Hidden text in coupon limiting a deal to 5 items without communicating the limit. Can only find thi limit on the website not on the store shelf. They did allow us to return the excess product for a refund.

I applied for a job once at a ********** **** (***********************- apparently that location closed several years ago) Kroger 12* years* ago*. I did not sign up for the Kroger email newsletter when I did so-I made sure of this. Kroger has been bombarding me with unsolicited emails ever since, no matter how many times I've unsubscribed over and over and over and over again- including again today! They have wasted multiple hours of my time and energy over the years which is the same as stealing from me- just like Kroger regularly does when they rampantly make prices higher at the register then as listed on the shelves and the sales flyers.

HORRIBLE! They don't honor the price of the items that you paid for the day you ordered them and instead charge you the difference after they deliver your items which is literally the MOST RIDICULOUS bait and switch that I've ever had happen to me anywhere. It's like booking a hotel room and then showing up and they charge you a higher room rate because the demand went up. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE!? They refused to refund my order or take my items back and there was nothing I could do. I'm going to attempt to call my bank but I will NEVER use Kroger again. This explains why they didn't last in Texas, horrible grocery store. I'll never not go to HEB again.

My 83-year-old mother is a lifelong Fred Myer shopper in ****** Washington. Today, she went there to shop for Thanksgiving and when she went to the check stand, her purse was missing. The purse contained her wallet, phone, car keys and cash so she was extremely concerned that it was stolen from her cart. She went to the security officer who refused to help her. He instead sent her to the customer service desk and said there was nothing he could do to help her. He didn’t walk her to customer service. He didn’t make sure she could contact police or family for help or to report potential crime that happened in his store. He didn’t care about her wellbeing. When my mother went to the customer service desk, there were two staff members and no other customers. They told her that the only thing they would do was call the non-emergency police line. She could not use their phone. Then she proceeded to help the next customer who arrived after my mother. That other customer had overhead the conversation, and was so disgusted with Fred Myer’s unwillingness to help an elderly woman, that she offered her own personal phone to help and said that she'd stay as long as needed to help. The Fred Myer employees sat there and did nothing. My mother called 911 with this other customer's phone and a ***** Police officer came immediately. There was a potential crime and of course it was an emergency. My mother has been shopping at this Fred Myer since it opened as a loyal customer. At a time of great need, they repaid her loyalty of this 83-year-old woman with indifference. They told her she was on her own and wouldn’t even allow her to use their phone. My mother says she will never shop at Fred Myer again. I can’t blame her. They haven’t just lost her as a customer, they’ve lost all her friends. They’ve lost my family. They’ve lost anyone that ever hears this story of cruel indifference to a loyal elderly customer. Shame on you Fred Myer.

Kroger I55 ******* ** Used the self check out #**. As I was completing my purchase. The cash register blacked out. Then my receipt came out after the cashier came over and it said that the purchase was completed but that the gift card I was purchasing wasn't activated. She then sent me to customer service. The customer service agent said that register always shuts down while in use and started laughing. I waited over 30 minutes for a manager, 2 showed up and both laughed about the register ** always shutting. They said they couldn't prove that the purchase was completed and I showed them that I had been taken out of my checking account. I asked for my money back or a activated gift card. They called the number on the gift card I purchased and the said it was not activated and they didn't know how to activate and they couldn't give me a refund. They then claimed that they called their card services and it would be refunded in **** days however NONE OF THE SO CALLED MANAGEMENT OR CUSTOMER SERVICE HAD ON NAME TAGS AND THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME THIER NAMES. THEY WERE EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I LEFT KROGER WITH OUT MY GIFT CARD OR A REFUND. IF A BUSINESS IS GOING TO USE SELF CHECK OUTS THEY SHOULD ENSURE THAT THEY PROBABLY WORK AND HAVE KNOWLEDGEABLE EMPLOYEES WHO KNOW HOW TO FIX OR REFUND CUSTOMERS WHEN THE BUILDING REGISTER GOES OUT AND NOT TREAT THE CUSTOMER LIKE ITS THIER FAULT. IF THE BUSINESS HAS DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT THEY SHOULDN'T CONTINUE TO LEAVE IT AVAILABLE AS A SELF CHECK OUT TO UNWITTINGLY BE USED AND MESS UP A CUSTOMER'S PURCHASE. I CHECKED OUT AT 12:39 AND AFTER 2PM I WAS STILL ATTEMPTING TO GET THIS RESOLVED WHILE THE MANAGERS WERE LAUGHING BEING UNPROFESSIONAL AND LACKADAISICAL.

I purchased a **** gift card. It did not work from the minute I got it. Kroger will not honor it and told me I had to take it up with the bank that issues the ****** through their store. I have called **** multiple times and still do not have a resolution. On 10/29/23, I was told I had to fax a copy of my id, the receipt, and the card to them and they would issue a new card. I don't understand why they need my id since this is a gift card that has no name on it. But, I faxed everything on 11/1/23. Today, 11/21/23, I still have no card and have heard nothing from them. I called and was told they couldn't read my id and I needed to fax it again. I asked why no one called or emailed to let me know that and was told that the team that handles these doesn't call or email. I asked how I would know that and didn't really get a straight answer. I feel like if Kroger is selling these cards in their stores, they should make it right when there is a problem with the card from the minute you purchased it. I feel like I'm just getting the run around from both Kroger and the bank. I even went to the Kroger website and sent a message to them. I got a return email that said I should receive a response within 48 hours. I never got a response but did get a survey asking if I would like the person that handled my complaint to help me in the future. I told them no because I have never gotten a response at all. I still haven't received one.

I Shop at the ****** ** Fred Meyer and will never buy electronics from them again. They only offer a 30-day Return/Exchange policy and most electronics start having issues after 90-days. I find their advertisement for being convenient false and misleading as I have had to write and request from the Manufacturer to replace a ****** that has stopped working after 5 months. It is out of my control if they are not made properly and believe they can be the in between and return to the manufacturer to satisfy customers (that is what returns department is for). Please beware when you purchase anything from them as they do not guarantee anything after 30 days.

I have spent money with Kroger for over 30 years. The last few times they don’t honor their ads. Many problems on the last visits but this time they charged me $5.49 for Fritos when there ad was $1.99 clearly stated on their weekly ad. This time I was not going to pay as I have in the past so they held the checkout line for ten minutes while Stephen went to the end cap to look. He came back to say he could not find it. I told them to put them back as I finished paying and took my purchases to my car. I went back in and took the add off the end cap shelf and presented it to Stephen as he was cashing out other people. I pointed it out to him and I left. I’m finished with them as There are many other stores to purchase from. This was the Camp Bowie store in Fort Worth. It has gone way down hill !

Putting the Apeel coating on organic produce and fruit and there is no label letting us know. I asked the produce mgr. about it and he said he didn't know anything it is a corporate thing. That means its no loner organic, they are deceiving us.

I bought 3 bags of groceries at Kroger (they own 90% of grocery stores in the u.s.). The bagging boy put 2 of the 3 bags in my cart. I realized one was missing the next day. The manager asked me why I didn’t call immediately when I got home. I showed him that my receipt gives me 14 days. (Putting the customer on trial is today’s system of gaining customer loyalty today). I pointed out that the store was the largest chain in the u.s., that he was overworked & underpaid because of the newer corporate business models, that him & I were in a debate, & that 30 years ago, the managers apologized sincerely, & cheerfully gave the customer the missing items (no questions asked). He then told me “I OWN THIS CORPORATION”. Folks, I am boring you with my whining because this manager’s statement proves the extremity that “corporate loyalty” has reached. I’m sure everyone who reads this has had multiply similar experiences. They say “children learn by imitating their parents”. I’ve witnessed that people are imitating the corporate behavior that is getting worse and worse as time goes on. my experience today was not the case 40, 30, 20, 0r 10 years ago & I want everyone to realize that it will probably continue to get worse. I hope you will take the time to share your similar experiences below. Nothing wrong with getting it out in the open. The reason the writers wrote “liberty & justice for all” is because “ALL” humans hate being treated unjustly. I think its more difficult to accept fascism than to fight it.
