1 starSTAY AWAY!!! STAY AWAY!!! STAY AWAY!!! A+ JERKS & BULLIES. First red flag was when they gave us a quote without seeing our stuff. They high pressure pushed us into signing a contract and giving them a direct deposit of $2K. As soon as we hung up, we got a real bad feeling about it and tried to cancel. The salesman, Robert K, actually said, "I didn't put a gun to your head. You're a man. I just spent hours breaking my back to schedule the trucks. We're keeping your money."
How can you keep $2K for making a few calls? RIDICULOUS!!!Review fromBridget S

1 starHighway robbery, literally. When we called for an estimate, which included an inventory of our home, we were estimated approximately $7500. About a week before the moved UIR said it would be another $7200 because of the inventory change (apparently too many boxes). The day of the move, our movers were very nice and worked hard, but the truck they brought was small, certainly not a semi. I was advised we had too much for their truck and had to call his supervisor. After 1/2 and hour and another inventory they began to pack. I asked if it would all fit and was advised they would do the best they could. Well, a great deal of our things were left behind with no advise on how it would be handled/corrected. I believe it was 5 days later they arrived at our new home. Two gentlemen arrived first kind of looking lost, apparently they were movers. Shortly after that the truck arrived. The driver was gregarious and fund, but said we owed another $2000, which we paid because we wanted our stuff. Boxes were not carefully moved, were stacked willy nilly, upside down, sideways. Even after we asked that they not do that. Numerous items were broken, include for large metal shelves on casters (all casters broken). Shelves were crunched on the corners so they wouldn't stand, boxes were broken open, spilling contents, stoneware cooking pans (heavily wrapped in bubblewrap) were broken, dishes cracked and broken, damaged bedframe, missing items. Robbery. So upsetting. Please, please DO NOT use this mover. We started with an estimate of $7500 and paid almost $18,000. Devastating losses.Review fromMichael F

2 stars********
They were hours late to pick up and dropped off late at night. They hire young kids trying to make a few bucks and don't know how to treat their employees. The kids that dropped my stuff off were going on 18 hours of straight work and not being paid overtime. Also, they surcharge 30% so when we thought we were paying a final balance of around $2000 dollars they demanded $3700 in Post Office Marked checks. F this company who operates at a estimate and when they arrive they overcharge you by the thousands!!Review fromAlex F

1 starAwful experience! Discussed plan with consultant numerous times before the move to ensure I would have enough space and delivery date would be established. Movers showed up 6+ hours late, were intoxicated (marijuana) and refused to touch anything until a video was sent to dispatch. Dispatch then called and insisted I pay an extra $1000 for more space and sent over contract for review. In contract, delivery window spanned 2 months despite discussing need for specific day - and you guessed it, they offered a specific day for an extra $1500. When revised contract was sent over, window remained the same but the cost was increased. We cancelled the whole thing and opted for a UHaul Box transfer instead (much wiser) but the whole process was awful and stressful. The company clearly had no intention of moving my things with the quoted budget and were cruel and rude in their negotiations.Review fromClaudette M

4 starsI’m not sure where to begin. My mother had been placed in a nursing home, so I had to go and clear the house and get it ready for sale. So I was already stressed. First of all, I appreciate everyone who talked to me on the phone for their patience. Being inexperienced in moving furniture across country, I sometimes did not understand what they were telling me. I repeatedly asked questions, but still did not understand all that was involved, until later - which did cause anxiety.
However, I was very impressed with the people who came to pack and unpack my stuff. They were very polite and friendly. They wrapped my furniture extremely well. The unknown regarding my delivery date was misunderstood to me, So, I called. In response to saying I did not want evasive answers, they explained to me that this time of the year is a very busy moving season. I remember hearing this answer when I had thought of using an U-Hall. So I relaxed after that. Actually I did not have to wait very long.
The first price given was an estimated price. So it do go up a little when I ended up adding some more items.
I do want to say that the office people sometimes give out rote answers. But again they were very patient with my confusion. The experience was good, but I am glad that the whole process is over now.Review fromPatricia C

1 starHORRIBLE!!! Ended up having to have my sons rent a UHaul at the last minute to move our things from Montana to Washington….two ce did not show up when expected, then wanted to raise price at time of move saying i understated what I had….similar to other reviews I’ve read and still no response to my calls for refund. So disappointed in humanity right now. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!Review fromGeorge B

5 starsMoving across the nation or worldwide is a lot of effort, and I understood that going in, but I needed something to prepare me for that. Throughout the procedure, Joseph and his colleagues treated us with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.Review fromAnonymous C

1 starWARNING: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Unexplainable rate increases, Unknown delivery (No show for us so far!), appears to be $ making scam. US Interstate & Rail quoted scope of services and a price. They asked for 1/3 of quote We paid. On promise date, 3rd party truck arrived. To keep costs down, we inventoried, packed, and labeled items ourselves WITH FEWER ITEMS THAN QUOTED (3 less bins). 3rd party movers did wrap furniture well. After packing in their truck, they said more space was taken on the truck than quoted, so more $ owed. This was surprising & frustrating, but we paid. This move is for an elderly woman, after multiple communications to the company of a delivery date, there was no call 24 hours prior,. We called to ask for approximate arrival time, they said SOMETIME IN THE NEXT 14 DAYS. Um, how do you have someone just wait 14 days? Why hadn't this been shared in any of the multiple previous communications? I called and spoke to a rep, I was told a manager would call me the next business day at 9:30am. Not surprisingly, no call. Now, I'm very concerned this elderly woman's items may never arrive. My next call is to legal counsel. CAUTION: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYReview fromJulian F

1 starQuoted tues or wed arrival 11am to 3pm. No show with at least 7 calls. Already out 800 for the deposit so not really trying to cancel as i booked 20 days in advance. I get a call from the driver at 1030pm saying he will be there by 2am if i still wanted them to load. I said sure as i had 22 27gal totes, a love seat, a dresser and a tv stand+the tv. Would maybe take 30min. In order to pick up they need the bill of lading sent to me or them. The movers sat for 3hrs. 2am to 5am with no one contacting anyone. I needed to be out by thurs 8am or i would be charged another months rent. They said they would be back at 10am. They came at 4pm after i called numerous times in between. Again, bill of lading didnt show until one of the guys called a dif supervisor that got it to us by 730pm. I got charged a month's worth of rent because no one showed and that they showed a whole day late with 0 communication in their end. Everything loaded fine. The drivers were very nice. I get a call at 11pm after i just drive 18hrs from delaware to Florida. Telling me i need to cover a $500 shuttle because they used a different truck to deliver. Again the movers were very nice. The guy i worked with giovanny gatina i cant say didnt try to help but at the end of the day, telling me to venmo him the rest then not having a venmo account setup is maybe the most unprofessional thing ive ever heard of. If it werent for the movers being chill and needing my 4 yr olds belongings,i might have just let my stuff sit in storage. After checking the truck i see 2 of my monitors and my sony soundbar/subwoofer are missing. I also had two boxes that were missing from the list and i imagine they dont care as the guy i spoke with giovanny doesnt seem to give a rats behind about the customer service side of issues of urgency. This isnt a simple tv install or some sort of pizza delivery. People moving expect a lot from a service you spend 2 or 3 months worth of rent on. Rather hara kiri than deal with them again.Review fromNeil M

1 starIf I could give a zero star rating, I would. This is the worst moving company I have ever dealt with! I had a quote to move roughly 70 boxes. It was estimated as approximately 515 cubic feet. I double and tripled checked the sizes and quantity of boxes and the estimate of 515 cubic feet was actually slightly higher than the actual measurements. When the movers arrived, 9 hours late (almost 9 pm), the driver had no paperwork and took some photos of the boxes and said he needed to talk with someone about the estimate. I received a call a few minutes later from someone at the company saying that based on a few photos of the boxes that the new estimate on the shipment was now 1000 cubic feet! I told him that was impossible and asked how he could determine that from a few photos. He told me he was very experienced in estimating shipment sizes and unless I gave them almost twice the money from the original estimate, they would not take the shipment. We were closing on our house in two days and had no choice but to sign the revised estimate since it was too late to speak with anyone else at the company. I called the company the next morning and explained the situation and asked for a detailed bill of lading. The woman I spoke with had the audacity to tell me that the shipment volume wasn't measured in cubic feet, eventhough the quote estimate was based on cubic feet. She said there was nothing she could do and it will take 3 to 5 business days to get a detailed bill of lading. Do yourself a big favor and never do business with these theives!
