This bank is borderline criminally awful.
I sent an ACH transfer of about 6K. For about a month, the receiving bank claims they can't find it. Somehow, in this confusion, every time I call Huntington they give a different federal trace ID. This is simpler than banking 101. Then, after a month, the funds are still not found, I ask them to recall the funds, thinking perhaps the receiving party was a scammer. Just ask the scammer for the funds back was the message they kept repeating -- like Mcdonald's workers have more latitude with speaking than these customer service reps. The other bank DOES send them back, no thanks to Huntington. Then, I live overseas. Huntington locks me out of my account. Completely. Why? they won't tell me the reason only that I have to come in person to re-open my online account. Luckily that was the one month out of about 15 months that I was going back. Otherwise, sorry, I cannot access my money without taking a week off work for travel and a 2K ticket. THEN, I try to send some of my salary from overseas home. THREE #$%$$ more weeks, and they are holding my salary / sometimes don't see any wire transfer at all depending on the day I call them. I spent at LEAST 50 hours on the phone with these idiots over three months and as of yet not a single transaction -- Zelle, ACH transfer, Wire transfer -- could not be sent. I mean, I cannot imagine what the world would be like if everyone was this bad at their business.

My loan is with Huntington, it has been a disaster to get anything completed such as an easy transfer title. I have never in my entire life dealt with such a horrible experience. I am now going on 1 month of not having a simple title request sent from relocating. I have been given the run around each time that I have called. From the date of my first call to the date I called to follow up, they mailed my transfer title to themselves at another location. They have FAILED each time I have called to locate my title transfer that they mailed to themselves. Initially this was suppose to be a 2 week process as told to me on my first initial call. I am so disappointed with this institution, the blatant negligence by your staff is a huge disappointment. You are now affecting my life on a personal level because of your FAILURE to fix this problem. This is my first time I have ever left any company a review on BBB. As soon as I get the right opportunity to refinance my loan, I will with another financial institution.The Huntington National Bank

No stars, money regularly comes up missing from my account. I had to call three times to speak to a representative that would actually take me seriously. Two representatives told me they were going to file a dispute, when I spoke to the third representative... No disputes had been filed. Money missing from my account and I was told by the third representative, "If we can't see were the money is missing, We can't investigate the missing money. The second representative laughed at me, during our conversation. The third representative gave this conformation number: 0147805. This doesn't even look like the other conformation numbers. I don't feel safe going into the branch. What's really going on with this bank. I used to enjoy banking with this bank now, not even sure what bank to bank with after this because I'm done. It's like the bank has been over taken by hoodlums. I can't wait to leave this Bank. SMH.The Huntington National Bank

Negative stars! I told huntington I needed a loan quickly to get my business off the ground. It's been over a month of trying to get paperwork in to apply, because Nick roack won't call anyone back, hold appointments, or answer any questions in a reasonable time frame. Getting him on the phone is like ***** calling you with false hope. I'm absolutely frustrated that I gave them this much time.

I can’t give Huntington Bank enough GR8 reviews!!! My account was hacked . The thief overdrafted my account! I called as soon as I received the alert, The Rep ordered me a new card & started a dispute case . This was Thursday. My funds were deposited by Saturday! Thank you thank you thank you!! Huntington Bank has me forever!!! I highly recommend this bank!!!The Huntington National Bank

The bank advertises Mastercard Zero liability program on their debit card and master card ID theft protection yet, When my debit card was fraudulently used huntington refused to give me the money back until a few full investigation was done The fraud as over $5000 and made numerous store same day. None of these stores shop at. The transactions occurred on Sunday July 2nd and today is the 7th and I still have do not have my money back in my account now this completely wiped me out I have no money to pay rent my auto insurance is pendin cancelation. Negative stars! Run away as fast as you can! Representatives are rude nobody answers questions. The policy's are shady and the advertisement is all fake. They stole my money and made it impossible to use my account without spending hundreds of dollars. How can your account be in the negative when you havent spent a dime. Huntington bought my old bank one year ago. My old bank had graces with a checking account which I never bounced a check for years. Huntington promises to cover an overdraft up to 50 dollars and also graces they give are appealing. They say they’ll give me 200 dollars that I can borrow because I have direct deposit. Both of these “ so called” graces have been removed from my account for 3 months now within a year of business. I never bounced and had gotten reimbursed for fee’s always. Never have I paid overdraft fees ever…..I challenge them to investigate! Their loans are a joke also also. I figure if it works to the advantage of the consumer they’ll remove that from your account also, FAST! If you pay a balance off fast, it’s over and I mean it. Avoid this bank if you’re looking, ohh they email you constantly and talk about an annoying service even if you go to settings and turn them off! They suck. All my benies are gone and honestly people I have never owed them anything. CONSUMER BEWARE!The Huntington National Bank

When I was growing up, my Mom engrained it in me and my brother that Huntington was the bank that would always work with us, regardless of our circumstances. As long as we treated them right in return, they would help us find a way.
I have always believed that. When I became an author and was offered a better deal with banking through *** **** **********, I refused and would not give up on my Huntington. Recently, I have struggled miserably after having a health issue. It has placed me on permanent disability.
While struggling, I was so thankful for your option of the 'Stand By Cash'. I would only use it if I felt absolutely necessary and I always made payments larger & earlier. My account was always paid off early.
In later November 2023, times were very difficult with the increase in the economy. I had to make the difficult choice of filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I did not include anything with my bank account. I filed in March 31st, 2023. Since this date, my bankruptcy has been to court and settled and closed. (Docket ************).
Since I am now beginning again, I am getting things back in order. I called the customer service line and spoke to a very kind foreign woman. She said she would need to transfer me to Columbus number. I stated that I wanted to know if since the bankruptcy was now a closed issue, will I ever be able to have the option of the Stand By Cash at some point. She stated very CURTLY, "No. You will never be able to use this again."
I was shocked! This is how Huntington Bank treats its customers. I have always utilized the program with a respectful way. Regardless of my financial situation. It came first! Pull up my records! People always warned me about Huntington and I said "No. My Mom stated this...." Granted, that was 40 years ago. Even though it is CLEAR that I cannot wrack up a bill and file again! I have banks offering to finance for a car! Sad. I couldn't even get you, MY BANK to trust me for $100.The Huntington National Bank
