      Hello, I want to present this complaint. They closed my account for not wanting to pay $290. I travel in September to Las Vegas with spirit, roundtrip tickets purchased with my Huntington card.
      We returned on Sunday, my two children, one 16 and the other 6, had to go back to school because they were only allowed one week.
      The bank tells me that I made a purchase of other tickets from Las Vegas to Chicago with a stopover in Denver with the frontier company. Which I never bought.
      It is illogical that having my non-stop and cheaper tickets I have bought more expensive ones and also on a day when my children already had to show up at school and I had to go to work.
      I have the spirit tickets that prove that I traveled on Sunday morning and the letters from my children's schools and even so the bank says that I made that purchase. That is illogical that I, having my flights ready, have made such a purchase. The bank says that I investigate and closed my account. It is a bad bank, I really do not recommend it, they are a fraud

      I paid $3200 to my Huntington home equity from my Huntington bank account and the home equity department is stating I never paid the account. However the bank said they sent an email documenting that it came out of our account. This home equity loan has been a nightmare. I truly do not understand the disconnect. I feel like this bank stole our money.

      This bank does so many illegal things and the government lets them get away with it. They will change your balance 5 times in one day with no explanation. So you think you have a certain balance and then spend some money and before you know it your account is negative and they charge you fees. This bank is a scam....they don't even know what your real balance is. They just change it several times a day to trick you into thinking you have money when you don't so they can rack up fees. Stay away from this scam of a bank.

      I Do Not recommend this company. If one has an issue it is extremely difficult to get in touch using any method. Phone calls are met with hold times and misdirection of calls which lead to dropped calls which leads to calling again and starting from scratch. They confirm and verify your account and what department you are needing via recording to get you to the right department, then the person answering knows nothing of what department you wish to speak to. They offer a secure messaging in the online website, of which no one replies. If they are incapable of answering, they should not offer such a useless service serving no purpose. They offer a Chat of which only limited information can be obtained. This last time, I resorted to requesting a phone call from them. I received that phone call and was immediately placed on hold. I requested two issues be brought to the attention of the proper department but I am not sure if they know where those departments are located. Their online payment feature is incapable of correctly allocating that payment to interest or principal. One's online account contains erroneous information. When I finally was able to ask why, the reply was," it is correct in our transaction history" and "do you read your statements because those are correct" To the first, it does me no good for Huntington to have the correct information if that information is not available to me in my account. The second - Yes, I read my statements which is the reason I have had to call twice before with errors found on those statements. I am responsible for paying my loan. Statements come once a month. My online account supposedly contains up to the date information. Not so. Their online site states bankers can be reached via phone between the hours of 7am-8pm ET, yet when called at 7am ET, I am told they are unavailable until 8am ET. I am constantly in a questioning process with this company. Nothing, either stated or written, is as it seems.

Do not directly email BBB further information about this matter.You may communicate further directly on your own with the company about this matter." You contradict yourself stating you will be in contact with me and then stating for me to contact you. My review was not a complaint nor did I ask for a resolution. I question your reasoning to not directly email the BBB further information concerning this matter. I submitted my review through the BBB platform and you chose to respond via the BBB. If you wish to contact me again, do so through the BBB. I will not be contacting your company as it has proved fruitless and a waste of my time in the past. Thank you for your time.

      Im extremely disappointed with Huntington. I used them to get my SBA loan and there customer service started off great but once approved, its been a nightmare.They make it so hard to get the money Im Already approved for. Ill never use them Again.Head my warning, use another bank, my fellow business owners are way happier with the banks they chose over my experience.The three other business owners that I know who used Huntington are having the exact terrible experience I am. Trust me, go with another bank and save yourselves the stress and anxiety.

      Absolute WORST company to have an auto loan with. First month of my payments I set up autopay was I was double charged. I called in and asked if I needed to be refunded or if the payment could just be applied to the following month. They said it would be applied. Next month rolls around, charged again. I call yet again and am told it can't be refunded to the account on file, a check will be sent. Okay. Now here we are in November, I'm getting calls saying my payment is late when auto pay is on. First customer service agent, ******, disconnects the chat for no reason after I wait 20 minutes. Second agent tells me I called in and told them to cancel my November payment because "I didnt want it coming out soon" which 100% NEVER HAPPENED. So Huntington employees are canceling payments without customer authorization. They also added a prior employers work phone number to my account without my authorization. I did not even work for this company when I bought the car. There is no reason for it to be there and I got no explanation as to why it was there. If you have a choice, use literally ANY other bank.

      Huntington Bank is THE WORST bank in the world. Their customer service is poor to non-existent. I called about a charge for $12.29 and in order for me to dispute that charge they had to put a stop on my card and issue me a new one. I told the *** NOT to do that and that I would just "eat" the charge as my whole life was run on that card. INSTEAD the *** did exactly what SHE wanted to do and put a stop on my card anywhay and issued me a new one. I purchased an item on the old card that I needed to return, but the company would only credit the card I purchased it on which was now stopped by the *** even tho I asked her NOT TO. Now I'm in a pickle and cannot return the items I need to return and have to "eat" that charge of $30.36. Again, I have to say this bank has the WORST customer service that doesn't listen to the customer whatsoever!

      I had an account with TCF that was transitioned to Huntington after they bought out TCF bank. I do not check this account often (it has a small amount of money compared to my account in ***** Fargo) and just noticed a monthly $40 fee. So despite the fact that maybe they did send letters saying they were going to do this I feel this is not good business practice to move someone from an account that has no fees to one that has a monthly $40 fee. I am going to close out my account at Huntington, will not be recommending Huntington to any of my business colleagues, and will definitely be doing any business with them in the future.

      Huntington National Bank on Highschool Rd in ************ has a manager named ***** that isnt the least bit concerned with keeping business for this location or helping resolve issues that they create. Dealing with him reminds me why I moved from ******* years ago. I also moved my Uncle years ago to take care of him because the way he was living was awful and this is the thanks I get from his financial institution that hes supported all these years! This location is pathetic and I warn you to never go here.

      11/15/2022 If I could give 0 stars I certainly would. I deposited a check with my new company and was told the funds would be available next day. When they werent available I called and was told that my check was placed on hold (a new company/check- ok understandable) but they held the check and froze my entire account, told me funds would be available the following week (an entire week of hold?!). The funds were not available the next week and they blocked ALL ACCESS from me being able to log into my online banking or even over the automated phone. I called the day they said Id have funds and was told that the check was considered counterfeit and my acct was closed. I contacted my HR immediately and they confirmed the check was CASHED AND CLEARED the day after I deposited it (Nov 9, 2022) My HR also confirmed that no one from Huntington contacted them to verify the check. After hours of calls, I ended up going to the branch with all documentation- the manager made calls to the hold team to find answers. She even had to hang up on one of the call center reps because she was so combative explaining why they werent releasing my funds (that says a lot in itself). No one was able to provide a time frame on when the funds would be released, I am just being told that its been escalated. It is very disturbing that they blocked all access to my account and I am not able to see transactions-I feel as though I am being robbed, considering the check cleared w/ my companies bank, yet they are holding my funds. I subsequently had to get a pay-day loan in order to pay some bills because of this, setting me further back. I was given 5 different answers to the same question over this time, its been over a week and I still do not have my funds. THEY ARE CROOKS at this bank and I feel as though they should be investigated thoroughly.
