I purchased a faulty table and chair set . My marble table was changing colors and even with the top laminate, it could not withstand a small drop of liquid without staining. I purchased a five year warranty when I file my claim it was denied saying that the claim wasn’t reported in enough time, and I specifically mentioned in my claim that I did not know when the damage took place. So when I file my claim, I knew that I purchased my item over 60 days ago and stated that I read my warranty and it says that my product was covered for five years. If the material was faulty. not only was the material faulty, but I had several family members with the same table that also complaint of the table having discoloration and could not withstand water or any type of liquid please help. Pure promise warranty service is not honoring the warranty. pure promise is ripping people off by way of value city furniture..American Signature Inc.

I got a reclining sofa in June 2022 for my new home. In September as moved in and I started to use it.In January I noticed some issue and called them in February about a fabric and sewing issue . I also bought extra warranty . Finally a service came and said I should receive a call in the next 5 days . Nothing I emailed them : they apologized and said they will be in touch in the next 2 or 3 days. Still nothing . So after 1 month I am very disappointed. I want them to change the sofa because the fabric makes balls like an old fabrics .and it just my husband and I at home , no pet no kids .They are not professional at all!!!American Signature Inc.

I went to buy a new mattress for my bedroom set. My husband is a heavy man. At least 400lb. We explained that we needed strong support. We was taken instead. I was sold a pillow top mattress with Massage and lyft. My husband's side has Sunk in already just of 2 years. We was told to buy top mattress but we can't free the message. I've wasn't Explain the protocol of returning the mattress they come out and measure your mattress & no matter how un comfortable the mattress is thier never will exchange it. We was told if it didn't Hold up it will be replace. No question asked with the service warranty. My husband & I spent 2701.49 for a mattress that didn't last with a expensive warranty & We was told to Rotate the mattress for me to be uncomfortable now.
So disappointment ?? I will never buy anything from Value City Furniture. I knew when I called the customer service that I was not gonna have any support.American Signature Inc.

This company sells a warranty but fails to tell the customer it is their responsibility to call to get their money back. So when you call after you think you have given the plenty of time to send you the refund they then decide to inform you that , Oh you called to late you are not entitled to the $500. This company to me is a SCAM and just think how many other people they keep $500 from.American Signature Inc.

If I could have given 0 stars, I would have. We purchased two sofas at the end of 2021 and we purchased the 5 year warranty. Well, one of our sofas are damaged so we called in to file a claim. We were told to take pictures and send them in so we did. We received a call asking to "video chat'' so they could see the extent of the damage rather than sending a representative out to verify the damage. After many calls back and forth, Value City decided to replace the sofa and told us that they would be in touch to iron out the details. After not hearing anything for a month, we followed up with them to be told that the sofa is no longer available and instead of replacing said sofa or refunding us, they will give us a $500 credit instead. We paid almost 3 times that plus the cost of the warranty. We have purchased many furniture items in the past and we have never had this happen until now. It is such a shame that they treat their customers this way.American Signature Inc.

This company is just awful. I bought a sofa with them in 2019 and bought a 5-year warranty with it thinking it would make my life easier if anything happens to the sofa I can go through the warranty. Three years later, a section of the sofa broke and I contacted VCF and was directed to use their third-party warranty company. No problem, I went through all the hoops and filed a claim with the warranty company which later was approved and a replacement part was authorized. Here is where the problem came: I was supposed to be contacted by the store about the replacement and no one contacted me. I later found out the store I bought the sofa from was permanently closed, so I called their corporate. Corporate told me that VCF can only take care of the sofa for one year (no one told me this nor was this in any document when I bought the sofa or the warranty!) and that they had discontinued the sofa so they can't help. VCF told me to go through their third-party warranty company directly because this is no longer VCF's problem. I understand that they contracted their warranty out but that's their contract and the fact that VCF refused to work with their customer and help navigate through a warranty replacement is just ridiculous. I will never buy anything at VCF again myself and I advise others not to unless you want to deal with terrible/no customer service afterwards.American Signature Inc.

purchased two sofas from value city in Virginia Beach in 2018. We have since come across some issues with the structure of the sofa (broken wood in the seating structure, and the reclining handle breaking) as well as the leather started to peel and tear. When we purchased the sofas, we also purchased their extended warranty(Uniters) that was good for 5 years. we have since made several claims for the sofas for the issues we've had and we continued to get denied. Ive read the policy through and through and based on our claims, there should be NO ISSUE with accepting the claim. however, they continue to deny the claim and send a representative out to look at, repair or replace the broken sofas. I will NEVER purchase from Value City ever again and I most certainly will NEVER use a warranty service from them.American Signature Inc.

This company deserves zero stars, however, it makes me choose at least one. I had a similar experience to Dixie M. Bought a bedroom set with delivery and set up in August 2022. Today is February 2, 2023, and I finally got the damaged furniture replaced. Everyone I interacted with from the delivery people to the repair people to the managers at several local locations, was all completely incompetent. No one kept records of any issues we were filing and so each time we contacted someone, we had to start the explanation all over again. I was told on several occasions on phone calls that I was speaking with a manager, but I was never allowed to see these managers in person when I would show up at the store. One salesperson told me they don't even have a manager by that name. I will never shop there again. I don't know how they stay in business. They seem lower priced, but it must be high above what they pay, indicating the quality is very low. Not worth it at all.American Signature Inc.
