      They do not stand behind their work. Our kitchen sink was clogged and they came and “unclogged” it on Monday. Originally they quoted us $650 to unclog the kitchen sink which we talked him down to $200 to fix the problem with a 6 month warranty. On Thursday afternoon we found water coming out of a floor drain in the basement that is just farther down our pipes from the kitchen. Who knows how long it had been backing up since it had spread from the storage room to the finished part of our basement by this point into our carpeting. The clog just got pushed further down the drain but when we called them back out brett told us it was a different issue and would not stand behind the work. The technician that originally came out was now on vacation and they couldn’t send anyone else out to cover the problem. Brett said this was a new issue and would be another charge. We asked to talk to a manager and he just told us to call the number on the invoice. He said he was going to go out to his truck to make more calls but just left. Do not use roto rooter or trust their word or warranty. We called the manager off the number on the invoice multiple times and left messages but never heard back.

      Called for sewer backup into my main basement drain. After looking for 5 minutes for the vent/clean out in the yard, they decided to remove the basement toilet and snake through there. Another employee allegedly sent a camera in and "camera got stuck on a break in the pipe". I was quoted $15,000 to replace the pipe section outside and reline the pipe under the basement because it was in terrible shape. Got another company in for another opinion and this time I actually saw the camera screen. No break at all and pipes look great. On top of that, they wanted $4500 for water cleanup of a small area. Which we did with a shopvac in minutes. We cancelled the cleanup for them to show up anyway and curse me out for cancelling the job.

      I called Roto Rooter for a price to fix my tub fault & they said $1800. I fixed it for less than $50. I don't remend Roto Rooter at all. All they want is money. They will never step foot on my property again.

      Bad experience. Couldn’t get an answer on the address of local rotor rooter that services Lake Mary, Florida. I tried the 800 number who directed me to the local number that no one would answer so I couldn’t file a complaint with the BBB without the local address. It seems deliberate. The invoice only has Orlando printed on it. It also had a Chicago address and a Cincinnati address. I won’t use this company again and will advise others to avoid it. Also I paid an outrageous amount of money on other work because I didn’t have time to shop around.

      Had a technician came by, our sump pump wasn’t draining well. A whole system was installed by Rooto Rooter 6 months ago. Was notified by the technician that if he found wipes, tampons or anything that can clogged the system, a whole system needs to be replaced & it will cost us $1850 - that’s how much we paid 6 months ago. The technician found few wipes in the system, wipes were removed & i asked, can he clean the system first & see, if it’ll work, technician said, long story short - it is working, technician said he will charge us for labor. He cleaned the system for almost an hour. Technician was charging us $1K for labor, he insisted that it is a flat rate & we signed the form. We signed the form that it’ll cost us $1850 for the whole system but it was not specified that the labor is a flat rate for $1K, We refused to pay, we called the manager, while waiting for the manager to come up with something, the technician was insisting that we have to pay the whole amount, manager called, we were charged $450 for labor & $11 for parts. This company takes advantage of the client, $1K for labor? It is worth it to call the manager instead of complying with the technician, who knows if they get commissions on this. This is our LAST BUSINESS with them, beware !!

      Made appt to come get well pump and pressure tank looked at. Showed up and said it wasn’t his job to climb under our house to get to pressure pump. Finally agreed but only one way in to where he needed to go where there’s sand and it was never disturbed. Needless to say he never even climbed under and checked our pressure pump and switch. Told us it would cost 5k for new well pump. Said would be back the next day at 10am. After 6 no call/no shows ****** showed up immediately and replaced the well pump but knew something wasn’t right. He climbed under the house to pump with no issue and it was only a $20 pressure switch that needed replaced. ****** made things right and their customer service and concern were amazing!! Way to go ******! Will never recommend Roto Rooter!!

      Had a leak in kitchen sink and drain blocked. Called roto-rooter and they came out. Said drain needed a air pipe. ( it is old and worked for a long time) why now? Said he fixed the leak and charged me $275.00. Three weeks later and it still leaks and won't drain as good as before. Called them and they said it had been a month and why had we not called before. Well I don't get under my sink every day and thought it had been repaired. She told us it had been too long and they would have to charge us again if they came out. Guess you know we are looking for a good plumber.Roter- Rooter should be run out of business with this attitude. Do not I repeat Don't use them they will rip youtoo.

      I scheduled on their website Sunday evening to come out the next morning between 8-12 to clear a clogged drain pipe. I called at 11 and was told "we're behind". they then scheduled for 6PM earliest. If I hadn't called, they wouldn't have showed up at all. I got a call at 3PM saying they would be there in 30 minutes. I called at 4PM and was told I was bumped for another emergency call and they wouldn't be there till at least 6:30. Again, if I hadn't called, I would never been informed just left waiting. They showed up after 5PM, ran the snake and cleared the clog (sort of). I asked for estimates to replace the pipe from the house to the septic since it appeared the pipe sunk and also asked for a quote to replace my water heater with a tankless model. I never received the quotes. In addition, I paid $262 a year prior for an emergency Sunday night call. They charged $354 for a normal business hour non weekend call.
      I called another plumber. They came out and I had quotes before they left. They also pulled the tops off the septic tanks and noticed the solid tank was backed up and not draining to the second tank. They turned the filter and the solid tank immediately started to drain to the secondary. In addition, they then pulled the filter and cleaned it out. Once the solid tank drained to the proper level, most of the sitting water in the pipe from the house drained as well. They rescoped the line and found it wasn't a full sink issue but a small portion of the pipe "bellied". I was not charged anything for the techs to provide quotes and do the other work which actually cleared the troubled line as much as possible and will help prevent future clogs. Roto-rooter never bothered looking at anything beyond the clogged area or questioned the standing water. They just presumed it was because the whole pipe sunk
      Roto-Rooter called about the firm review and long story short I told him I still want the quotes. They are higher than two others added unnecessary work.

      Never use this company. I called them to clear my sewer line. The cost was ridiculous but we were desperate to resolve the issue. The technician told us his supervisor would be coming by to thread a camera to see if the lines were clear.
      This other person informed us that it needed cleaning and that would cost $5,500. WHAT???
      Called another company and the cost is $1280.
