      On or about March 14, 2022, I was approved for an auto loan with Huntington Bank through the auto dealer. The loan was paid off on or about July 27, 2022. A refund is due from The Huntington Bank because I overpaid. Apparently a refund was issued about August 2, 2022, although the refund was not received. I contacted Customer Service on August 22, 2022, inquiring if the account reflected an overpayment or credit balance. The representative, I believe whose name is John, informed me a check was sent. I replied the check was not received. He informs me that I should expect a document by August 31, 2022 which I should then return. I contact Huntington today, September 2, 2022, and spoke with India. She informs me that I will not be receiving any document to complete and return. Rather, a stop payment will be issued on the check. When asked how long the stop payment would take, the response India provided “ it may take three (3) weeks or longer, depending on how many people are ahead of you.”
      India provided a case reference #*********.
      The response was not meeting a realistic timeline. The bank accepts electronic payments. Surely an electronic transfer could be a way to issue the refund.
      I am asking the BBB to assist in a timely refund.

      Huntington Bank purchased my home loan. After i contacted them via phone to pay my monthly mortgage for the 1st time, i was informed that i had to physically visit a local branch to set up an account to pay online. Very annoying, but there happened to be a branch close by to me, so not my main complaint. When i arrived at the bank branch, i was told i couldn't set up an online account to pay a mortgage, and that the only way i could pay my mortgage online was to open a checking account with the bank.

      That feels wrong to me! Literally every financial institution takes payments online. It seems like the bank bought my home loan in order to force me into other Huntington financial products. Home loans get sold all the time, but i'm left wondering if Huntington bought my loan solely because there's a branch in my zip code, and they want to force me into using their other products. It's not like i can take my business elsewhere, i don't have any control over who services my home loan.

      On July 2nd 2022 I purchased a 2019 Buick Enclave from **** Wahlberg Auto in Columbus, OH. I financed a portion of the vehicle cost thru Huntington Banks. I am a WV resident. The title has still not been transferred so my complaint is I've made my initial payment to Huntington Banks and as of September 2nd I don't have a title, thus my vehicle is not legal to put on the road.
      My constant calls, about 12 at this point, seems to fall on deaf ears. I researched and provided all the key information such as when the state of Ohio issued, 7/15, when the dealership sent to Huntington, 7/19, and when their Wilmington OH office received it, 7/20, and still, no title. I need this processed ASAP.

      Went to the bank to pay my dues and close my account. The lady stated my account was now closed. Hunnington Bank is still Tying to take money out when no money in account and account is closed. Called back with no help.

      I deposited a $2400.00 check into my Huntington checking account via the mobile app on 08-02-2022. I received a pop up message which stated "your funds will be released in 7 business days. I tried to access my mobile account the next morning and was unable to. I called customer service and was told "The hold has been placed on your account which prevents online access" I asked if my debit card was included in this hold to which she replied "No your card is good to use". I attempted to use my card later that day and it was declined. Fast forward to today 08-30-22 and my entire account is still locked, the customer service Supervisors will not even speak to me now! The only response I get is "Our hold department is waiting on a reply" The hold department has only contacted the issuing bank via a non monitored email" The issuing bank account manager tried calling for verification, my company controller was on a three way call with me without success!. I am now out far more than the original deposited amount without any resolution in sight. I am located in a state without a branch, the nearest branch is 8 hours away....I cant even withdraw any of the pre existing funds $1000.00 that was in my account at the time of the mobile deposit! The issuing bank has paid the check, Huntington says they have not!

      I received a check in the mail that was made out to Wheaton College FBO ***** ******. I endorsed and deposited this check online with my Huntington checking account on May 5th, 2022. The Huntington National Bank deposited the funds into my account without endorsement from Wheaton College and then locked my account. I have called numerous times to resolve this issue, but they have insisted that this is my problem to resolve, not theirs. The Huntington National Bank should never have deposited this check as it was not properly endorsed, so they should be the ones to get the check to where it needs to go and unlock my account. I have not been able to access any of my money for almost 4 months now because of their mistake.

      My fiancé and I endured Covid for the first time a couple weeks ago. Our employer quit paying Covid pay… we were unaware of this, and was not paid and not informed until our paychecks…. I reached out to Huntington for help hoping they could help since I get a bonus on Sept 9th… I was charged almost $200 in fees… and my account was over drawn a little over $200… it was have been courteous to give me that little bit of leeway even… to just help due to the pandemic. You read online that this company does this and that to combat the pandemic and help consumers get the relief they need, but they were EXTREMELY rude and honestly no help… I just think more big time businesses need to be willing to help combat the Pandemic - Covid crisis for consumers… as a one time - one off courteous situation…

      The screen shot I uploaded is still actively advertised on the website. I know that my bonus is not a stimulus but it is very comparable in this situation…. I’m finally getting relief… I don’t wanna lose my bank account. I love Huntington and I have never needed help before, and when I do they just seem very heartless. It is sad to see that…

      I had a auto loan through hunting bank during COVID they offered payment deferral which I took advantage of and said they would put them at the end. I have made all my payments and today I came home to my truck reposed because my maturity date had ended. They want me to pay 900 some dollars to get my vehicle back and continue to make my payments. This is such a scam I was never made aware that the deferred won't extend my loan and they would rep my vehicle and want me to pay more to get it back

      I have been banking with Huntington bank since I have been 16 years old. I am now 54 years old. They recently sent me a certified letter stating they are closing my account on 09/14/2022 due to me being a risk tolerance. What kind of risk could I be? I am a good American citizen that has a great credit score, and never over draft. The only thing I can think of is maybe because I withdrew a substantial amount of money that was mine from Edward Jones because I closed my stock account investments because stocks were taking a nose dive. I don’t trust banks as far as I can throw them. So I took MY OWN MONEY OUT OF MY HUNTINGTON ACCOUNT FOR SAFE KEEPING SO I COULD REPLACE MY PERSONAL PROPERTY DUE TO A HOUSE FIRE.
      I should be allowed to do what I want with my own money. Them closing my account is bad business. This is an awful way to treat a loyal customer. This is a huge inconvenience for someone who suffers with a SEVERE disability. Everything such as credit cards, utilities, mortgage, insurance, etc are on autopay. Now I have to change everything. This is causing me worse headaches and severe mental anguish due to this being very time consuming and very stressful. I have a lot of personal check books that are going to be wasted. This is money I don’t have. I live on a social security disability fixed income. Shame on you Huntington Bank. I assure you I am no kind of risk to you. There are way bigger fish in the sea that you should be looking out for. I am a teeny tiny person. You cannot even give me a legitimate reason why you are closing my account. Is it because you merged with TCF Bank. You have a lot of complaints since doing so? I need answers. This is very unethical business practice. Your company needs to be investigated and fined for treating good American Citizens in this manner.
      I will be filing a complaint with the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) if you don’t make this right and keep my account open.

      The online mortgage service includes people from Grand Rapids and Birmingham Michigan. The Lender Agent and the Processer both in writing demanded we get flood insurance prior to them even scheduling an inspection on the property or an inspection. The insurance agent tried to provide a quote since we did not even know if we would get the property and they would not accept it. The agent said "their flood review team needed it or it would hold up our closing date" .

      4 days later in writing it was confirmed our flood insurance was approved by their flood team. Over a month later (closing date still not complete due to their incompetence) They tell us the flood insurance is not acceptable due to it being through a private insurance company. We had to get another police costing double through a different agency.

      The first policy we cant get out money back and we feel Huntington should reimburse us for the policy. You can not insure property you dont own and their "flood review" team approved the policy. We complied with everything these people made us do to get our closing completed.

      Took 90 days costing us more in numerous areas and was almost left homeless. They treated us terrible and horrible service. They would not return calls, texts, emails. They played games and put us in the middle. Even the Manager said "she didnt have time to deal with us because she was in back to back meetings. We closed finally and never heard from any of them. They obviously did not want our business.
