      Hands down worst buying experience I ever had late for one drivers ruined furniture for 2 3 they said I can pick up but when I did unavailable .

      VCF will offer a 5 year "Pure Promise" Furniture Protection Plan but the sales office never stated at the time of purchase that if you don't use the plan that it is the RESPONSIBILITY of the customer to remember 5 years LATER the actual date of the expiration of the plan. I was not aware of this and was told by the VCF store in New Carrollton, Md that my plan expired in November 2022 so I have to forfeit my credit for the plan of $348.00. I stated to their supervisor of the Corporate Office that this is UNFAIR and UNREASONABLE for a customer to remember 5 years later the actual date. She just expressed her apology but stated my credit is NO LONGER VALID. I stated that I am quite sure that MANY customers have loss their credit under the same conditions. I am a 60 year old woman that even a younger person would not remember 5 years later the purchase date to make their claim. VFC should be PROMOTING good customer service by simply sending an email or text to notify their customer of the expiration date in order to give them the opportunity to utilize it. It appears that VCF is banking on the fact the many customers will FORGET the date and have to FORFEIT their credit. BUYER BEWARE, you too could also lose your credit if you don't write in your calendar 5 years later the date of purchase. SHAME ON YOU VCF.

      I purchased a couch 3 months ago from Value City and it still has not been delivered. I have never experienced this while buying furniture and I’m very disappointed. They had given me dates for when it would be delivered but has changed 3 times now. I am continuously waiting for it to be shipped. Value City has given me a hard time and has taken my money without anything in return. This is the worst experience I have ever had and I do not recommend anyone to place an order if it is not guaranteed.

      Purchased a dinning room table and then the 8 matching chairs a few weeks later once I had the money. The 8 chairs were purchased on 6/9 and were said to possibly be at the store on 6/13 but no date was explicitly promised at that time. I received a call around 6/20 that my chairs should be arriving at the store on 7/5. I was ok waiting as I did not need the chairs just yet. On 7/5 I received a call and was told that the truck arrived without the chairs onboard and that they would be arriving on the next shipment 7/12. I called on 7/11 to confirm that my chairs were arriving and I was told they were again delayed to 7/19. I called again on the 7/18 and was told they were delayed to 7/20. On 7/20 I was informed that they were delayed to the 7/26. Numerous calls to customer service kept providing me with the same excuse that they have computer/shipping system issues. I kept elevating the issue to the next representative and supervisor to get some sort of action or resolution but no actual solution was provided. This lack of action and effort to even try to solve or look into my issues was very disappointing. Every interaction was apologetic but ultimately came down to implying "it is what it is", "we cant do anything about it", and "we aren't going to try". Corporate representatives have also been little to no help. The repeated excuse that they were not loaded on the truck and did not arrive due to computer issues is understandable but when I asked if they could call and speak to whoever is responsible for loading the the truck and shipments to make sure my chairs arrive on the next shipment I was told, "that's not possible". No action is taken and there is no evidence of VCF holding themselves accountable for the benefit of the next customer. They have only continued to offer excuses. As of 7/27 my chairs are now delayed until 8/10 but I have no faith that they will arrive then.

      I purchased an electric reclining loveseat in April and by July one of the motors has already broken. This would normally be fine as things happen and I knew it would be covered by the warranty. I assumed this would be a relatively simple process, this is where I was wrong. I called them requesting they send out a technician to take a look at it, as it it only 3 months old and still under warranty. They told me they would put the request it and they would call me within 48 hours to schedule. The following I received a call informing me that the warehouse had canceled my service because I did not get the couch delivered??? I was obviously confused. I had them clarify and they informed me that if I pick up the couch myself then I have to bring it in for any service, but if I would have gotten it delivered then they would send out a tech to my house. This didn't make sense so I requested a manager give me a call back to explain. After a few hours of waiting I received a call from the manager that confirmed this is their policy. They then tried to sell me on the delivery after the fact so that they could send out a technician. You read that correctly they asked me to purchase a delivery for an item that was already in my house so that they could send out someone to fix a couch that was 3 months old. I will never give this place any business ever again and I suggest you do the same.

      I purchased a new kitchen set with matching bar stools for my kitchen island on May 5th. The table and chairs were delivered on May 16th. I was told I would receive my bar stools June 28th. I checked my order several time on the website and noticed the date changed to June 20th. On June 19th I checked the status for my bar stools and the date was completely gone. I then called customer service. After several call I was told they did not know when my bar stools would be in but I will receive a call once they have arrived at the store. I received a call that my merchandise was available while I was in Miami July 6th on vacation. I was told the stools had arrived and I could pick the up. I informed them that I was out of town and I would be there to pick my chairs up when I returned. I went to the store to pick up my stools and they were nowhere to be found. At this time they will re order the stools but do not know when they will be in. Blaming this all on a change with the system for inventory. I then requested my money back for everything. They scheduled a date to pick up the table and chairs July 14. By July 24th I still did not receive a refund after calling corporate I was told a refund was never issued and that they were issuing it. I explained this was unexceptable and at this point you have my money return the table. This furniture store is horrible and I do not recommend anyone purchasing furniture from this store. The salesperson at the store were rude as well as customer service who someone could not seem to transfer me to a team lead.

      Completely and utterly dissatisfied and disgusted! I spent over $10k on their Designer Looks collection when I purchased a 6-piece sectional set, 6-piece king bedroom set, and an additional night stand on 26-Jun-2023. After I ordered, the delivery date for all furniture was supposed to be on 15-Jul-2023. On 12-Jul I received a phone call stating everything was pushed back to 22-Jul. I asked why am I just now being notified of this and was told initially, the items just weren't available yet. I called back the next day and was then told by customer care, that their logistics system was recently updated and it is not pushing out the correct dates. I said fine and accepted the new delivery date of 22-Jul. On 19-Jul I received a call to confirm my delivery and was on the phone for over an hour because apparently my bedroom set was now showing a back order date of 30-September-2023. I was furious. Not to mention I was put on hold and hung up on twice. After calling back for the 2nd time I told the rep to cancel my bedroom set because there is no way I was going to wait another 2MONTHS for bedroom furniture. I was told it was cancelled and that my sectional set was still on track for 22-Jul. On 21-Jul I received a confirmation for my delivery and noticed the sectional was listed in the WRONG COLOR. I ordered the set in IVORY and it was listed as GRAY on the delivery confirmation. I called customer care ONCE AGAIN, and was told when they modified my order on 19-Jul to remove the bedroom set, my sectional was changed from IVORY to GRAY and there was no way to fix it in order to get it to me on 22-Jul. I told them to cancel the order and refund all my money. I was infuriated and completely over this entire experience with this incompetent company and their employees.
      I am an active duty Sailor who just recently got off deployment and bought my first home. I was so excited to furnish and get my home together. VCF has made this experience an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!!

      Terrible place. We ordered $6k worth of living room furniture on May 25th (2023). They tell us in the store it can't be delivered until June 29th, which was disappointing but fine. On June 27th received multiple emails and phone calls the delivery was confirmed. One June 28th they call and say their 'computer system' went down and they can't deliver until July 12th. On July 11th they call again and push out the delivery date until July 19th. Keep in mind we cleared out our living room furniture because if you don't have a 'cleared out' room they charge you $150 and will not set up the furniture. When I call the store, the sales associate apologizes but says there is nothing she can do except waive the delivery fee. On July 19th, three guys come in wearing shoes, set up 2 (of the 3) piece furniture set and say they don't know where the third matching piece is ($600 ottoman). I call the store and a very rude sales associate says the manufacturer doesn't 'have it' and she doesn't know when it will come in.
      On top of all of this the color of the couch is not the same as one we sat on in the store, it's a sad, drab cream color, nothing close to the bright white cream we sat on.
      Terrible, terrible place, don't waste your time or money.

      I purchased a sectional with 2 ottomans and a round table with 4 chairs in April. First, my delivery dates was pushed back 3 different times. My 9 piece sectional had to downgrade to a 7 piece due to 2 of the ottomans being discontinued. So on June 16th when all furniture is to be delivered the delivery guys discovered one of the Otterman wheels were broke so i had to schedule a tech to come out and repair only for the tech to FINALLY come to my home only to tell me the wheels have to be ordered and will be shipped to my home. With no follow up or mention about my base to a kitchen table sate that has literally been sitting in boxes in my kitchen since June 16th. I made several calls to the local value city stores here in Toledo and the corporate office and got nothing but excesses and runaround. Today I had to call corporate and the local VCF again to complain about the service and to inquiry about my base. I was told they are coming to bring my base Thursday hopefully i get this resolve before i go into month 2 waiting for furniture I already paid for. Due to this I was canceled an 11 item order I had plan on paying off July 30th. I feel bad for the representative that would have made a nice commission off my potential sale of the 11 items. I just can afford another experience with poor communication and horrible customer service. I will NEVER in life purchase or recommend anyone shop with VCF. Someone at the top of this chain needs to do a bit of business analytics and see where they are dropping the ball. The business is not providing its customers with the care we deserve.

      Very angry that I paid for a sofa june 12th and it has been canceled 3 times stating it’s not on truck and given excuse after excuse! Meanwhile no sofa in my home after 5 weeks. All I get are excuses! Don’t think I’ll be coming back to shop here. Bobs Furniture delivered my bedroom set after 24 hours after purchase. Should have gotten sofa from them as well. Never again will I shop VCF.
