      awful ! I deposited a check last week and they keep telling me that I have to wait for it to be available, it has never happened to me before, they don't care about anything and they don't give you a worthwhile explanation

      So these people drained our account to get their money for their credit card and didn't care that our mortgage bounced. Then they just emailed me to say we don't have a credit card with them.

      Had a loan through Chemical Bank that was paid off 1-1/2 years ago. Huntington purchased Chemical Bank and failed to send payoff notices to customers. I had to request a payoff letter which they tell me will take 2 weeks to mail and mail is the only method they will use. Crazy that these letters can’t be sent immediately using email or fax, especially since the fault is with the bank for not fulfilling their responsibility when they should have.

      Worse customer service of any bank!
      Had an online problem…called the number for help…and that rep was not able to assist me with the problem and suggested I go to the branch bank. He did not mention that I needed to make an appointment. Went to the bank for assistance with online banking and was also interested in a CD purchase. I was not able to get service from financial banker because I didn’t have an appointment!!! There was only one customer ahead of me. But stated no service without an appointment.
      I left the bank and was able to go to another bank … no appointment needed and open a CD!
      I am a senior citizen and not that knowledgeable with computers…but my son solved my issue with the online banking.
      Huntington lost me has a customer and my money is good at so many other banks.

      FAKE SCAM! They offer this “money” to open a new account but when you do then they try to say your an existing customer and when you submitted the code for the offer … they won’t call you to hear your complaint. They’ll close your case . They are rude. I wouldn’t recommend this bank. Highly recommend to file a complaint of how much of a scam they are.

      Huntington National Bank changed the final payment method on my auto loan from EFT to requiring a call in payment. They indicated they notified me by mail. No attempt was made to contact me through email, phone, or text to let me know about this change. They indicated I can't expect them to contact every person they have a loan with that they are changing the last payment. I believe they actually can and should, considering phone calls, texts, and emails are automated. In October I called Huntington National Bank and inquired about the final payment and nothing was mentioned about this coming off of EFT.
      I was more than willing to make the final payment. Huntington National Bank was willing to waive the late fee on the payment I didn't know about. Huntington National bank has made the stance that they are unwilling to change the credit reporting because this was my error in that they notified me of the change and the payment was in fact late. My stance is that a single mailer is not a valid attempt to contact me, and expecting me to be familiar with their bureaucracy is not a reasonable expectation. Technically it is my fault. But I think they set it up to be that way. They claim the reason is because they don't know what the final payment will be, but this is not a normal business practice in my opinion.I'm going to get a bit conspiratorial here, but it's entirely possible they just have a stupid business practice. But I'm a cynic, and corporate business practices I've seen in the past tend to support my cynicism.
      I think they deliberately sabotage final payments so they can significantly raise interest rates on future auto loans, knowing most people will get loans through the same bank they did business with last, and people are ok with paying the higher interest rates because after all, this was their fault.

      I am writing this review to bring to future Clients attention a matter of utmost urgency regarding my recent experience with Huntington National Bank My purpose in writing this letter is to express my dissatisfaction and concern with the level of service I have received, which has led me to assign a rating of 1 out of 10 to my overall banking experience.
      2/ 2024, I have encountered several issues that have significantly impacted my confidence in the services provided by Huntington These issues include mention specific with my checking account such as account errors, not stopping a transaction when they approved a check that was deposited causing my account to become negative and using my savings to cover without my permission.
      Despite my attempts to resolve these matters through the regular channels, I have not received satisfactory solutions or responses.
      We were valued customer, I had expected a higher standard of service from Huntington . The issues I have encountered not only have caused inconvenience but have also raised concerns about the security and reliability of my banking relationship with your institution.
      We have been with Huntington for 46 years even though this not the first issue we had with them we should have left them a long time ago.

      I’ve banked with Huntington for years and recently applied for a home equity line of credit. I submitted all required documentation the same day. The website stated ******** ****** was my banker and “we’ll be in touch with you soon” Since applying I received a letter in the mail in regards to what a credit score is. I received one automated video about “being here to guide me through the process.”
      I never received any communication from this banker after this. The website still has the same status “we’ll be in touch with you soon.” After not hearing anything back for a week I reached out to ******** directly and she informed me that the application was denied. Very poor business practices with Huntington and ******** ****** after running my credit and receiving all documents from me to not follow up with me directly, update their website, or contact me in any way in regards to the loan status. I’ve just been sitting here thinking that Huntington has an extremely slow loan process. Realistically they just have very poor customer service for a loan application. Regardless of being approved or denied I will never go to Huntington for a loan again due to the poor communication. If you are looking to get any type of loan I highly recommend going somewhere else with a team that actually communicates clearly with their clients.

      Every time I called with an issue, I would get inconsistent information and never received consistent responses. I submitted two disputes, and they closed my account without any notification or reason why. Since it was near the end of the month, it left me in a difficult situation, trying to move my direct deposits to a new bank in time. My direct deposits were sent to a closed account, and now I'm waiting for them to be returned and resubmitted to my new account. This is going to take several weeks and is making me late on all my bills. This is completely unacceptable and unnecessary. They could have given me a reason for closing my account and a chance to provide any information to justify their cause for closing it. At a minimum, they could have left my account open to give me time to switch my direct deposits without causing me this distress.
