IRS refund direct deposited into my checking account and somewhere along the way the routing number gets changed, and the zero gets left off at the beginning of the routing number as well. This has happened for several years and the IRS, blames Huntington and Huntington blames the IRS. I speak to the IRS first and they confirmed that my routing number and account number are positively correct on my tax forms, and that is where they sent my refund. After many calls to Huntington Banks outsourced customer call centers I finally speak to a knowledgeable person. Huntington bank proceeds to tell me that it’s a completely different routing number and is rejected by the bank. I am aware that I am not the only one with this problem. Not one person at Huntington can explain why this is happening year after year. I’m leaving for another bank after many years with them. Over 20 years with them. Their credit card reward program did not give me points as it promised. I spoke with customer service several times for 3 weeks about it, but they failed to solve the problem. While the rep recognized the error, no correction was made, and she told me there would be a follow up call, which I have never received. I have been patient, but by now realized they probably have no intention to give me missing points. The bank does not meet the industry standard, especially customer service. It seems the bank spend so much on advertisements (I see everywhere), but in my opinion, they should allocate more budget on making better customer service (training, and additional on-line communication options).The Huntington National Bank

Huntington Bank offered me a standby cash line of credit, which I took by applying. At first I was happy with the standby cash line of credit, after a while I became unhappy with the standby cash line of credit. Huntington Bank started to change the terms of the standby cash line credit that they give me every month, and are still change the terms all the time. When I used the standby cash line credit, two times after using it, and have paid it back in full on time not miss a payment at all. I got a e-mail message that I have been suspended from using standby cash line credit for three months, because I used their product standby cash line credit. There for if you use Huntington standby cash line credit, they will suspended one for using the standby cash line credit if you use the credit, making it pointless to apply for this product. Well as every month I was get e-mails that Huntington Bank were changing the amounts of what I was able to take out for standby cash line credit. This was every month I was getting emails from Huntington Bank saying the amount was changing it wasn't just once, but every month. Along with the amount change Huntington Bank would say, you have not deposited enough this month in to checking, we are changing the amount of how much you can take out of standby cash line credit. So every month if I deposited a different amount, I got a different amount that was available amount in standby cash line credit. This make the standby cash line credit pointless for anyone to get. I been a customer with Huntington Bank for about 7 years, never have I been overdrawn a checking, savings, or line credit. This was the most ridiculous product for credit I have applied for in my life.The Huntington National Bank

We do not have any accounts,Thank God, with this institution, but we had a vehicle loan. The only thing this Bank did was send a payment book. We had no access to the loan account online or through mail. We were never sent any statements in the 6 years we had the account. When we places calls to them we had numerous responses to our questions. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing in this institution. We were wondering if these people actually work there. Does anyone actually work there? ?? I would not recommend use of this banking institution for a loan. I had to give this 1 star which is not deserved. Zero wasn't an option.The Huntington National Bank

I don’t understand banks in this day and age & if I can rate this bank a negative 10 stars, I would. Huntington is one is would NEVER recommend. Long story short, I opened up a new account and deposited a check all for them to tell me that the check i received from my employer is placed on a hold for a WEEK? I can see a couple of business days like any other bank but a WEEK? Customer service was NO help and I was treated as if I was committing fraud. Please do not bank with them.The Huntington National Bank

Had a loan that was about to be paid off. Work has been slow and wasn't able to make it on time (due date jan 13). Within a week had collections calling daily. This was going to be one of the last payments on the vehicle loan. Made a payment on Feb 9th 240.00 of the last 406.00 and they continued to take out the full 328 monthly payment out of my account on February 13 putting it negative. Called on the 13th to get things sorted out. They entered a reversal on the payment but since it is one of the last payments it got put on hold for a week. so now my account is negative and Huntington is not making the overpayment to my account until next week because of some 7-day hold. I understand things take time, but this is getting ridiculous. Luckly, I don't have children to care for or this would be a much bigger issue. This is not how things are supposed to work. Once I get this loan settled, I am going to be closing my account and won't forget to let everyone know not to use Huntington. This isn't even the first time i have had an issue with them either.The Huntington National Bank

I have been with Huntington Bank for 22yrs. I used to be so proud of their service, what they offered to customers, I would honestly recommend them to anyone. Unfortunately, they plummeted these last few years, BADLY. They play my account deposits and withdraws to try to hit me with fees. So my funds will show listed in pending on my account, then disappear, then reappear randomly days later causing issues. We are supposed to have 24hr overdraft protection, apparently I no longer get this privilege, for no reason. They will text message me, instantly one after another (anywhere between 2am-530am); one message stating that I was overdrafted, the immediate next that they took the money from my savings to cover it. So it seems 30sec is the new 24hrs. I have called in regards to this happening on another occasion, the employee I spoke to on the help line simply stated, "m'am, I see your issue, and you are correct, I'm not sure why CORPORATE decided to handle your account this way", they then offered no apologies and told me if should sort itself out by the end of the day. Thankfully it did, but I honestly think it's only because I called and called them out on it. Sucks that apparently "Corporate" can decide to do whatever they want with whoever's account against any of their own policies. They have become sketchy thieves. I had the same issue occur AGAIN today, and will be calling to complain AGAIN about them taking MY money against THEIR OWN banking rules. 24 hrs from an overdraft should genuinely be 24 hrs! It's not a hard concept to follow. I can easily say, without hesitation, that I would never, ever recommend this Bank to anyone, EVER.The Huntington National Bank

Only reason it’s one star is because zero is not an option.
Long story short. I just switched to Huntington bank 2 weeks ago. And received my tax refund there. I went to a Huntington free stand bank at the corner by my home. I took out $500 from my checking. It took the money from my account but I didn’t receive ANY money. Not even $20 out of my request. But again they took it out of my account. Now it’ll take up two 3 weeks to get my money back. What about my rent and stuff sue that I desperately need that $500 for. You can definitely say I’m angry and I’ll be switching banks again after I receive my money. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BANK TO ANYONE!!!The Huntington National Bank

My phone was stolen and my Cash app was open. I ran to my nearest Huntington bank to close my account but in doing so finding out in minutes $250,$250,$100,$100,$100 all of this occurred on December 6 2022. In 3 days Huntington helped me and put the $800 back into account. After a 3 week investigation they took that money back and told me I did authorized this payment. I reopened the case again and 2 weeks later saying I did authorized the payment and closed my case.The Huntington National Bank
