      I opened a lease with Tempoe in approximately August of 2020. The lease was for $2250 of which $219.21 was drafted bi-weekly from my checking account. After 6months I called to get the balance which should have been satisfied and was told I had a few more payments. I called in-between that time some more and was told on 7/16:21 that the company was offering a discount to consider my lease paid at 100% but would not say why. It couldn’t be a discount with all the money I paid.

      Personal things in my life happened and I couldn’t follow up. On 9/4/2023 I emailed Tempoe to ask my original lease amount and payments. The agent confirmed my lease was for $2250 and that I made 25 payments at $219.21. By calculation that means I paid $5,480.25 which is $3,230.25 above my lease amount. I would like to be refunded for this over charge dusguised as a discounted pay off. I over paid this lease and I am due a refund.

      I would like it sent ACH not via mail. Please look into this and make this right. This is very unjust and unethical to fo yo someone.

      I no longer have the contract. This is from 2018. I tried logging into their site but it is deactivated. I asked them for a copy before filing the complaint which is my right as the consumer and they replied it was provided at the time of the sale. By law if a consumer requests a copy of their contract regardless if previously provided the business is to abide by the request. They dont want to provide it because it will incriminate them.

We completed an investigation into the matter and advise *** **** should refer to Section 3 Your Options At The End of Initial Term. This section explains after *** ****'s initial lease term she had three options. The first option was to do nothing, which would result in payments continuing until *** **** called and requested differently. The second option was to purchase the property, and the third option was to return the property. When the initial term ended on 12/11/2020 *** **** did nothing, which continued the lease. On 12/15/2020 *** **** did contact Customer Support and the Buyout option was explained, with a remaining balance of $1339.59 being provided. *** **** informed the agent she would be calling back in mid-January. On 2/04/2021 called into Customer Support, but at that time she requested to move her payment from 2/05/2021 to 2/12/2021. The payment was moved as a courtesy to *** ****. On 3/06/2023 *** **** called and provided a new address. During that call *** **** was provided with the remaining balance of $1485.74. On 4/05/2021 *** **** called and the remaining balance of $1461.38 was provided. On 7/09/2021 the last payment was made, and on 7/18/2021 the lease was closed as Buyout. 

      As previously stated no refund is due and we believe this matter is resolved.

      Firstly, these are complete lies as I never changed an address being that I reside at the same address in which the furniture was delivered. My payments were auto drafted bi weekly and paid timely. After 8 payments as indicated on the contract of 221 biweekly  thats 2800 which is well over 2250! You billed me for 25 payments at 5400 how is that legal?! I am due a refund of overpayment and Im unsure of what kind of math you’re doing . At this point I will get the Attorney general and lawyers involved as I am trying to get this amicably resolved. But making up lies saying a buyout was explained in 2021 is a lie. I questioned over payment and was immediately told my account was being offered a 100% pay off after review . Which means you ALL KNEW you had over charged me! Refund me my money!

Please do the right thing and send the difference in what you overcharged me per the contract. Whether I called prior to now does not negate the fact that you owe me a refund.

      I purchased a TV from Sears with a leasing agent WhyNot Leasing, LLC on December 16, 2016. In the event of buying a house, I was approached that I had a collection from the above leasing agent stating that I owe $720.78 or $712.48 which there's a discrepancy right there, I was told two different amounts. I have documents from my bank that I had paid approximately $1100. No one will return my calls, emails, or complaints. I trying to remove this from my credit with proof of documentations and no response.

      I recently found out Tempoe LLC made a note this month for ab amount owed for a “rental”.
      The amount owed to ******* the original business the bought the debt from was not for a rental or anyway or form. They purposely made that trade line note to affect me renting anything. I need that removed or at least to give me a way of paying the amount owed which was 500 not 1800. I need a working phone number or if Tempoe have no way of getting contacted I need that removed.
      The website does not work and phone numbers are deceiving and don’t offer an explanation or a way of inquiring about the debt.

      There are two new events on my credit that I keep disputing. I stated if they can show me what it is I supposedly owe money for maybe we can discuss. I don’t know what Tempoe is. I *******, however there are thousands of companies with that name or close to it.

      I purchased an ** fridge through Tempoe LLC via *****. This was over 7 years ago! I got a letter from them stating that my fridge was paid off and I owe nothing more.I never had any other lease agreements with them! I notice now on my credit report there is a 500 dollar collection account through ***** *** *******! I do not owe this debt and they refuse to take it off! I am.not sure why the turned it over to this sleazeball collection agency but it is not owing at all!. I will be going to the Attorney General and seeking legal advice if this is not resolved!

      her lease was sold to a third-party debt buyer in 2019; however, our records show the debt was bought
      back and the lease in her name was closed as satisfied. We contacted the third-party agency and asked
      that they remove the information from her credit report and they confirmed the information was
      deleted on 8/17/2023. Please note, while the agency has deleted the information, it may take 30-45
      days for the credit bureaus to reflect the changes.

      I have tried every which way to get in contact with this company in the last few months. I sent a letter a few months back asking to settle my account in the amount of $250 to close it and no replies. Their website no longer works, it tells me “error. This website is unsafe” and won’t let me proceed. The app doesn’t exist on the App Store anymore and their phone lines are never ending loop of hood music. I’m not even sure if they are in business anymore. I am on medical leave due to an injury and can’t afford much, but I can afford a small amount to close the account but I can’t get ahold of anyone. This company feels predatory and should be investigated. Attached is the error I get when I try to get onto their website.

      Being active duty military I was told I could request immediate stay of the garnishment (for commercial debts, this is known as an “involuntary allotment”) until the court can make a determination of whether to throw out the default judgment. A military legal assistance attorney has been the one helping me on this matter as no one has answered my calls or emails. This is my last attempt as stated we made an agreement to pay the default and my wife was threatened over garnishment and with her not working due to a recent health diagnoses she freaked and agreed to the terms for me. Which is fine but as stated she requested something in writing from Tempoe stating you would garnish if we didn’t make arrangements and the agreement. Only thing was a letter that ****** *** Management Services which was never mentioned to her. Also yes others there over heard the conversation she had with you so we have them as witnesses plus we recorded the conversation. Also the date to pay was to start June 1 2023 and letter emailed states April 1 2023 leaving me to look defaulted. No one answers and I don’t like being too it’s Tempoe then find it’s a different company never mentioned. I attempted to resolve this several times while under contract with ***** and no one would call back or answer me. Since then I’ve been overseas and moved back just to be dealing with this again and once again NO ONE IS COMMUNICATING WITH ME OR ANSWERING EMAILS OR CALLS

      I did lease to own tires I purchased I believe well over a year ago. Tempo repeated took money from my account more than once in a month and different amounts. Believing now that my account was paid off and haven't heard anything from them or seen any other withdraws for months. I all of a sadden get a withdraw on 5/25 for $20 and another for $91 on 5/26. I tried to contact them but their website doesn't work and the phone numbers give you no one. I believe they are out of business but still taking money from my account. I put a stop payment on my account and disputing the charges with my bank. I believe without my knowledge I have overpaid this company and they are aware of it. I want the refund of all monies that were overpaid by them auto withdrawing multiple amounts. They are very misleading.

      We want to thank *** ****** ******  for contacting Tempoe regarding his previous lease. We completed an investigation into the matter and advise the return had not been submitted. The return has now been processed and the check request was submitted on 6/19/2023. The will be mailed via USPS so we ask that you allow 7-10 business days for it to be delivered.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

      6/22/23 I still have not received a check from them.  


      Part of me feels they are delaying and making excuses, just so in the end they don't keep their promise of the refund.  I think if it were my business I'd mail it priority mail and put a tracking number on it, so that way I can provide a tracking number for the customer to track the status of it and where it is.  Then there would be no doubts.

      This company just appeared on my credit report today saying I owe them $1,819.
      I’ve never done business with this company. I’ve actually never even heard of this company before. I’d like this removed from my credit report immediately.

We completed an investigation into the matter and advise the Company has investigated this complaint and offers the following explanation: we have completed a preliminary investigation and advise that the matter has been referred to our Fraud team for further review. If the Fraud team determines that there was potential ID theft, a case will be opened, and the fraud analyst assigned to the case will reach out to Ms. *** to discuss the details of the investigation. If the case is confirmed to be fraud, Tempoe will work with Ms. *** to remove any information on her credit file associated with the matter.
