  I recently went through a harrowing experience with US Interstate and Rail. During my initial phone contact with them, we agreed that according to my inventory, my final price would be $2500. I paid a deposit of $1007. On the pick-up day, two young men in a truck arrived. One of them asked me to show him my stuff and he took a video which he sent to someone on the phone. I waited for over one hour while the two movers slept in the truck in front of my apartment complex. Then I get a phone call from someone who told me that my inventory was bigger in size than we had estimated and I would need to pay more. The cost went up to more than $4000. I needed to pay $1618 before they could load anything on the truck. By this time it is 5pm. I had to leave the apartment the next day or trigger a new lease. I was also told I would lose my deposit if I changed my mind. I was pushed to the wall. After payment via echeck. the movers loaded the truck with our stuff. They left behind items that should have been in the truck. It was a very difficult evening, but little did I know this would be the beginning of a nightmare. My family went through the trauma and agony of waiting for our things to be delivered for over seven weeks. Upon inquiry I got all manner of excuses, the most common being "the delivery spread you signed". Long story short, my stuff got delivered without the 24 hour notice that was promised and an added cost for shuttle delivery. There were missing, broken, damaged, smelling items some dripping wet. We are still dealing with the foul smell. The next day USIR sent me a final bill of lading that has no total amount paid (still shows I owe them $1625) and the date signed is erroneous. They refused to change anything, saying that's what I signed. How could I knowingly sign the wrong date on my bill of lading? Even with photo and video evidence of delivery, USIR insisted that the wrong date had to stay. I haven't recovered from the trauma of dealing with this company.

  What a bunch of dirtbags. 2 26 trucks show up to laid my belongings, after paying an exorbitant amount for second truck only to have 1 26 truck show up a my new address. Was told second truck on its way. Never showed. Then told by ***** , their useless t*** of a customer service rep that I had received all my belongings. Do the math idiot, 2-1=1 one whole truck missing. They made no effort to locate 2nd truck. What I did receive was broken and damaged. Irreplaceable antiques, family heirlooms, everything. With all these complaints I think a class action lawsuit would be the way to go. I cant stress enough to avoid these pieces of s*** *************************, very disgusted client . Forced to select a star they they definitely do not deserve. Also this started with Americas Moving and Storage, then US Interstate and thieves, moved on to ********* Transportation, then Tevi Movers and Carefree Movers. These moving brokers are crooks and the funny thing is when you call customer service you always end up talking to the same t*** *****. Anyone that left a review I recommend notifying the ****** They have a whole department that deals with fraudulent moving companies . Right now in fact they have launched a Nationwide crackdown on these pieces of s***

  Would absolutely NOT recommend using this company. Our initial quote of $1,700 from ****** to ********** turned into a total of $4,000. The movers ended up coming the day after our scheduled move, and customer service had no contact with them, only dispatch, who we werent allowed to speak with! Once they arrived, we sent a video and the dispatch guy called us saying wed need to pay $500 more because we had more stuff than the cubic feet we were quoted. Okay, how do you know this? He literally could not give us a reason. All he could say was Ive been here for 6 years so I just know. He was also beyond rude to us, essentially trying to pick a fight. Obviously we didnt have much choice, as the movers were there, so we paid it. Then, they put our stuff on the truck and were on their way. They told us initially it was going to be 3-4 days. NOPE. That turned into a full month. A MONTH. Without our stuff. Unbelievable. No one could give us any information on what was going on. Once they finally called us after a month, they told us wed have to pay another $500 for a smaller truck (it was literally a massive truck so there is no way they put our stuff in a smaller truck). Then, they ended up saying we had too many stairs, after they told us on the phone that we wouldnt have to pay for them! On top of all this, half our stuff was broken or chipped. Absolute terrible experience. I cant imagine any of these 5 star reviews are real, because they were horrendous all around. They lied to us over the phone on basically every call. We considered pursuing legal action because no one I know has ever experienced something this bad from movers. Dont give them your money, because theyll end up making you pay way more than you think. Now we have to file our claims and hope for the best, but we assume we wont be getting anything at this point. Very upsetting situation.

  This company is a scam! I spoke to ************************* on July 16th ***** He assured me he was a 5-star rated company for moving.He asked me how many bedrooms was the apt I told him 2.Moving from a 2 bedroom to a 2 bedroom apt from ******, ** to ******* ** in towards end of July it was mutually agreed to be done July 21st 2023.**** asked the usual questions of what was in every room he assured me need not be measured..******* was given of around ******* on July 16th by credit card.**** confirmed date of July 21 I said it to be very important my sons were gonna meet family that night along the way. Friday came no answer or arrival kept calling the company each day and on 4th Day Monday morning 24th they arrived.The movers said they needed to take pictures and office called they needed 4k more for the move. My sons said they had the rest of the agreed upon money and the company refused.My sons Said they each had empty pick up trucks to put some stuff in but the company refused the help and left because my sons would not give the 4k when asked.Please help us get my sons the deposit back this was definitely a SCAM.There is many other similar situations with the company.Please BBB. I have tried to get help from the credit card company and by calling the company directly.

  DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY!!! They dont even deserve a 1 star. I helped my sister and her family move to another state. While my sister and family had already moved, their things were still at my home so I was the one in contact with the movers. My sister discussed with them all the items she had and they gave her a quote prior to the pick up date. On the scheduled pick up date, I showed the movers all of my sisters things. After looking at all the items they stated they cant take it all unless my sister pays an additional $5K. I was in disbelief because why would any company want to charge extra money after stating a certain amount and having a signed contract in place. Also why would they think people will be open to pay thousands of dollars without agreeing to it prior. After discussing this issue with a manager (that was very rude), we decided they will take some things and have to leave some. This was very stressful for my sister and her family because they needed all their things. After 1 week of waiting they finally delivered my sister's things just to tell her it will be an additional amount to drop it off because of the kind of truck they had. Once they dropped their things off my sister realize they broke her tv, broke so many of her kitchenware, and misplaced some items. Dealing with this company was so stressful from the beginning to the end. This company is a scam! I repeat DO NOT BOOK THEM.

  Def not giving any stars. They lied to me on the estimate. Doubled the price on the move out date after they tried to change the date on me. Then they charged even more upon arrival for the number of feet to move everything in. They didnt tell me any of these things on my initial estimate call. They said it was price per item, but the movers came and said it was one cubic foot per charge. Which means, if you have a medium moving box, thats a double charge as its 2 cubic ft. Also, one of the movers tried to strangle another of the movers in my living room. Their supervisor said they were just playing around. They did not look like they were playing around. On the other end, when dropping my stuff off, I was treated exceptionally rudely. I was asked if I was an alcoholic because I had dishes in liquor store boxes. I was continuously asked if I was married and was it my first marriage.When everything was unloaded, there were chunks of wood gone from furniture, bags were ripped up, boxes were smashed and everything was unblanketed and thrown into storage so that I still cant get to anything to see the total damages. I would advise no one to ever use this company, especially if you are female.I give them 0 stars but it made me pick one to submit a review.

  WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE-These people are a scam! We provided a pretty detailed description of our items and on the day of pick up received a phone call with a new quote that would be more than double the initial quote. We had to leave all our large furniture in order for us to be able to keep to the space and not incur the extra cost. We couldnt cancel because they made it known that we would forfeit our deposit. As if this wasnt bad enough! The day of drop off they call that their 18 ******* will not be able to come to a our drop off because it is residential and an additional fee will be needed for a smaller truck to bring our items to our house. This call came in a few hours before they wanted to drop it off. They expected the final payment in cash (this we knew already) and now the additional fee would need to be paid in cash as well. When the items arrived we quickly realized there was no way all our items would have fit in the space allotted for us. The people that did the actual moving of the boxes were very polite and professional and quick. The truck arrived with my childs baby gate strapped to the back of it and completely filthy. The person we spoke to initially, *********, started this horrible experience. She was so nice, persistent and did whatever it took to make this sale and get our deposit. She did not make the it clear that we would have to pay a shuttle fee because our drop off was in a residential area. She did not allot enough space for our items so that the day of we would have no choice but to pay more if we wanted all our things. The lack of communication once our items were picked and with them was also another issue. We didnt hear from them until a few hours before they wanted to drop off our things. Of course not before the twisted our arm for even more money. We are now forced to find a way to get all the large furniture items they left to us. And additional cost that should never have been incurred.

  With all the negative reviews this company has, I needed to share my POSITIVE experience. I have to admit, I was nervous to go with them because of the reviews and a couple snotty replies from one of their customer service agents, but, overall experience was smooth and easy. All the reviews mentioned being charged thousands more than quoted but I did not have that experience. The drivers didnt arrive on time, but when they did, they kicked ****. ****** was there first and did the inventory while we waited for his counterpart. Once **** got there, they were loaded and closed within 30 minutes. When I booked on the phone, I was quoted a price and ended up being charged $150 more. On sign up I was also quoted that my stuff would be in the arrival state within 5 days. On pickup day I was told 2 weeks but it actually took 4 weeks. No big deal in all reality, but they did not communicate any of that to me so one day I got a random call/text that theyd be there in 4 hours. Due to that, I had to make an address change to a storage facility and the drop off driver was amazing about it. His name was ******. My brother and *** were there upon arrival and said ****** and his counterpart kicked **** there too. Can also confirm that nothing was damaged. Thank you US Interstate for making this overall experience great.

  Do not use these scammers. They will tell you one price to get your deposit then they show up and double the price before they will load the truck. If you refuse they keep your original deposit and leave.

  Crooks, scoundrels, extortion ists, liers. Increased price on spot. If I could give minus 10 stars, I would give them minus 100.
