      I have had more than enough money in my account and I've had multiple transactions denied. For what reason I don't know but I'm almost 7 years old on a fixed income. Today I was out this extremely hot. I had to go get a couple of essentials in my card was denied at the store. Now I have paid somebody to take me to and from the store didn't get what I needed. I'm old, I'm tired and I have no way now to get to the store. So thank you Huntington Bank. I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm so glad that this is how you treat customers that have been with you for over 10 years. And this is not the first time this has happened. Obviously it's time for me to look for a new bank, but anybody who lives day-to-day and is old and needs help and needs to make sure that they're card works when it's supposed to make sure you don't get Huntington Bank because they are not good when it comes to taking care of their customers and making sure that things work the way they're supposed to. It may have just been a transaction to you Huntington Bank but this is my life. That trip took me all day to get set up yesterday and it took me hours today to get ready and to get over there and to get the stuff that I needed and then to have my transaction declined. Also I can get taken home and pay for rides that I never needed to pay for. You. Just don't understand the pain and heartache that has been caused because you declined a transaction when there is more than enough money in the account.

      I open my bank account with Huntington bank back in June. I thought this was a great decision, but it was not in July. I took a trip to Nigeria to visit my family once I got there I saw that a payment for my visa had not cleared they said, I needed to make the payment again. I went to my account to Zelle myself $160 and some odd change and I was unable to Zelle from the app, it gave me a number to call which I did call once the rep got on the phone. I explain to her my problem and let her know that I was out of the country. She then told me that I would need to delete the app and re-download it. I have formed her that I was out of the country and that the IP address may come off different and it may not work and I was also using Roman charges to have this phone call so it may take a really long time for the app to download, nothing was resolved. She told me that she was going to escalate the issue and give me a call back within two days. Never received a call up until today’s time. I got back home to a bigger mess my account was closed and reopened with out my knowledge only once I called I was inform! My phone has been blacklisted! And still this company seem to point the finger at me for all of this! Also after a months now the only way I got to know this was because I called! The same with how my accounts was closed! I have never experienced this much headache without being informed! On the called today I was told I was confused without even giving a reasonable solution to why my phone was blacklisted and was told was giving to second chance without knowing why my first one was taking away from me! They only make me feel like I was trying to take my money which is none sense! I am not able use the app which is the only way you can Zelle money unless I get a new phone which is what I was told how crazy!

      I have asked Huntington Bank to refund my money that paid ********** I gave Huntington Bank everything that they asked for they lost my documents twice and still have not resolved the issue. I went straight to the bank, explain to them what is happened the bank has faxed over to the complaint department all the stuff that I’ve told them and how Huntington has lost the documents twice and they still pulled out 1,296.72 they sent me letters that I have overdrawn my account but they have paid them I have called them multiple times to get this matter resolved. This has been going on for over a month with **** ******, and Huntington still not resolved.

      Terrible. I had been a 50 year customer of TCF bank which they took over a few years ago. It has been an awful experience ever since. It took seven trips to the bank resolve a business account issue. They were unable to connect their bank to my other bank so I could transfer funds between my personal accounts and business accounts. As a business owner this was a huge issue. They never were able to fully resolve the issue, so I finally closed all the accounts I had with them after great pain of changing all my autopays, etc.
      The day I closed all the accounts, they made me stand at the counter for 30 minutes due to “system issues”. They assured me everything was closed and wrote me a check for the remaining balances. A week later I checked my app and found out they hadn’t closed all the accounts. They had also charged me a service fee because of low balance. Unbelievable!! So I called the branch. What was their solution? They wanted me to come back to the branch to resolve it. Wow!
      Don’t go there!l Heed my advice.

      If there were negative stars, I would pick that. Never use Huntington Bank ever. My daughter's account was hacked and so they have her accunt locked for up to 90 days. Won't issue her any money and her rent and utilities are at stack. They're holding $1500 ransom even though she has ID and everything else to prove who she is. Unacceptable.

      We had a car loan with them for less than 2 weeks before we refinanced with our bank because Huntington's interest rates were out of control. Our bank paid off the loan and Huntington Bank put a hold on the check for 7 days. When I requested a pay off letter I got run around after run around about how many days the check would be on hold. Huntington received the check on 6/27 and did not supply me with a pay off letter until July 10th after fighting with them. Now here we are August 9th and I am being told that my Gap insurance refund will not be processed for 60 business days and they can't tell me where it stands and wont even inquire with their third party to find out if it's in the process or if there is any issues. I was told that they will only do that if they don't receive the check within 60 business days. Which means that I wont get it within 60 business days which is ridiculous because this business didn't even have my loan long enough to cause all of these problems or have to wait so long for payment to be received. I have never dealt with nor do I ever care again to deal with Huntington the worst experience I have had with a bank or credit union. My parents who bought a vehicle through a different institution and refinanced within 2 weeks had their GAP insurance refund in less then 30 days which is by far more reasonable when the bank isn't trying to hold on to money that isn't theirs.

      I wish it was possible to give 0 stars. This bank will literally hold your money hostage in all ways possible under the guise of "fraud protection" when in reality, they just force customers to stay with them. Their treatment is ridiculous and ultimately has led me to stop my business with them.
      I wanted to move my money from here to ******* *** and ******* ****** using a bank to bank transfer and my external accounts were suspended. I called customer service to investigate, and they promptly lifted the suspension. Great! I attempted to move my money again, and was promptly suspended. Not great. I called customer service once again, and they informed me the first suspension lift was not processed correctly, and that I would have to go into a branch and provide proof that I owned the ******* *** account and the ******* ****** account was "part of a waterfall effect".
      That made no sense, considering that I had moved money previously with bank to bank transfer, but I went into a branch anyway and provided proof of the ******* *** account. I was assured the ******* ****** account would also be fine. The suspension is lifted (yay!) and then I go ahead and start another bank to bank transfer. Both transfers are stopped with no reason given, the ******* ****** account is suspended and upon calling customer service, am told I have to go back and submit something for ******* ****** now - despite being informed I did not originally have to.
      I am encouraged to try to use Bill Pay to move my money, and I successfully set it up and move a small amount of money without issue. When I try to move more money, my entire online banking access is revoked and the Bill Pay transfers are stopped. I call customer service again, and am told that I need to go into a branch again to verify my ID. To even access my account.
      Holding your customers hostage is not how you do business. Holding their money hostage is not how you retain customers.

      Horrible bank. Tried to contact them about my deceased brother's bank account that I was beneficiary. Would never return calls or emails. Since I was undergoing Cancer treatment and could not travel to Michigan I could not to go to the bank directly. My sister came from AZ with the authority to handle the account but was told she was too late and the account was turned over to Unclaimed Property. At least 8 phone calls, four emails and one registered letter unanswered.
      When I called *** ******* was never available. Told to leave message and it would be returned.
      Never was. I would leave less than 1 star if I could.

      Having trouble getting lean release on my car from Last year. Was sent ppwk with wrong VIN on it and have had to waste multiple visits to DMV due to this issue.
