    This company is a ripoff! With their leasing options The cellphone ended costing double the price!!!! Who wants to pay over $2000 for a phone! And the worst of all is that the ***** *** Rep did not explain any details about Smart Pay and no one wanted to help me, not Smart Pay, Not ***** ***!!!! Stay away from those 2 companies if possible

    Dont use unless you want to end up paying TWICE the amount as the original purchace. They dont even disclose this, or make it very confusing to find purposefully to take advantage of you. I made a phone purchace through metro and they only informed me of the total amount from the store, not from the end of the lease. The initial bill was almost 300 and im ending up paying around 560?? Only making that mistake once. They dont even say WHY it jumped to that amount even after reaching out to customer service. Predatory behaviour. Steer clear

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Whatever happened to being able to just get on a 2year ***** or ******* prepaid plan & add a midrange phone to it each month?? I had one at one point, but they make phones obsolete for a reason!! Buy **** or ****** refurbished & get what you want for VASTLY LESS!! SmartPay I applied at *****, then was told they didn't even have any phones I could use, so I had to wait a month to reapply online! Upon trying to reapply, both on SmartPay & on Straight Talk websites, I was trying to get a $250 ******* phone & a $45/mo ST plan, which I was told I was approved for $900! But upon giving them EVERY PIECE OF INFO ABOUT ME & MY DEBIT CARD, they charged me $80, then when the texts they sent to my CALL/TEXT ONLY FREE GOVT PHONE with a link they told me to click before my order could be SHIPPED, I clicked on it but got nowhere as it has no internet & they were demanding I grant CAMERA ACCESS to my useless brick of a govt phone I've been stuck with for a year!! Because I couldn't grant camera access or read the terms to allow my order thru, it was cancelled! I spent ALL DAY online (on my old laptop) & on the phone 3x, just to be told to reapply (I did 3x) & then told SORRY, YOU'RE *** if you can't grant permissions & agree to the texted link!! *** DO PPL WITHOUT A WORKING SMARTPHONE DO??? Being stuck on disability with no credit means I am one of the bottom 25% of Americans just being forced out of existence with the rest of the world! Now I will never be able to get a working online smartphone so I can have televisits with my 4 specialist Dr.s for my dozen chronic & terminal illnesses. Thanks SmartPay!!

    Refused to stop payments from bank account until account holder called in although lender stopped payments and totaled vehicle had been paid off with zero balance. Mind you, no one was even aware this company was third party involved until we saw payments still occurring. Horrible customer service.

    Just here to save others from the misery that me and so many others have experienced with this **** hole of a company. This an awful company. I really hate that I had to go through them to get a phone, but I had no choice. First off, they start trying to charge your account for their payments days before the due date, with no regard to you being ready to pay them or not. If you are even a day late on your payment, they turn off all phone services, whether you have an active Straighttalk service or not. For example, my phone is currently off now as of 4/14, but my Straighttalk refill doesn't end until May 1st. I am unable to use data, make/receive calls, and make/receive texts. I did pay them the money one day late, but I'm still unable to use my phone. They turn your service back on when they get ready. I think this is very nasty work. They open on Wednesdays, so I'm guessing that is when my phone will be back on. They are very hard to contact in a time of need. The people that you call, if you do make contact with them have thick accents, so good luck with trying to understand what they are saying to you. No offense to those who speak different languages. I'm just stating that there will be a language barrier. This happened to me last year and I did send a very stern email to the company. I did receive a response and my services were restored, but that's only after I had been waiting three days for it return. Not having a phone as a traveling woman can be very scary and inconvenient. I'm glad that I only have 5 payments left to pay this terrible place. I hope that it gets shut down one day. They don't deserve to be up and running at all. The customer service and service overall is TRASH. I would never recommend this company to anyone, even if it was the last company on earth. Do not use this company! I wish I could leave zero stars as a review.

    Metro store ***** ******* and Smart Pay added 800 dollars worth of accessories three days after I paid for my phone. I did not buy items like 2 screen savers at $80 each . They added after. Then they started taking 80 from my checking account. I paid 160 for my advertised 99 dollar phone . They added these outrageous charges after. Three days . Without my knowledge. Be careful they are getting away with this scam.

    If I could put negative stars for this company I would give Smartpaylease -10 stars! They do business in bad faith and are impossible to reach by phone. We were duped into their great offer for black Friday and as soon as we made the purchase we canceled the purchase. However, this company has continued to charge our credit card for a purchase/lease that we never received and that was canceled immediately after making. This is going into 6 months of trying to remove charges and stop future charges. It has taken hours trying to contact someone from Smartpaylease and close this fraudulent account. DO NOT do business with Smartpaylease

    They repeatedly contact me about a contract that does not belong to me. I have tried to communicate with them about this. They assured me they would stop numerous times now. However, the communications continue. Their support gives generic ChatGPT responses that have nothing to do with my request.

    Couldn't get help from anyone. Site Couldn't help, so I emailed. Email said to call. Call Couldn't help. I just wanted to pay them the rest of the balance early, but they are giving me the runaround.

    Awful place, you will never be able to get in contact with anyone to resolve any issues. I would definitely give zero stars if I could.
