If there was one house left in the world and I had a chance to buy it, and I was told “the house is yours. Your lending company is going to be Cross Country Mortgage” I would rather go outside and find me and my family a nice cardboard box and some blankets to live in!!
They really need to make 0 stars an option for this “business”. After being told I can do a loan deferment so I can rent the house out (I’m military and was moved on orders and my previous command was on on deployment) i called monthly just to be told that it was sent to the old address and not where I currently lived. I gave them my updated address 5 separate times while stilll waiting for the loan deferment paperwork. When paperwork was finally FORWARDED (not even sent directly because they still hadn’t updated my mailing address) it was pre-foreclosure paperwork! It gave us 30 days to respond from the date of the letter, however it was dated on a Friday, combined with weekends, and it being sent to the wrong house yet again, we got the letter nearly 20 days after it was originally dated. Finally called and told them we were selling the house. It was going on the market that week. Got an offer 2 days later and called them and told them. Title company requested pay off amount on July 6th. Was never told it was sent to the wrong department so on July 11, the day before we were supposed to close, we had to re-request the payoff amount. Was supposed to close the 19th, and got called 3 different times as to why I was requesting a payoff. So now we are sitting here on the 21st, our 3rd closing date and since they dragged theirs feet, we now have to extend closing yet again. This is by far the WORST company for anything, not just mortgages! They need to be put out of business!!

I signed up with Cross Country Mortgage and gave my phone number I then decided to go with another Mortgage company and I opted out from sales calls, well that didn't work because since July 5th, 2023 they been calling morning , noon, and night, I block the number but Cross Mortgage calls from another number. I even called Customer Service the lady said she has opt my number out from their call list but this company is still calling and harrassing me almost every day now and I want it to stop! I'm recommending family and friends do not sign up! Once they have your number it's constant calling and harassment.

I was working with an agent who was professional & courteous on a pre qualification for a home loan. When I contacted the home office with a question I was greeted by a woman with a bad attitude and was disconnected. When I called back she scolded me for hanging up on her! I'm glad I got this red flag and I decided to go with my bank.

I was working with Chad ***** to refinancing our home. The first appraisal was done and a note was made indicating a couple of exterior repairs needed to be made. When I brought this up to Chad on our 3/2/23 e-mail ("I saw the items that she mentioned but didn't know that the loan was contingent upon those being fixed right away, That is one of the things we were hoping to get cash back for. However, I will see about getting these fixed.", he replied "We don’t need anything fixed. File is already in processing and will be submitted to underwriting tomorrow." Spring forward to 3/20/23, he said the appraiser would be coming out for the 2nd inspection to confirm issues had been fixed. When I mentioned to him that he said "We don’t need anything fixed", he acted like we should have already done this since it was in the appraiser's initial write-up. His response was "You can’t close a loan until it’s completed per lending guildlines. There is no way around that unfortunately. This would be the same with any lender. It should not cost that much to complete. You could probably do the work. Just needs scraped and a prime". After we e-mailed back and forth, he never acknowledge he said that nothing needed to be fixed and acted like that never happened. To me, that broke the trust issue. When I said we were backing out of the refinance, he got ugly with some of his responses by saying "Every lender follows the same government guildlines. Loan depot is a terrible lender that will tell you anything you want to hear", "We also won’t transfer the appraisal." (regarding refinancing with my current company to which I said I already had the appraisal since I paid $550.00 for it!). We eventually cancelled this because we would not have received enough cash back to consolidate all debt so we would have a payment $800 more per month and still have several outstanding debts. Did not make sense spending so much in refinancing to get a bigger payment w/o accomplishing our goals.

This company is the worst! They will not stop calling me after being asked hundreds of times to remove me from their list. They don’t care and just hang up on you.

We were looking at refinancing our home with a couple different companies. Glenn from Cross Country came in making claims like his boss didn't like to lose, they'll beat any offer and close in 2 weeks. Should've ran then but decided to trust him. Not only didn't they not beat any other offer, they came in higher than other companies. Quoted at over $10k cash at close, ended up with only a couple hundred cash, and it took almost 4 weeks to close. Every promise this company made was broken. Don't trust this company!

Worst lender I have ever dealt with! Our loan officer Lance and his team were so unorganized, not informative and messed up a few times on some very important documents when it came to closing! The loan officer was also very aggressive, rude and argumentative! He treated and talked to my husband and I like we were stupid! Also at closing, we were under the impression that we only had to pay $20000 or so in closing costs. They made a mistake without informing us until the day of closing when we saw the new cash to close amount. It was almost DOUBLED then the original amount. When we brought this up, Lance took no responsibility for this mistake and made it as if it was our responsibility to know they had messed up! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have never contacted this company regarding a mortgage and they continue to call even after being asked multiple times about taking me off their call list. I have been on the do not call registry for about 2 months at this point and they are seriously violating the ftc rules. I’m looking to get my information permanently removed from their contact list and an apology for all of the unsolicited calls I have received. Their business practices are not legal and in my opinion they should be getting fined for how they are treating people.

I have never in my life dealt with a company with the WORST customer service in the entire world. I could understand if there was a language barrier but everyone who works here is American. You will need to call at least 5 times to get someone with common sense. Everyone sounds like they are grocery shopping or driving in their cares. They can never answerr simple questions or even have information. I rather eat a denim jacket then ever call this place again. Im asking about a payoff letter due to selling my home.. as Im talking the guy (Raul is his name) just transfer's me to the "survey" line. So I took the survey and Mr.Raul got all 1's. Cant wait for this closing and to never deal with them again.

Cross Country hit this one out of the park! I'm a local realtor so I know what happens if your lender isn't "on it." Chances are high that you won't close on time - or worse, you won't close at all. This was a particularly thorny transaction with the buyers having accounts overseas and an unusually obtuse HOA. Somehow, CCM, LLC made it work. I'm still amazed. I'm convinced that Margaret Lewis and her team worked all weekend while dotting every "i" and crossing every "t." And they communicated! When things were good they told me and when things weren't, they gave me a heads up. Look, stuff happens sometimes. Few transactions are perfect. All you can ask is that your lender work hard, tell you the good and bad and treat you with respect. Well done, Cross Country. This is a review that I am happy to give.
