I wouldn’t give Huntington Bank a star if it didn’t require me to, I’ve been with them for over a decade and when I went through hardships they did not work with me. I don’t recommend anyone bank with them their values have been driven by making more money not the consumers i would suggest going to another financial institution or a credit union they can care less about their customers. Corporate nor the local banks care about the customers it’s all about numbers

Had 2 accounts. One was negative for 11 days and they closed both accounts. I had 2 direct deposits within a couple days. Was told they would be rejected and to see if my employer would send me a check so I could have my money. My employer wired me the funds and then a week later after being told this from Huntington, they hard posted the direct deposits and didn’t reject them and wouldn’t reject them. Then wouldn’t release my funds of over $1000 dollars. I had to wait for some process which could be weeks. Now I might lose my job cuz it looks like fraud.

I have made two payments and have expired temp tag. No paperwork to get my car registered. It's been parked in the driveway for two weeks. Called again today. Said docs were mailed last week but tracking info says still waiting on package from shipper. Absolutely the worst. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HUNTINGTON BANK.
*Zero stars should be an option.

Deceitful, lying, untrustworthy, undependable and very, very bad Bank to deposit any money. Yes, Huntington Bank is a disgrace. "At Huntington, we strive to make people''s lives better...". Maybe by cheating them with faulty promotions! They recently advertised for Perks Checking account. I met with a transitional branch manager from Benton Harbor. Then again with the next Branch manager in transition. Finally, a permanent Branch Manager. The initial two leaders assured me that I was fine setting up the Perks for a $400 day bonus by their requirements. I set up on line & there was no promotion code provided. After 90+ days, I asked why my $400 was not added to my account. The 800- staff sought reasons why I should NOT get the $400. I was not allowed to deposit $5000 at on time. I was a former customer (yet they closed the bank itself) so I could not have a Perks. The THIRD manager, at the bank site, told me that I did not use their required CODE when I set up the account, so no $400. In summary, they did successfully cheat me out of the cash bonus by their manipulations. Is this what we want in our BANKS?
It sure does present that Huntington uses any excuses it can identify to be sure to cheat its customers out of the promotional bonus that they entice with all the time. It seems like staff are trained to suck you in and then be sure to find some excuses to prevent the customers from securing the promised bonuses.
There are many more details I could share here, but suffice it to say that I have not found any Bank at all in my local area that is as corrupt as Huntington Bank. They will identify some reasons to cheat the customer. Be very careful if you try them!!!

My checking account was accessed fraudulently. In January I went to the branch, completed the fraud dispute forms with the branch manager at the Crown Plaza location. Once the funds were returned to that account, I went back to the bank to close that account with the same branch manager and transferred the funds to a new checking account.
In early April, the old checking account that was supposed to be closed, was fraudulently accessed again. I phoned the fraud line and told them I was disputing charges. I spoke to the local Huntington branch manager account who said he'd deal with it. When I asked why the account hadn't been closed, he told me as a courtesy to me, the account remains open for 30 days so that any pending charges I have are paid. I explained to him again that I didn't use that account, I had no pending charges and it had been well past 30 days. He then said that accounts stay open for 60 or 90 days, "I can't remember, they change it all the time." This makes zero sense and I feel quite certain Huntington doesn't change their banking policies all the time.
After continuing to receive notifications that I owed money on this account that was fraudulently accessed after it was never closed by the branch manager, I went to a different Huntington branch on High St. The branch manager there helped me fill out the fraud dispute forms and he faxed them in.
I am still receiving notifications that I am overdrawn on this account. As of today, I am told that I need to go in yet again to close this account. I work full time and have wasted way too much time on this bank that can't be trusted with my money.

Huntington is a scam, they will hold your funds and say they released them but the funds will never post to your account, but of course on the end it says it’s clear! I had this happen multiple times on merchandise I’ve returned to the store and once on a mobile check I deposited for $515 they cleared $500 instantly and I had to wait for the $15 just to never receive it!!!! I’m broke I know how much I should and shouldn’t have they will screw your over please keep receipts and screenshots of your transactions if you plan to bank with Huntington

My son and I moved and switched to a Huntington Bank because our local bank was not in the area. We have had 3 issues in 4 months. They hold the account hostage. The last 2 times we couldn't access our funds, this time (after 4 months) they said my son needed to bring his ss card into the bank manager to get his mobile banking app to be reopened so he could Deposit money! Stay away.

Don't do investments with Huntington. While doing paperwork to get my investments removed my advisor told me wrong on filling out the paperwork and now I'm out over $7000.

Debit card stolen with fraudulent charges -- three times calling to report that it was stolen and kept getting disconnected AFTER a 30 minute wait time. TWO hours of trying to report the fraud and clearly they just don't care about their customers. My business will be moving on away from Huntington. Our personal account issues just cost you our business account.
