took my car in to the Goodyear at *** ********* **. For a simple oil change
I immediately noticed an issue. It was making weird sounds it had never made before, stuttering everytime I accelerated, which almost caused an accident
I brought it back where I sat at the store for another several hours, they determined a mechanic had drained all of the transmission fluid. Which may have caused permanent damage to my transmission. They replaced it and the stuttering became unnoticeable… temporarily.
The next day we noticed all the oil in my car had drained out causing a massive stain in my driveway.
They towed it back and noticed they hadn’t put the drain plug back on properly.
Since then the stuttering has returned, specifically when it’s still warming up. Since this is extremely dangerous we haven’t been able to drive it safely in a week. I have tried calling your several 1800 numbers. I have left voicemails every day for over a week on all of them, no return calls. The one that does provide an email address in the voicemail, is a fake email.
have an appointment 8/22 to get it checked by a reliable mechanic. If they determine it needs any repairs, you and this branch are on the hook for it. I will take this branch to small claims court over damages if I have toBusiness Response
