Arnez Lloyd (manager store 059) was more than amazing today!! He went above and beyond to assist me with my issue. He was very polite, friendly and professional. Ordered our sectional February 2022. Sectional delivered July 2022, it was delivered with a broken piece, an ottoman with a mark on it, and casters that fall off.
After a MONTH of phone calls, and one failed attempt of them fixing the broken piece, they finally agree to order a new piece.
We wait until this week, the new piece supposedly comes in.
I cancel my morning plans, stay home, and await delivery, after calling store and confirming that my new piece would be on the truck.
Truck shows up, no new piece on it.
Call VCF, they "have no idea how this happened.", and have to call me back tomorrow to reschedule delivery.

Is zero stars an option? I truly wish I would have listened to the warnings about this company. We purchased furniture on Nov. 22nd with everything short of a guaranteed delivery date of Dec. 14th. I received a delivery confirmation via email and two phone calls confirming the date and time. The DAY BEFORE the furniture was set to be delivered I got a call saying the items actually weren't in stock and MAY be by Dec. 28th. What type of company tells you that the items you are purchasing are in stock, confirms delivery, but then decides they actually don't have what you paid $1000s for? This company is honestly an utter disgrace and should truly not be allowed to continue making orders they clearly can't fulfill. I understand supply chain constraints, but this has been going on for years - way before any of those issues played a factor. I called the store to request my money back and was placed on hold for over 15 minutes & once I finally got through to a manager they didn't even offer a resolution, or to try and find the location of the items I purchased. Whatever you do, DO NOT give Value City your time, money, or business.American Signature Inc.

We contacted customer service to come out and look at our mattress that is under warranty. The tech came out and apparently wrote on the report that the mattress was stained. Our mattress is dark grey and the mattress has a mattress cover purchased from the store and there are no stains on either product. We contacted customer service once more and asked for another rep to come out. They sent out the same rep who stated that he never wrote that on his report. The rep does not speak English yet magically his report is in English and no stains appeared this time. He informed my husband that his manager writes the report for him. The rep took measurements and could clearly see that there was an indentation in our mattress that continues to cause us back pain. When we reached out to customer service now, they said the rep wrote that the mattress is up to manufacturer standards and there are no stains on the report. We have tried to reach someone but now they are shifting blame to the store where we purchased the mattress from. All we want is to be able to sleep in a mattress that is worth more than 5K . This is the treatment a customer gets ?> Mind you we have purchased a bedroom set recently almost worth 4K ,.... SOMEONE PLEASE HELPAmerican Signature Inc.

He answered all our questions and was there all the way through the delivery process. We would buy from him again. Thank you so much for the beautiful living room set. 1 starI ordered what was supposed to be a brand new sectional couch. When we brought the couch home and opened it we could tell there were many problems with each piece of furniture. We could see worn edges through the bag, repaired areas on every piece, tags all ripped off, legs hanging off the side, and many more issues. When you pay close to $2,000 for a couch you expect a new product that will last a long time. Upon calling the store the customer service agent told us we would have to bring the couch back and have them service it or pay a 15% restocking fee. No fee is mentioned beforehand or posted around payment area. Only on the back of your receipt. I felt duped because I specifically asked my salesman if we would be getting a new product. I finally got all my money back after a screaming match with the store manager and him getting in our face, with other employees coming to break it up and send him away. This was after calling for 2 days trying to get ahold of him or someone at all. At one point the store wouldn’t answer the phone for 2 hours. Finally, we got ahold of them! The manager will give a call back they said. Another 2 hours of waiting before we decide to just byo there and didn’t help ourselves. Horrible furniture store, bad customer service, bad deliveries. I purchased my power recliner sofa from the ***** store and it was delivered from the Novi store, the delivery people dragged the power recliner in the truck to get it down, never thinking that this my damage the sofa, the dust liner was ripped, the scratched the back of one of recliner seat, the power cord was never delivered, I purchased this sofa on 11/9, the first delivery was scheduled for 11/16 after 3 confirmation, I was called to let me know that the sofa is damaged and it would not be delivered until 11/23, today is 11/28 and I still dont have the cord. When I called the store where I purchased the sofa, I was told that the Novi store delivered the sofa and I need to deal with them, after several calls to Novi Value City the delivery coordinator said that I told the driver its OK to mail the cord which I never agreed to, I went back to the ***** store and demanded to speak to the store manager ****, who told me that he spoke to the Novi store and just transferred me again to them, when I told them he spoke to them to resolve the issue, they didnt find any notes from him. I called the corporate office to speak to the district manager, I was told that they dont have a way of transferring me to him and they will send an e-mail and he will contact me, its lie after lie after lie. Dont waste your time or money buying anything from Value City.American Signature Inc.

1 starI give zero stars, DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BUY ANY FURNITURE FROM THIS STORE. They absolutely have no idea what they are doing. I ordered a new bed frame and mattress back in September and was told it would be delivered November 5th. 2 days before delivery I get a confirmation call and they list off all of my items and say it will be delivered. Delivery guys show up Saturday with no mattress and the hardware and legs to bed were missing. I called and was told there was a "glitch" in the system and it didnt show my mattress when it was confirmed on the list 2 days prior and on top of that missing hardware ? so my bed was left in pieces and no mattress. I called to try to get someone out that day since I work Monday through Friday and was told by D***** that they couldnt get out until Wednesday and then was hung up on. Even the delivery guys were shocked how she talked to me. I get ******* on the phone that following Monday to confirm it being delivered Wednesday and get told it is now being pushed to Thursday due to them having to make the legs of my bed. Its Thursday they finally get here and show up with the wrong legs and color for my bed, we ordered a gray and they were light brown. But then they leave and I am looking at this bed and the foot plate of the bed looks like its about to fall off ??? I have my wife look at it and come to find out they placed the bed together and didnt tighten one single bolt!!!! Now thats a safety hazard, what wouldve happened if we sat on the bed or actually tried to sleep in it !! And mind you we paid for them to bring it in and put it together!! This company is trash and has no compassion for its customers. They hire contractors that dont even work for them to put together your furniture! COMPLETE JOKE, I thought we were saving money by going with them but please do not make the mistake we did. Spend the extra money and go with another store!!!!Review fromLisa C

1 starIf there was a zero star option, that is what I would give this company. Do not shop here. I purchased a piece of furniture and was told that I could return it within 7 days, however I was not informed that there would be a 15% restocking fee. I was charged over $500 in fees to return my furniture. Not sure if VCF is aware, but I can purchase furniture from almost any online retailer such as Article, ******, Love Sac and return my items without incurring such predatory fees. Take your money elsewhere and do not allow this company to continue profiting from predatory practices.Review fromWilliam B

1 starValue city is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I bought a couch that started ripping due to what has to be defective material. Called and tried to get help a number of times. New cushions that tore as well. Obvious defect in material. Got to the point where they threw the one yr warranty in our faces. They are now not returning our calls or addressing anything to help the customer. Waste of money, terrible customer service and they will never grt my business again. I would love to talk with someone that is really in charge so I can personally express my displeasure and disbelief on the treatment we have received.
