I had tie rod work performed on March 2024. In April 2025, the tie rod malfunctioned. The cotter pin was not placed so the bolt fell off, which caused the tires to invert. Fortunately, there was not a car accident. I contacted customer service. The complaint was escalated to legal. Legal requested that the shop inspect it. The inspection occurred on May 1, 2025. The worker recommended the entirety of the work be redone. I requested that I be reimbursed the cost of the work, my tows, and the work be reperformed. Tire Discounters declined. Then Tire Discounters accused me of receiving an inappropriate discount and said that only some work needed to be redone. I declined because the recommendation changed and I am having a difficult time trusting them. I have towed my vehicle from Tire Discounters.Business Response

This company is deceptive. I went to the ******* ******* location my brakes were bad I called them to see how much it will cost to replace my brakes I already had my own brakes that I had bought from ******** they told me $275 which was a bit high but my brakes were almost gone. This was to replace front and rear brakes. By the time I got out of there I had spent $400 and was told they had to bleed the brake system which I found out later is a lie. I asked the person who said he was the manager in charge about the rotors because I had a set of rotors at home for the front and the back that I could have gotten a ride to go get if they were needed he told me don't worry about the rotors just hold on to them they're fine well long story short it was all about the money with them because actually they put my new brakes on top of rotors that were bad and rusted a little bit so now my new brakes that I've only had for a couple of months are ruined. To make it even worse about a month after they put my brakes on all of my brake fluid leaked out of my reservoir in my garage I called them and told them that happened and they said oh bring it in we'll check it out we'll see if we can find out where the leak is I took it up there to them I had refilled my brake reservoir and it held up and they told me it was a master cylinder and so I waited 5 hours for them to get the part in found out later on that they were so busy messing around up there that they didn't order the part until 2 hours after I got there I found that out I called a friend of mine who works at advance auto stating they didn't get the part request until after 11:00 a.m. I had been there since 8:45 a.m the part never came . I was asking where the part was after 5 hours they got mad told me here take my car they will call me when it comes rude they sent us out with a bad ABS module we could have lost our brakes they didnt care said master cylinder just to make money. Now I have to get new brakes 2 months laterBusiness Response

I spoke with Mr Rusty who is the regional manager and explained everything that happened and he agreed to refund the $400 that I spent to have the ******* location put on new brakes that were put on over rotors that were bad unfortunately and what they charged me for bleeding my brakes that should not have happened. He called me a few days ago and I'm just waiting on my refund to hit my bank account but I am very satisfied with this response and with tire discounters regional manager handling of the situation. I'm just waiting to be refunded

Tire Discounters' corporate headquarters
200 West Fourth St
Cincinnati, OH 45202
Dear Sir or Madam
I am writing to submit a complaint against your Tire Discounters ******** store. The address is **** ** ***** ****** ******* ** *****.
I went to the establishment on 4/1/2025 and purchased new tires for my **** ***** ********* **** pickup for $920.16.
At the time, I was told I needed outer tie rod end repair. I received an estimate for the repair for $281.38.
I took my truck in for the repair on the morning of 4/17/2025. I picked my truck up in the afternoon on the same day and was charged and additional $58.91. I asked why was there an increase from my estimate and I was told it was for shop material with no further explanation.
I believe the shop material charge was included on the estimate and $58.91 is a large increase for only 15 days. I should not have had to pay an additional $58.91.
Sincerely,
****** *****

I purchased a set of tires on 10/05/24. Salesperson was Anthony C*****. I explained that I had after market wheel. He told me that wasn't a problem. Upon installing the wheels, his mechanics was having issues programming the tire pressure monitoring system. After several attempts they got them programmed.
This past winter I store these wheels and tires dues to winter weather. Just last week I put these wheels back on my vehicle. I started noticing a tire pressure warning light on my dash that wouldn't go away. So I took my car back to the same location I bought my tires and extended warranty. A new manager told me they couldn't work on these tires because of my wheels being split wheels. And that it was against store policy to work on them.
I spent$1,436.00 for tires and road hazard total. $258.48 for road hazard warranty that is basically useless.Total out the door was $1,871.89. I've tried contacting headquarters about my issue. No one has reached out to me.Business Response

I haven't gotten any calls or texts to my direct phone line, or the spam filter provided by my phone provider. I checked the number provided to me on the last response it is not in any call history. If he wanted to contact me, why didn't he send a text requesting me to call him? I've left a voicemail for him on the number provided by the business letting him know I think we are just missing each other. I'm not doubting he is calling, I'm just not receiving them. Can Scott please try calling me again? If he doesn't get me, would he mind sending me a text so that I can call him back immediately?Business Response

On February 22,2025 I took my **** **** ******** in to the location in ********* **. I was to have 2 O2 sensors replaced, and scheduled 100K maintenance. When I picked up my vehicle the engine light was still on and the "cleared it". After I got home I open my hood to see my engine shroud was cracked, a bolt was missing from the engine. Then the engine light came back on. I called and went back and then they "cleared" the code again. After the 3rd time the engine light came back on they sent me to another location to have them look at it. At that time they noticed that when they replaced the sensors the broke the wiring harness and zip tied the sensor in. That location did replace that sensor but due to that sensor not being correctly installed it then caused the back new sensor to go bad. I had to go back and forth 10 times over 30 days to get the work completed correctly. I have called Tire Discounters multiple time only to be told someone - now the CEO will contact me. It has now been almost a month after the final repairs without a call from corporate. The regional Manager Steve S*** was very rude, disregarded my concerns and when he said I would get a refund he failed to inform me it would be a release of claim - before my vehicle was even repaired. Because I have had to follow up on this situation for over 2 months I am requesting a full refund.Business Response

First and foremost, we want to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. We truly appreciate your patience while we worked to make things right.
In an effort to fully resolve the matter, we replaced all four O2 sensors and the engine cover at no cost, and we offered a complimentary oil change and alignment at your next visit. The repairs were completed on 3/19/25, and since we have not received any reports of lingering issues, we are confident that the problem has been successfully resolved.
As part of our commitment to making things right, we’re happy to refund you for the two O2 sensors and the diagnostic fee you originally paid. Before those funds can be issued, we do require that a release of claims form be signed.
Again, thank you for your understanding and patience.Initial Complaint

I took my car to Tire discounters on ******* *** to get brakes and to have my radiator changed. Was told they also fixed a recall on my car. I was lied to, had a brake upgrade and I brought my own brakes in. When they replaced my radiator, they did not burp all the air out. They caused an air pocket to go through my motor and caused the motor to no longer be functional. I hadn't had my car 90 days. Spoke with Chris T***** and Dm with tire discounters. He originally took blame for this problem, he even put me in a rental. Now he does not want to take the responsibility. I just want my money back that I have in my car. 1700.00 that I put down, the 1000 I spent trying to fix it, now I also need my money back on **** rides. They have made this a very very stressful situation and all I was trying to do was fix a problem. I need help getting my money back for a car they blew the motor in. The car lot I bought it from is willing to write it off since this was not my fault, but at the same time I put all my money in buying my car and worked really hard for the money I put down. Now I'm stuck without a car and spending money on ****. Please help.Business Response

I brought my car to Tire Discounters in ******* ** on December 27, 2024. I purchased 4 new ***** tires. In March of 2025 I started to hear a front end noise and got a flat tire and took my tire to be fixed at Tire Discounters. At Tire Discounters they told me I would either have to buy a new tire or pay for road hazard insurance. So I chose the road hazard as it was advertised as a better deal. After the replacement I still heard the front end noise so I took it to ********* automotive and they told me I had several front end issues, a broken axle and seal, and a leak in my new transmission. Also, the tires were too large for my car. I then contacted tire discounters and told them about my tires. They openly admitted to putting the wrong tires on my car. They had the opportunity to tell me twice and instead sold me road hazard insurance. The pictures I have show the ***** tires literally touching my fender. There was no way the service technicians could have missed it when putting them on both times. After arguing with the service manager and getting no where I spoke with the general manager and they accepted full blame and replaced my tires with cheaper tires and refunded me the difference. I appreciate that help, but now I am left with a ton of front end damage, all bad wheel bearings, and transmission damage, because I’ve been driving on tires that are too large for my car for over 5,000 miles, due to their negligence. I cannot drive my car right now without causing more damage. I feel they should be held responsible.Business Response

My daughter had her tires replaced here on March 8th, on March 22nd after driving the car fewer than 10 times since the tire replacement, her tire came off as she traveled home. The lug nuts were not properly tightened and one stud was completely broken off. I had her car towed to our mechanic who explained what had happened, and when I called the shop, they wanted me to bring it to them so that they could repair it. It was already with a mechanic, so Curtis B**** the manager said they would reimburse me for the repair costs and for me to just drive her car up to Lawrenceville (from Athens) to have them look at it and to bring the receipts. Sure thing, I drive it up there, he apologizes to me and to my daughter and says he will get it taken care of, I just have to go get an estimate for the repairs to the body. Ok, sure thing I will do that. I take it to get an estimate, and one was for $4,300 and one for $3,500 so I bring them the lower estimate because I am not trying to bleed them dry, I just want to be made whole. Radio silence. I call Curtis B**** on Thursday, March 27 to be sure they received the estimate and what the next steps would be. Curtis informed me that Rusty would be in contact. I do not hear from them so I then reach out via email April 1 to follow up and request a call before close of business tomorrow and Rusty finally calls me. He then proceeds to lie and say that my mechanic said the car had no damage, that there was no way the wheel fell off the way it did . Unfortunately for Rusty, my mechanic is one of the few honest mechanics left in this world and told me EXACTLY what he told Rusty which was the opposite of what Rusty said. My honest mechanic said he would testify or write a statement attesting to the damage and the likely cause of the damage. Rusty reaches back out to me on April 3 after I’ve posted several negative reviews and asks me to bring the car back for them to inspect. I brought it back on April 5 and we still have no resolution.Business Response

I had tire pressure sensors installed on my daughters **** *******. I supplied the sensors and was charged for installation. (Over 120 dollars)After leaving, all tires leaked air quickly, had to make another appt in a few days. Second visit I was told tires were leaking due to being too old and needed replaced. I spent over $500 to replace them. All 4 tires leaked again. My daughter was told they couldn't get her in again for 4 days. She called another location of Tire discounter (****** ****) they got her in the same afternoon and told her the sensors were never tightened up in the first place. Now I believe we didn't need to replace all 4 tires and was sold new tires due to negligence on the ********** location. I filed a complaint with their regional manager but after 7 days from last issue, neither my daughter nor I have been contacted.Business Response

I had Tire Discounters in ********** ** do my front brakes less than six months ago due to the rotors being warped. Tire Discounters repaired the vehicle and it the brakes worked for a couple of months and then slowly went back to not being able to stop well when traveling highway speeds due to the rotors feeling warped again. I took it to Tire Discounters on 03/14/25, and they said i needed rotors, brakes, AND rotors. I waited six hours, and when it was done, they charged me $800 dollars and said it was for labor and rotors. Calipers do not cost $800.00 with labor. To make it worse, the brakes are doing the exact same thing as when i brought it back in. I feel like they took my $800.00Business Response
