Buyer Beware! I purchased a leather sectional from this store and bought the 5 year protection plan because I was told by the sales person that it covered everything on the sectional. I have now had the service repair technicians out at least twice and they have not done anything at all to resolve the issues. I went into the store to see the Manager (Mark) and he told me that there is nothing that they can do and I am just basically out of luck with the purchase of the sectional and warranty. Now we have a very expensive piece of furniture that we do not even use and the Company will not stand behind their product or the promises that they make to get you to buy their product. Horrible experience all the way around with no resolution.American Signature Inc.

I purchased a lift chair from Value City in St. Ann for my mom who is recovering from a serious illness. I paid $169 to have it delivered to her home. The floor sample of the chair in the store was comfortable, but the one delivered to us was very hard and my mom couldn't sit in it. I reached out to the store to return it. They told me I would lose my delivery cost, which I knew. But then told me I would have to pay a restocking fee of around $115 which was not explained to me on the day of purchase. Then they told me I would have to take it back to their warehouse on Chippewa, or pay an additional $169 to have it picked up. The cost of the chair is $699. I would lose close to $500 to return a chair. Needless to say, I will destroy my Value City/********* credit card and never buy from them again. This is the worst customer care I have ever received from a store. I HIGHLY encourage consumers not to purchase from Value City. They are not into customer care and will drain your wallet. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR SERVICE. Because of this, they don't deserve a star.American Signature Inc.

I recently bought living room furniture. I set it up as a pick and proceeded to do so. Upon unboxing of the item I found the loveseat was not the right one. I called the store and they said I would have to return the loveseat myself and pick another one up. After picking the new one up I noticed when unpacking that the wiring harness was damaged and called the store. Manager said they would order new parts or new back to loveseat and re-write my contract taking some money off, which I was fine with. However, I have called, emailed at least 5 times since 4/4 with no response to either method of communication. I’m still in possession of a defective loveseat that cannot be used, no one is replying to me and I do not believe that I should be responsible for loading and returning defective furniture for a 3rd time.American Signature Inc.

I purchased 8 piece bedroom set, 3 piece sofa set and 8 piece dinning set. Less than 2 years the sofas didn’t hold and leather looked horrible. The dinning room table was supposed to made of wood but didn’t seem be the case. The bedroom furniture was damage in so many places they repaired and used bad filler and paint. I called the warranty department created a claim and they closed it. I created 10 more claims and provided videos and pictures. I spoke with several managers and no response. Beware of value city. Keep your money and go else where. I spent over $20,000 and still no resolution. I wish I could post picture and videos and receipts. I purchased in 2021 and it didn’t last.American Signature Inc.

I purchased my furniture in 2019 from this store and they gave me a warranty that doesn't cover to much. I reach out to the store and the warranty company. Both told me that they couldn't help me. I brought 6 chairs and one is broken and I can't get this fix. I'm upset very frustrated, and this company is making ppl pay for warranties and u can't use it unless u have a stain. We cash purchased a large chair at Value City Furniture # ***, Utica, MI 3/9/2023 and scheduled a pickup for 3/28/2023. We were informed that pickup times is between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm. We arrived 5ish. My husband was told our chair was at another location which about 15 minutes away. We drove there and the associate their informed us that our item was at #*** where had just came from and that he would stay there until we arrived. So we returned and our chair had been sitting there the whole time. I and asked and requested compensation for (his) mistake, resulting in us driving back and forth. We chose to pick up to absorb delivery cost. This experience is why we really didn't desire to purchase from Value City because the is ALWAYS some form of an issue.
His explanation was, we purchased items several years ago, our address is where the other store delivery base....? He also look under my husband's phone number only. The other store immediately as if there was another number it could be under, which it was under my phone number, but the account is under my husband's name. He was unapologetic and said the manager

Bought a 1300 dollar sectional in march of 2022. 3 months later, the couch is already broken on one side. You cant even sit on it the base caved in. We werent doing summersalts and jumping jacks on it. Call them in October 2022. Call back in November 2022 becase no one ever returned our call. Since we are under warranty someone was sent out for repairs. He said he had to order parts. We never hear from Value city furniture again until we call in Febuary 2023. Still no parts. Get the run around for months and months. April 2023 they finally send someone out to fix the couch. He comes and brings three couch cushions and says that's the only parts they had sent. Couch is still not fixed. I took a day off work for him to bring 3 couch cusions that I cant even use. These people say theyll call you back over and over. I have not omce recived a call back out of the 15 times was told I would be called back. I just want these people to come and get this couch out of my house and give me my money back. I havent been able to sit on one side of my sectional since last year. Do you hear how crazy that is? I honestly don't know what else to do. They still have not called me back since the repairman came out without all the parts. Please just give me my money back and I'll never buy another piece of furniture from this company again. I've never dealt with a company that so blatantly did not care about the customer. I got a warranty for a reason. And I still don't have a functional couch over year later.American Signature Inc.

I have nothing but a WONDERFUL experience at the ** ***** ** location and my salesman was Zach. I went in and purchased a living room set almost 2 weeks ago., The first set was delivered Tuesday however it was too big to fit in my door. So they had to take it back. Zach called me first thing the next morning and told me what my options were. I went back to the store that day, and selectied a different set. Well, it was delivered today and it fit through the front door. However with the additional chase lounge it was too big for the space. Zach had already called me an hour before to make sure it came and everything was good.. I said it through the door I’m setting it up now. And then I had to call him back to explain it wasn’t gonna work. Not only was he amazing. They are coming out Thursday to exchange two of the pieces for one corner piece., I have not always been a big fan of value city furniture is customer service, but my experiences with him have totally changed that. I recommend anyone looking for an amazing customer service rep and not wanting.to be upsold to go see Zach.American Signature Inc.

Horrible!! Our furniture broke after 2 months they came out to asses the situation and said it would be at least 8 weeks to get it fixed we waited almost 4 months before anything happened I called and they said it couldn’t be fixed and the couch was discontinued so we could get a brand new couch with a gift card I said ok we went to pick out a new set and they said we would have to return the broken one before we got a new one which we were never told so we had ended up not getting the set we walked around for 2 hrs looking it’s horrible customer service! They even admitted the associate was wrong in what she told us absolutely ridiculous!!!!!American Signature Inc.
