      Where do I even begin.... Ordered a couch in mid September 2023 for over two grand. No problem was told it would arrive December 1st. Annoying but understandable there has been a ton of delays with deliveries. I scheduled to take time off and was ready for the delivery. About a week before I received a call the delivery would be delayed to December 27th as they have not yet received the couch?? I requested more information and was told there was nothing else available there was just delays in shipments that were unforeseen. Confusing because they were the ones who provided the original delivery date. On December 22nd I got a voicemail that said the earliest my couch could be delivered now was January 16th. Almost 4 months after I had paid upfront for this couch. I called customer service and asked what the issue was and if there was any guarantee they can confirm the couch would be delivered January 16th considering I have now received 3 dates for the same delivery. The customer service representative told me they cannot guarantee it. I asked if they could do anything - waive the delivery fee or anything. She explained there would be nothing to be done until the delivery happened. She said I had two options- to wait until January 16th or received a refund. I elected the refund as I had a feeling this would be further delayed and I do not think it is right for them to continue to string people along considering they had no issues collecting payment upfront. I was able to get a couch same day almost identical to the one I was going to purchase from Value City at half the price. I recommend others do the same as there is so many cases like mine you can read about here and in other websites.

      It's not VERY professional for a delivery driver to show up drunk at 7.40am when we received a text with ETA 9.20-9.50. We had to refuse the replacement piece because of the marking on it due to the furniture being hit against the door frame.
      This company DOES NOT care about customer service!!!

      I paid for and ordered a recliner sofa and 2 matching recliners from Value City Furniture in Mentor, Ohio. The salesperson promised they had our recliners in their warehouse and the furniture would be delivered the next week. This was in November. The delivery date has been pushed back from Dec 18 to Dec 26. Then they called and pushed it back to Jan 2 or Jan 9. Now just called again and pushed it back to late February. I called to complain and the person said basically too bad bc we are put in line and the minute we left the store others could already be placed ahead of us in line for the furniture! I feel the store is allowing staff to deceive consumers for a sale. Our sole purpose for buying from them is that they promised the furnitures delivery date. We would’ve gone with the local ****** ***** except they were honest and said they couldn’t deliver furniture until January.

      I ordered a sectional for $3500 through value city and have yet to receive the entire couch. Cushions were delivered incorrectly and then redelivered incorrectly four to five times. The amount of time I’ve been on hold and talked to customer care is a full time job. They think it’s a luxury to get what you paid for and their resolutions department essentially offered me the value of a coupon code in value to the problems I faced. I kid you not, I was on the phone with them every evening for weeks trying to get this sorted and everyone I talked to said I needed to talk to someone else. You won’t get what you paid for or even bought and it’s a fraudulent company. Worst experience I’ve ever had.

      This Company is a SCAM!!!!! Purchased a 3 piece sectional mid August and was told it was in stock and would be delivered on Sept. 27th (WAS NEVER TOLD THIS IS A TENTATIVE DATE!). They called a few days before to let us know it would be another week, Oct. 4th (AGAIN never told tentative). On October 4th, no call so we called them! The sectional was then NOT available until NOVEMBER 21st!?!? November 21st, no call again, they say its not available till Dec. 11th..... We get a call a few days before, it's now Dec. 22nd. Got a call two days ago to confirm delivery.... Got a call today to inform us the sectional has a new TENTATIVE delivery of Dec. 30th!?!?!
      This company is a SCAM! They will take your money and do not deliver (LITERALLY).
      The customer service is a ZERO! They are annoyed and have an attitude the minute they answer the phone. When you tell them this they will let you know that they're not raising their voice. You don't have to yell to have attitude... The won't let you finish your sentence and will interrupt when they see fit. When you get upset over this, they'll let you know that raising your voice is not an adult conversation. Neither is constantly interrupting me and not letting me ask a question just to repeat yourself for the 100th time. FOUR months and no end in site. You pay them to be the liaison between you and manufacturer, but they do NOTHING. They tell you that "that's not how it works" or "that's our company policy" for every question or statement you have. If you cant even tell me if my furniture has been made, you aren't doing what I'm literally paying you to do!
      DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!

      I am a senior citizen and have purchased a lot of furniture in my lifetime. This has been the most horrible experience for me - I purchase a $4000.00 sectional in July which was delivered Aug. 31st, when it arrived a part of the sectional was broken, so they took it back for a replacement. The replacement came and that was broken also (looked like they just sent the same broken piece back).. So now we are awaiting the third replacement which will not be until some time in January. On top of all this, feathers are now coming out of the cushions!! I have call several times to speak to a sale manager - their response is "He is behind closed doors" but will leave a message for him to call. Actually, I have gotten that answer just about every time i call. My next step will be going to Bear, DE in person and will not leave until I see the manager!! And, of course, will never buy from Value City Furniture again!!

      Don't Buy from this store. Bought a couch and loveseat for our formal living room . It is an off white so the chance of getting dirty could happen, however we did not mind the color because we never sit in there it was for show as we spend all our time in the family room. After having for one month my fiance said look the fabric is turning black on the seat cushions back cushions along the front sides and back of both pieces. We called several times about the issue and got disconnected every time finally we did get through and explained the issue. They said we must have spilled something on them for it to that kind of damage. Long story short as i said we never sit in that room no pets no smoking, house is 3 months old so no roof leaks either. So you tell me where all these stains came from. They finally set a tech out check out the damage he took several pictures and said he could not believe what he saw, said he never saw anything like it. Told us we would definitely get a replacement. @ weeks went buy never heard anything so finally got a hold of them yesterday the girl was very rude and insisted we spilled something on them. I told her we will see them in court. I would never do business with those people again.
      My advice is STAY AWAY I wish I could leave a 0 because 1 is 1 more then they deserve.

      Don't shop here. Ordered a couch online. They confirmed delivery would take place the following week. That date came and went. When I called to ask them the status they stated I needed to confirm delivery, but how could I do that when you didn't text, call or email me. Following week we setup a delivery date. They called, we confirmed then they said we would reach out the day before delivery to advise on timing. Received the timing call that our delivery window would be between 2-4pm. Great! Received a call a few hours later stating delivery was canceled and they would have to postpone for 3 months as couch is on back order. How does this even happen. Reaching out to high level managers regarding my frustration and requesting a credit.

      A simple ******** and or ****** search of this company will tell you everything you need to know: DO NOT SHOP HERE! How they have that current A+ rating here, I will never know. They will bill you immediately, but you'll be lucky to receive your order within several months, if at all. Even then, you'll be luckier if it is correct or in good shape. I repeat, DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!
