Horrible scam artists. Very dishonest and terrible customer service, management and staff. They feel like they can just rob people out of money and no one will say anything.

Terrible lender. As a first-time home buyer, this guy's my preapproval directly to seller, for a new house, lured me to sign a contract I literarily knows nothing about. I waited 9 months, built the house, visited the construction site almost every other weekend. I reached out to them on countless occasions to give me my loan estimate and copy of the preapproval letter, but they never did. Only for them to show up 2 weeks to scheduled closing and said there is a county limit on my loan, and I should provide additional $101,000 to be able to close the house. I lost $16,400 to the builder, even as i am typing this after 3 months that the builder sold my house to another buyer CrossCountry mortgage never issued me denial letter to say I do not qualify for the loan.
I do not advise anyone to deal with CrossCountry Mortgage.

I wish I could give them no stars . As a first time home buyer I was lost but I had a awesome realtor that made this nightmare of a mortgage company better. What they did should be illegal are at least they should half to come up with all the money and time I waisted. I started the fha loan process on August 21st 2021 and found a house I liked under my pre approval amount I was approved for 325,000 and the house was 284,000. Went under contract had 15 days to be able to get my earnest money back if I couldn't financially get approve. Paid for a inspector $500 then appraisal $650.00 Earnest money was $2000. So I am in 3150. Get a Contingency Approval September 3rd 2023 3 small things one was getting closing money which I withdrawal from 401 k and the other was just a tax document I got that to them. We were to originally suppose to close on the 6th of September they needed more time pushed it to the 15th then the appraisal had to back out so pushed it to 22nd then came back said one more item was needed I got that gave that to them and we pushed the closing to the 29th. On the 25th of September they have had over 30 days to look at my file they come back and say my income isn't enough no I know its my 1st time buying a home but my income should have been flagged in the first week I was under contract not a whole month later and now I loose 3150 because of this. I would never recommend this company to anyone they should half to pay for what I lost because it was there fault. When I went under contract they should have flagged my income within 24 hrs. not over 30 days . Not to mention they don't communicate with there team or there clients. This was a horrible and they shouldn't be in business.

Terrible experience with Chris from the Independence office. He was the broker for the buyer of my home. The house was supposed to close on the 15th but didn't close until a week later. My understanding is that he completely failed to do his job, waiting until the last minute to get the needed paperwork from the buyer. He really didn't seem to care if the deal went through or not. Do not use him for any deals.

Buying a home should be a personal and wonderful experience; however, our journey was anything but pleasant. It turned out to be the most challenging buying process we could have imagined.
Our experience wasn't only the lack of presence with our realtor, but our main issue was with the disrespectful broker who was expected to handle our loan and closing. The broker recommended by our realtor came as a package. The broker was from a company called "Cross Country Mortgage." (Lazaros *********) The broker actually verbally disrespected my wife and that was all for me. I won't share what was said, but it was disrespectful and threatening where we felt like we were being forced to process everything with ****** **** ****** and Cross Country mortgage or else. We were forced to again do our own leg work and reach out to another lender who assisted us and closed our beautiful home. I write this to share my experience as you can tell not fair. I really hope when you are searching for the right people to handle something as important as buying a home. You find the right people to have your back. They should feed you the right information and guide you through the process effortlessly.
Indeed, in a world filled with online platforms and opportunities to share experiences, one might expect companies to excel. However, the quality of content can vary widely due to factors like individual communication skills, motivation, and purpose. It's important for companies to continuously improve their professional communications and make the most of these online opportunities to better their service.
Good luck & Thanks for taking your time to read my experience.

This place should be shut down. Incompetent staff and unable to handle even the simplest of tasks. They are now harassing me with phone calls and refuse to remove my info from their system.

After closing on our refinance and receiving checks for payouts to creditors, we noticed one of the checks were made out to the wrong creditor. The checks were for more than the actual payoffs were. One check was was made to a creditor we had two accounts. One check for payoff was enough to pay off both accounts because of no interest financing. We submitted proof of payoff of both accounts. We requested the 2nd check to the creditor be made out to us since we showed proof that both accounts were paid in full. Cross Country refused to make the check out to us, and only will make it to the creditor which is useless to us. It’s been over 30 days and they refuse to refund the money they owe us, which we’re paying interest on. They owe us $3,400.00 and refuse to reissue a check to us.

Unbelievable the amount of problems I had with them...was assured by Chris that my loan was good a week and a half after the closing date he informed me we had to go another direction, different type of loan. No communication between parties-their employees, that should be working together...thr right hand had no idea what the left hand was doing, when called out on it, I was basically shamed and told they were doing everything possible to make this loan happen...the closing was a joke, it's been over a month and still do not have copies of the closing paperwork! The title company they set me up with assured they would send my loan to some other mortgage due to all the problems I had...just got my first mortgage statement, yep CROSS COUNTRY MORTGAGE...GUARANTEED I will be refinancing and and getting it away from them ASAP!!! NEVER AGAIN...If contemplating using them DO NOT DO IT!!! AWEFUL EXPERIENCE!!! First time buyer, and probably will never but again due to the experience I had with them!!!

Inexperienced brokers that shuffle you around and do not care about you. After 9 months of being lied to I finally smartened up and found a reputable company that was able to get me a loan in 2 months.

Harassment. Company will not stop calling despite being told, despite being cussed out, despite bad review left. Every department keeps calling.
Started a refi/heloc application with one of their lenders, Robert ********, and was unsatisfied with his fast talking, pushy attitude. Told him I didn’t like him, did not want to continue, and hung up on him. Now CrossCountry keeps calling. Different lenders, Customer Satisfaction, management, etc. I have told every one of them to stop calling and remove my name and they will not. I’ve blocked 3 phone numbers and they keep calling from new ones.
