Transferred money from another bank, they placed a week hold on my money that cleared my other account days ago. Totally unwilling to help in any way, so I had no access to my own money for a week. Soon as this clears I will be closing my account.

I used a stand-alone ATM Huntington Bank ATM in Taylor, MI. The machine did not dispense my money so I called customer service and because I was not a Huntington Bank member they treated me as if my situation was not their problem. I went to the nearest Huntington Bank and the branch manager told me that they’re not responsible for that particular ATM and he get consumers calling and visiting this branch all the time about that ATM. He basically told me that there was nothing that he could do for me because I was not a member. I disputed the transaction with my financial institution and Huntington Bank responded by say that the machine balanced. I then went to several Huntington Bank branches looking for a Branch Manager to help me with my situation but because I wasn’t a member no one really cared. I finally wrote a letter to their corporate office and explaining the issue and a representative called me back a month later. I missed here call because I was at work. I called this lady and left voice messages several times a day asking her to return my calls. This went on for 18 days straight until I left her a message stating that I had contacted my attorney to handle the matter. SHE CALLED ME BACK THAT SAME DAY ONLY TO TELL ME THAT HUNTINGTON BANK HAS A HOTLINE JUST FOR ATMS AND SHE ALDO STATED THAT THE BRANCH MANAGER WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE CALLED AS SOON AS HE WAS MADE AWARE OF THE COMPLAINT. I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT HUNTINGTON BANK DOES NOT KEEP THE RECORDS FOR MORE THAN A MONTH SO THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOT RECORD OF ME EVER BEING THERE AT THAT ATM THAT DAY BUT I HAVE ALL OF MY PAPERWORK SHOWING THAT THE FUNDS WERE WITHDRAWN FROM MY ACCOUNT AND I SENT ALL OF MY PAPERWORK TO THEM….BUT THEY ARE SAYING THAT I WAS NEVER THERE. SO WITH THAT BEING SAID HUNTINGTON BANK TOOK MY $506.50 REFUSES TO REFUND MY MONEY. THE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME THAT BECAUSE I WAS NOT A HUNTINGTON BANK MEMBER THAT THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THAT SHE COULD DO FOR ME. WOW!!!

I filed a claim for fraud forged/missing endorsement or altered check claim back in early November. I've filed the requested affidavit, and I've been requested to resend it 6-7 times because they for whatever reason have not received it. I've even filed this form through my local Huntington bank, so they should be able to appropriately send the form. I've attempted to reach out to someone in corporate, but no one ever tries to call me back.

On 12/5/22 I had three items post to my account I did not recognize. I called Huntington and was connected to the fraud department. I asked that more information on these purchases be sent to me. I specifically stated I did not want to file a dispute. A dispute was filed anyway - without my knowledge or permission. I did not find this out until I was left stranded in line trying to pay for something, finding out my debit card had been closed also without my knowledge or permission. A fraud claim was completed on my account and I still have not received the additional information on the purchases I requested and was promised.

First they promote 2 day early direct deposit, but once you have an account they tell you you have to wait 90 days and I have Social Security. Then I keep getting messages that my accounts are.below $0 and they are not below $0. I call customer and they know nothing.

I deposited 2 checks. The bank showed the checks in my account and available, I proceeded to initiate several payments based on the information that the money was available. An hour later, and after one of the payments was posted on my account, I received an email stating the checks were now being held for a week. I called customer service, escalated to a supervisor and all I got was the same answer. There was nothing they could do. They needed a week to verify the checks and funds were available and valid. To the best of my knowledge, the fact that the funds were showing as available in my account should mean they had already electronically verified the funds. If they were going to put a hold on the checks they should never have shown them as being deposited and available. Now I will be responsible for overdraft fees and whatever fees from the various companies I made payments to and Huntington does not care. I thought Huntington was better than most other banking institutions but I was wrong. They will be collecting the interest on my funds while holding them and I will be paying I don't know how much in fees. Plus I won't be able to pay my rent on time as my paycheck will all go directly to the payments I initiated when the funds were showing as available.

They punish you for not being wealthy. My income has only gone up since I've opened this account about 10 years ago and every 6 months or so they lower the amount I'm able to borrow. I never Maxx my limit, my account is never overdrawn, always pay on time and pay it off before borrowing more. Because I used more of MY money one month than I did another, they immediately lowered my amount to a lousy $100. Wth? There was never an agreement that i had to keep a certain amount in my account on a regular basis to borrow money. I made a lot less at the time they offered to start lending me money and my limit to borrow was a lot higher. I didn't take advantage often, but when I did I paid it off quickly. If i had it to spend at the time, i wouldn't need to borrow. Stupid. Because I had to use my savings for an emergency once, they totally closed my savings account. Keep getting messages about how they'll give me this and that if I deposit $15,000 or more. Give me a break. The cost of living is getting higher and our incomes are not reflecting a change. Not everyone just has $15000 just laying around to deposit for a few toaster. To know my bank is there for me when I need them makes all the difference. But Huntington is only there for Huntington. Greed is all they stand for. I wasn't going to borrow more money, but when I got this message just before Christmas, it totally opened my eyes that I need a new bank that actually rewards me when I'm doing well. Like my credit cards do. Screw you Huntington. I have banned many companies in the last few years and I've taken my whole family with me. We'll ban you too.
