      Warning: Overpriced, Poor Technicians, and Dishonest with Insurance Claims
      I recently had an unfortunate experience with Roto-Rooter, and I must say I am deeply disappointed. The services provided by this company were subpar in multiple aspects.
      Firstly, their pricing was exorbitant. I found their fees to be unreasonably high compared to other similar service providers in the market. I felt like I was being taken advantage of and overcharged for the work performed.
      Secondly, the quality of their technicians was lacking. The day after the repair for the blockage, it is still blocked.
      Lastly, I was appalled by their attempt to deceive the insurance company. They tried to take advantage of my lack of knowledge and communicate false information to the insurance company in an effort to inflate the claim amount. This dishonest behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
      Overall, my experience with Roto-Rooter was disappointing and frustrating. I would caution others to be wary of their high charges, poor technical skills, and unethical practices with insurance claims. I would not recommend their services to anyone seeking reliable and honest service.

      I property manage a daycare in Athens Al. I called Roto Rooter for a problem of the toilet not flushing. The temporarily fixed it for $688.00. The same issue happened within months, again the did the same for another $688.00. I called a local plumber he dug up the line which had roots fixed the problem for $1200. I would not use this company again and I want to warn others from being taken advantage of. *** *

      The address of the daycare is ************************************. Roto Rooter came to the business 2 times to do a quick fix which they knew would not last. *****'s Septic came out and fixed the problem, hand dug the field line for $1200. We are all just happy that it is fixed and the children are not at risk. I want to prevent this from happening to anyone else. I have all copies of receipts and documentation of every phone call. ***********************

      If I could rate a zero I would. I had sprinkler pipes to burst in my home back in December. Someone from RR came out to "save the day." My neighbor and I had the same category of damage; however, we did not receive the same level of service. After communicating with management, a representative named Jesse came out and shared that he was proud of the job that was done. It looked like someone had just gone through and knocked out random walls in my house. My neighbor's home was pristine. Another person from management came and did have his team come to clean up the poor job; however, it still is not the same level of service. Because this incident was not my fault, my HOA's insurance company is responsible for covering the damage. They've also shared that the payment would be made so that I can send it to RR. RR has harassed me about a 60k payment. I've remained in constant communication with the team - interrupting my workday for 4 months now. If you don't know how to work with insurance companies, then maybe you shouldn't be in this business. Stick to basic plumbing. Today, my insurance company told me they'd take care of it so that RR could stop harassing me as they apparently do often. Yes, that's how adjusters feel about your company. I asked Roto Rooter to call my adjuster. RR did, but did not get an answer immediately; however, then further threatened litigation Monday. I replied again, only to receive OOO replies saying no one will even be available tomorrow. As a 'professional' company, you should have at minimum provided other contact info in your absence. The whole ordeal with RR has been terrible. You prey on people in times of disaster because you're money hungry and lack empathy and professionalism. Not one other company during this ordeal has been as terrible as this company. I will never recommend them for any service.

      I called Roto Rooter upon finding water in my basement. The plumbing crew overcharged me to pull the toilet and clear a soft blockage. They suggested descaling for my cast iron sewer line. I agreed and when they came back to preform the descaling, part of their equipment broke off and was stuck in the sewer pipe. They left without telling me that this happened. When I found out from a different plumber ( one that was contracted with ********* insurance) I contacted Roto Rooter and their response was only to have me pay for their error. Offering to remove the broken piece if I agreed to pay a $2,423 deposit before they came back. I refused and they tried again, this time asking for a $4K deposit. I filed a complaint with Roto Rooter corporate. The GM at the Pelham office was never apologetic and did not acknowledge the error or that fact that Roto Rooter did not tell me about the broken piece. After some back and forth, I decided not to continue to do any business with this company. I would not recommend them to anyone.

      I called after hours for a running toilet. On call service was professional and courteous but despite prompt service call, extremely overpriced for the service rendered. The technician was disheveled and had poor language skills. Given the fact that the three other plumbing companies I called could not come until the morning, I paid the exorbitant amount (nearly $400 after a $75 coupon discount). Parts which would cost $15 at the hardware store cost $37. The technician did not inspire confidence or represent the company particularly well. I recommend choosing another plumbing company.
