You can't trust what they write on their loan disclosure forms, as it is incorrect. I applied for an $84,000 equity cash-out refinance loan, of which I was to receive $76,000 as a disbursement after closing costs, etc. When the notary showed up for me to sign the final paperwork, the disbursement had gone down to $68,000 from the $76,000 shown in the closing disclosure. In addition, on both the initial and closing disclosures, I was to pay for the property tax and house insurance due on the house each billing cycle. When I canceled the loan because of the reduction in the disbursement, the loan officer phoned me and said the funds reduction was because Cross Country Mtg. would continue to pay my house insurance and property tax for me - which contradicted what was written on the loan disclosures. He said he could reinstate the loan if I was interested and let me know the next day. Well, since I had canceled the loan without getting an explanation for the disbursement reduction, I decided to go ahead and see if the loan could be reinstated, considering that the reduction was to pay for house insurance and property tax that I would otherwise pay myself - per the loan officer. Well, the long and short of it is that it could not be reinstated after all. No reason given. Why call me and offer me a possible loan reinstatement when it wasn't doable is beyond me. I learned that this is not a professional company that you can trust what they tell you verbally, or what they write down/print on their forms, which makes doing business with them all but impossible.

A total waste of time dealing with them. I’ve been working with them since July of 2023. Finally found a home that suits my family. I got the pre-qualification, got ever in order, only to be denied during underwriting because of a credit card balance that was only $150 and I was late on paying because I wasn’t getting my payment notifications after getting a new phone. The balance was paid in full but underwriting still denied me for that even though my credit is good otherwise. And we are talking FHA loan, where the rules are a little more lenient. I went with another lender who did approve me and Cross Country just lost a sale and a customer. I suggest not to waste your time with Cross Country Mortgage, you’ll save yourself a huge headache!

I have been in the process of a new purchase and Cross country's agent and I have been speaking regularly up until the last couple of weeks. After he sent my pre approval and information I've had nothing but silence. Their corporate office is manned by two ladies when I've called one who knows nothing and one who's like speaking to one of Marg ******** sisters. Not only was the later of the two incredibly rude she said I'd be getting a call back which clearly hasn't happened. I would never ever recommend a company that takes your very important personal information who has such poor communication. Especially when making a life changing purchase. Your company is an absolute joke and your corporate ceo and anyone else who has a hand in being such a terrible company I hope you have the day you deserve!

They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I can't comment on the mortgage process becasue the front desk woman was rude and hung up when I asked for a supervisor. I have never had worse customer service with a business. If they do not record their calls, they should start.

They were able to harvest my number and info from a site that I used during my research and interest for current mortgage rates, etc... They have not stopped calling. I have blocked over 20 different numbers from them over the past two months and they just called from yet another new number. I have asked on several occasions for them to stop calling me and I blocked the number they called from that day. They have more numbers than a scammer. Judging from the other reviews here, they probably are a scam business that does not have anyone's interest in mind except their own. It is harassment at this point.

Discovered them through my realtor and initially intended to collaborate with Faramarz Moeen-Ziai. However, his assistant, Harly Cotaco, ended up handling my case, at least for the initial days. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be quite frustrating. They tend to prolong the process by repeatedly requesting additional documents, only to eventually become unresponsive, regardless of how persistent your attempts to contact them through calls, texts, or voicemails. It's a regrettable investment of time, and the added drawback of a credit inquiry seems entirely unwarranted. I would strongly recommend seeking out a more reliable company and avoiding any association with them.

Have had issues accessing the website for paying my mortgage online ever since the address was changed by Cross Country. Most of the time I am required to pay additional over the phone to make a payment because of this. Have had to call on numerous occasions all to no result in terms of payment online other than paying add'l to make my mortgage payment.

Jason Marsh handled our mortgage we closed on 3.12.21. We had 20% down but that was about it so Jason said we could do an FHA until we close on our other home which we knew we were going to be getting a 6 figure pay out in less than a month at closing so we decided to do the FHA to have extra cash to fix up the home that we were buying and then do the no cost refinance after we closed on other home since it would cost us nothing out of pocket. About 6 weeks after we closed on the Cross Country Mortgage loan we had the cash to refinance, I called Jason and he said we can't do the no cost refinance because we didn't have enough equity, I said WHAT, HUH, I was confused, I said Jason you said as soon as we closed and had the cash we could refinance because I had made it CLEAR to Jason that we did NOT want to pay PMI for more than a month or 2 AND WE HAD 20% but he talked us out of it, anyway I said OK I'll just pay down the principle and knock off the PMI that way, he said no you can't you are locked in for 10 years. I was blown away; this was the 5th home I had purchased in my life, and I realized I got ripped off BIG TIME. Fast forward to April-May of 2023, my husband died suddenly, I was needing to remove the $100 PMI off and now I owed 157,000 and could sell for 205,000 easily so I had a friend help me try to knock off the PMI and we were told that I am LOCKED into the PMI for the life of the loan 30 years. WHAT! OH NO! STAY AWAY FROM JASON MARSH and CCM as far as I'm concerned CCM SUCKS and SCAMS PEOPLE so READ THE FINE PRINT BECAUSE Jason made it a point to tell me that "I should have read the documents better before I closed" It's almost Christmas and I want others to hear my story, so they won't become SUCKERS too. At least I'm in a fixed rate 3.25% no early payoff penalty, but it's the point that CCM obviously hires con artists and doesn't try to help fix things for people with excellent credit scores and MASSIVE equity too.
