horrible bank to have a mortgage with. reported me to the credit bureau as late when the payment was made on time and took my credit score down by 150 points. I would not have known because I did not receive anything in the mail from them. Good thing I have credit karma who notified me and then when I called the customer service department at the bank they told me your payment is showing made and on time. no explanation for the reporting to the credit bureau. this is the third time in the past 5 years they have done this to me. If it was not so expensive to refinance I would definately refinance. and the customer service representatives seem clueless to what they are doing, very rude as well. do better huntington bank. The Huntington National Bank

Completely incompetent bank (*********** **). After receiving inaccurate banking advice both my wife and I (both of us are lawyers) pulled all of our money out of this bank and went elsewhere. This bank has a serious competency problem and their employees are utterly clueless buffoons. There is no way that we are going to continue to trust this bank with our money. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere for your investment needs. The Huntington National Bank

My car is constantly getting locked up for no reason and declined. I will be canceling my account with Huntington as soon as I get back homeThe Huntington National Bank

Worst business practices, very unethical will have a disabled person that is truly sick run around in circles to try and get their money after they make excuses for the American disability act and close an account out with excuses upon excuses, they say finally its high risk or fraud, but if it's taken care of the (disputes, filed). Then there is no basis at all... closed disputes i closed on my own without their help in anything , called told them to close them and they are still holding over 3000.00 in funds until they deem fit to give them back to me after I run out of medicine and have to go back to ER, said they will send a check in mail. They zero your account out with one hand and deny you access so you cant see your own balance on their app and in the other back office hold your cash
... legitimate funds of yours , while it sits and draws interest in their pockets. I been begging for my disabled funds to be released for health and medical reasons for 7 days and still to no avail they keep giving excuses, even when I was told to go to local branch to retrieve my funds, then i was told that someone in the "back department ", deemed it ok to put a hold on my account off of their own personal opinion. I don't care about their personal opinion because they clearly don't care about someone life they are playing with. If they closed my account or Said 2nd Chance and still keep on with a disabled person and one of the representatives laughed thought it was funny that I called everyday, I sure did .. it's my monies. I don't owe you anything Huntington. Your playing with ppl lives and that is not ok. Especially when the person remedied the claims themselves (ME,) and called to let the dispute team know . Still no resolution and multiple disinformation to the person monies whom your drawing interest off of the past week. Thanks for helping disabled people. The Huntington National Bank

Huntington bank is a giant circus. I had to go through countless hoops to figure out WHY I wasn't receiving my sign on bonus for opening a checking account. I waited 90 days and called them and a representative told me to wait another week or two and my $600 bonus would be in my account. She said I followed all the requirement. Then when I called back later at that time a different representative told me that I did NOT meet the requirements. My first call was to make sure I met the requirements! I then asked if there was anything I could do or if I could reopen the account and wait another 90 days and he just told me no because I wouldn't be considered a "new customer" to receive the bonus. I was frustrated but whatever it was my fault I put the money in the wrong account. I would have just canceled the first call if the first representative told me that I didn't do it correctly and that I put my money into the wrong Huntington account for 90 days. So then I asked the second representative if I could cancel my accounts over the app and he said yes. Once I transferred all my money out to a different bank I go to cancel on the app and that's not a thing. Then I call and they cancel one account but because he other one has a pending transaction he can't cancel that one so he tells me to call in a few days. I then call a couple days later and the lady on the phone tells me I HAVE to go to a physical branch to cancel. I am beyond frustrated. None of the representatives have consistent information. They hire people without training them consistently, it seems, and I have called them dozens of times to try and fix a problem that could have been fixed by the first person telling me you didn't meet the requirements. I only signed up for Huntington for the sign on bonus which I didn't even receive and now I'm spending hours of my life trying to cancel these stupid account so I don't get charged monthly maintenance fees. I hate this bank. Waste of my time. The Huntington National Bank

Worst bank ever! I have my vehicle through them. I did a temporary forbearance during covid with them, which would of left me with a balance after terms. They came and repoed my vehicle without warning, never missed a payment, but terms ended. Never sent a letter, gave a call. I've paid over 23k into this vehicle and only owe a few grand. I have been trying to pay the balance and nobody knows how to help me. It's been over a week. I've been to several nearby branches, called. Then they threatened to send the vehicle to auction, but the company which has my vehicle is only only 6 hours a week on 2 separate days. It's almost like they are legitimately trying to make money off of it and not give it back. The Huntington National Bank

Before I went into this branch, I went online to see if the funds had posted which they had. It showed In green (meaning go). Then i proceeded to go into the branch to get the withdraw. The Teller told me I could not make a withdraw of a wire transfer I had received. I was the only person of color in this branch at this time. I spoke to a manager who was rude and unhearing of what the teller had did. Instead of the manager getting to the bottom of why I was mistreated, lied to, and dimissed without resolution. She showed to the door. I went to another branch and had my funds released. I also called the customer service line and was told that the money was released/ able to be withdrawn. The Teller at the other branch where the funds were released at, the Manager had to sign off on it because of the amount. The Branch that denied me my withdraw, also stated that they was going to file a complaint on the branch that gave me the funds. there is noway that a Teller and Branch Manager both made a mistake by releasing my funds. I then realised that the Branch at fault was trying to lie and place the blame on someone else because they had knowingly Violated me because of my race. Every other person was of opposite race and was treated properly and respectfully. This treatment should be unacceptable. I have been banking with Huntington Bank for years and also have referred several people, thinking this was a good bank. The way I was treated doesnt make the Bank itself a bad bank but It does speak In volume of what the Bank stands for. Something needs to be done. The Huntington National Bank

I banked at the Huntington for over 35 years and financed 2 cars with them, and never had problem with them until this year. Someone got into my account and took out money the bank told me they they had to open a whole new account until this was settled and then they would close the old account all together. I was told I had to leave some money in the account to keep it active. I left $65.00 in the account, I had banked with them for 35 years, I trusted them I never had any reason not to. They closed the account in July and they have never returned the $65.00 that was still in the account. I have done everything they have asked me to do and they keep kicking the can down the road and have never returned it. I am honest to a fault and I expect the company's I deal with to do the same. I have taken my business elsewhere, and closed my account. I don't know what happened to this bank, but something did. Don't waste your time and possibly your money opening an account with these people, they are dishonest, and untrustworthy. Take my advice go somewhere else. The Huntington National Bank

This is not the place to have an account. I have had problems with personal and business.. I am trying to call the customer service explaining that I have an account that I wrote a check to take the Balance to zero. I am wanting to know if that check was cashed so that I can go in the branch and close the account. The person over the phone had me verify 8 Pieces of information but still when I gave the answer on whether or not it took the Balance to zero she is telling me She won't answer me but won't give a reason why. She said I have to go into the branch and if the balance is not 0 Then I went for no reason and I just have to keep trying every day. I asked for a supervisor to have this confirmed and she Refused to escalate the call. However, when I refuse to hang up the phone she then told me she would get a supervisor but rather she put me on hold for 13 minutes and then hung up on me. Completely disrespectful Without an explanation why. I have had much success and other banks But this one is not customer service oriented.
For the record I verified my social security number, The business EIN number, My address, My phone number, The balance I wrote the check out for, The fact that it was a counter check, The date that I would have written it out, As well as the type of transactions before this check even though I did not know The exact dollar amount explained her they were little deposits. The Huntington National Bank
