The company continues to take payments from my account that I don't owe. We gave paid close to $1,600 for a $500 washer. We purchased it from ***** and we specifically asked about the payoff and the leading . She told us once the five additional payments were made it would be ours abd that it was not leased but rent to own. That was specifically talked about. I went to our local ***** and they advised that they were sorry but could not help me since they are no longer using the tempoe service because of so many problems they had with the company and gave me their phone number but as of today I've gotten no response from this company m. I've tried to call and I've left emails. They keep itaking money every month but can't respond to any of our messages. The cost of this washer is $500 and we have paid over $1,400 so far abd when I pull it up online it shows payments all through next year?? I was never told anything about leasing, she even circled on my paper when the last payment would be. It's got me in a mess. I would have never got the washer had I known that it would cost this ridiculous amount of money. Please help with straightening out this mess. This washer should have already been paid for months back.Business Response

On 7/8/2021 I leased a stove for 1,000 with early buy off options with to my understanding that once the initial lease was up I would pay 473.00 dollars and then I would own the stove and the initial lease term was up 11/17/21 since then they've taken almost another 2,000 dollars thus paying almost 3,000 dollars for this 1,000 dollar product when I called them that unless I tell them to cancel the lease and pay them 473 dollars I don't own the product I'm questioning the legality of the lease and how they managed to take nearly two thousand dollars in the 9 or 10 months since the initial lease was up when I set it up so they were taking the payment on my payday but they were going in on a different day when the money wasn't there and then charging late fees the account number is *******Business Response

I'm not disputing the contract at this point what I don't agree with is when I originally set the lease up I had it so that they were taking there payment on my payday so nothing should have ever been returned or charged late fees I paid almost 3000 dollars for something that only cost a 1000 so yeah I think they owe meBusiness Response

We want to thank *** ****** ******** for contacting Tempoe/ WNLI regarding his lease. We understand that there is some confusion with the terms and conditions of his lease. We completed an investigation into the matter and advise TEMPOE,
LLC (“TEMPOE”) is constantly striving to improve upon the customer experience
and this includes explaining the program in more detail. Briefly, our program
requires lessees to lease their items for a 5 month initial lease term. Upon
completion of the initial lease term our customers have 3 options. Such
options include: (1) Purchasing the property by exercising the purchase
option; (2) continuing the lease on a periodic basis by retaining possession
of the property, in which case additional periodic payment(s) must be made in
the same frequency and amount as during their initial term; (3) terminating
the lease by returning the property to us in good condition, fair wear and
tear excepted. If the lessee does not contact TEMPOE to set up the purchase
or return of their leased items, their lease will continue on the same
schedule until they make arrangements to purchase the item or return the
item. This means that if a customer doesn’t exercise their purchase or return
options after the completion of their initial term, their lease will continue
for another payment period. After the end of that period, customer will have
the 3 options again. This process continues until a customer purchases their
leased items, returns their leased items, or reaches their maximum lease
term.
Your lease with TEMPOE, LLC was opened on July 8, 2021. Emails were sent regarding the Early Purchase Option and options available once reaching the minimum term. In accordance with the terms of your lease agreement, your
periodic payments continued.
After receiving your initial contact through the BBB the lease was closed as a courtesy. Our Customer Service Team has made multiple attempts to contact you to discuss any possible refund but have been unable to make contact. Please give us a call at ###-###-#### and one of our friendly agents will be happy to assist.

We had a lease with Tempoe, LLC for a washer and dryer from Sears back in February 2018. We made our payments, but they kept trying to take more out of our account. We ended up having to block this with our bank. After several conversations with their service reps, they agreed that our account was paid and could be closed. Now, four years later, we are getting emails from Advanced Capital Solutions saying that we still owe over $1000! We thought this was all taken care of....Initial Complaint

I went to ********* ** **** to buy a ********** (dog) and they offered me credit via Tempoe Financial LLC SO I applied and was accepted. Few months later I became desabled and had to stop working which caused me to fall behind on my payments for this account and others I had through different creditors. I applied for disability insurance and was approved. As soon as I started receiving my benefits, I settled all my debts including this one with Tempoe Financial LLC. I received letters from the creditors and collection agencies confirming the accounts were paid in full but I don't recollect receiving one from Tempoe. I didn't think anything of it because I figured they'd have proof of payment in their system. I also figured I'd have proof on my bank statement. Well, I switched banks and now there is no way to prove it. About a year later, I started receiving letters from a collection Agency stating I owed Tempoe Financial LLC money so I called the number on the letters and explained the account had already been paid for in a settlement. I didn't hear back from them but didn't worry because I noticed the collection had been removed from my credit report so I thought they had updated their system. Suddenly, a year or two later, I start receiving letters again demanding payment and the collection was added back to my credit which is affecting me. I called the collection agency ****** ********* ***** and explained, once again, that the debt had been paid for in a settlement but the representative would not listen and kept telling me that I had to pay. This has been very stressful for me and the whole thing is unfair. I paid already and there is no way I'll pay again just to get them off my back. This is completely insane and harassing someone disabled who's only living on SSDI benefits makes it even worse. Please let people know that Tempoe Financial LLC is not reputable or trust worthy.
