      My 88 year old father died recently, I had to have his name removed from joint accounts at a Huntington Branch in University Heights Ohio. I brought in his death certificate. A few days later a hold was placed on the checking account. Someone from the branch called and told me I needed to bring in a power of attorney. I brought that to the branch and the hold remained. We had no way to pay bills, no way to pay aides that assist my mother. I seemed to annoy the branch manager. There was no one I could contact. A weekend without access to my account. Why would a bank do that without notifying the customer first. I could have brought in the power of attorney ahead of time. This woman is 87 years old and no one could help or even cared. I am so yoset about Huntingtons customer service. I feel helpless.

      Opened a business account. No problems first 3 months. A customer filled out a check wrong and they deducted the returned check 2x instead of one putting the account negative. Went to the bank to straighten it out which they did but then told us corporate closed or account. They have is the account balance minus the pending saying that the pending would be paid. A well later so the pending have been returned unpaid and now we have late payments and fees and they money for the pending has disappeared. They basically stole our money and then told us any accounts personal or business from our address would be closed and we could never again open an account with them. They also banned access to the account so our business could not see what our where the money for the pending charges had went. Unbelieavable. We have contacted or stormy and are filing a lawsuit and per his advise filling a police report for stolen money.

      DOES THIS BANK EVER RETURN A CALL?????
      I have left several voicemails and no one there ever returns a call! I am just trying to close my moms accounts…she passed away over 2 years ago (YES 2 YEARS) and I’m still trying to get this done! No one returns calls so I have to go into the bank (which is located in Michigan and I live in Florida) so I have to make trips to Michigan to go into the bank to be told what they need and when I supply them with what they requested then they need more stuff which I again supply them with…then they tell me to contact Florida to see what their laws are…WHY DO YOU NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I NEED???? This is very frustrating and what my mother was trying to prevent my sisters and I to have to go through! I would NEVER bank with Huntington or recommend them to anyone! Someone needs to step up and end this nightmare!!!!!

      Huntington National Bank is the WORST BANK in history!!! I used their app to deposit a payroll check on 8/31. I had just opened my account with them 2 weeks prior. I was told my funds would be available in 24 hours. I have called every day since and my money is still not there. This morning I get an email telling me that my deposit was complete. I tried to use my debit card to pay my cell phone bill and it is declined! I call the bank to see what's up. They tell me "I'm sorry! We have decided to close your account due to fraudulent activities!" I ask, "What might those activities be?" I was told "The check you deposited was dated for 9/1 and you deposited it on 8/31." I explained that I was going out of town on the 1st, so my boss paid me a day early. I assumed that since it took 24 hours to process, it would be fine. ITS A SIMPLE MISTAKE! I proceed to tell the lady that I didn't mind them closing the account because I didn't want to do business with a bank that would withhold my money over a simple mistake. I then asked if I could just go to my local branch and have them give me a cashier's check for the balance in my account, or if they could return the funds to my boss's account and have him just cut me another check. She says "I'm sorry sir! That is not possible. You will receive your money in the mail within the next 30 BUSINESS DAYS in the form of a cashier's check!" What the actual ****??? They held my money for 8 days only to tell me I have to wait 30 more??? **** HUNTINGTON NATIONAL BANK!!!

      Huntington is closing my account and freezing my money talking about risk, even though I have money. They have penalized me for having money at every junction. I want to sue them. They are costing me a place to live, and food for my children 0/10

      Filed for loan 6/12 and had to continuously get a hold of them to see what was going on. Days later the run around. Hit my credit for nothing. Wouldn’t acknowledge my stipends as a travel nurse. Wells Fargo answered yes the same day. Horrible - closing all my accounts.

      I have received several emails regarding mortgage information for another person. At first I thought it was spam but soon realized that it was just an incorrect email. I contacted the representative and let them know several times that it was not me and they needed to correct their information. I was assured this would be corrected. Today I received another email with this couples loan information and bank account information. I do have an account with Huntington and plan to move my accounts elsewhere. I would not want them to give my information to anyone. This is very unprofessional, they should contact the customer to let them know they are giving out their information freely and provide credit fraud protection.

      I have been trying for over 4 weeks to get a traditional IRA retirement plan closed. This plan is from an employer I had over 15 years ago & am no longer associated with. I have called customer service 6 times in 4 weeks and spent a minimum 45 minutes on hold being transferred & transferred until I am eventually disconnected. All I am asking for are forms to be emailed to me so I may fill them out, have it notarized & faxed back to close this account & receive a check for the funds. Customer service at this institution is abysmal! I work full time. There is no way I can wait on the phone for 1.5 hours at a time just to be disconnected or passed to a totally irrelevant department. I just want my **** money. How hard can this be? It almost feels intentional.

      I had some phishing attacks on my checking account and needed to close it and open a new one. I was lament setting up my bill pay again and the banker assured me that Huntington would automatically resume sending my online payments. 3 months later I get a late notice from my HOA with late fees. An untrained banker costs me $50. If he hadn’t said anything I would have set it up and been fine. This was at the South High street location so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. I will be changing banks. It’s only $50 but it’s the principal and it irks me!

      They suspended an account I have with another bank that I opened for loan I have. No one at Huntington "knows" how this happened, no "knows" who did it and they can't do anything about it supposedly...this is going to affect my credit score if I can't get it figured out and there's no reason for...Huntington is terrible and I'll be opening a new account elsewhere
