      Paid for furniture in full the beginning of December 2024. I was made aware that I wouldnt get it until early February. Mid January ** contacted by the store telling me that one piece has been delivered and I can come pick it up. Why would I pick up a sofa and not my loveseat? That statement alone has me looking at value City side eyed. Fast forward to the date ** told I can pick up and lo and behold the date is now in late March. To top off the delay of me receiving my furniture I called the store and whoever answered offered the worst customer service ever. I called and told the person I was checking to see if my order was ready to be picked up. The *** said I can tell you now the truck didnt come for today. I said ok I received an email that my furniture was ready a few days ago. He then tells me that your order will be here March 21st. ** appalled with that answer and I ask him why he goes to tell me he doesnt know what to tell me other than it will be here on the 21st ** really ****** off! I called the corporate number ** assuming and did speak to someone who had time to explain that they have no control over shipping yada yada yada. I appreciated her explanation but ** furious and now contemplating cancelling my order that I really wanted. Value City has left a very bad taste in mouth.

      Story of my life. Value City is the worst store to order furniture from. They will call you 2 days before and tell you you will be getting your furniture, say before delivery they will tell you its been moved. I ordered my bedroom suit, been waiting for my dresser and lamps. They were supposed to deliver the dresser, lamps and mirror on Jan 29th, moved to Feb 15th, this morning l just got the lamps, no date for dresser and mirror, my stuff still in boxes after my move. This is the most frustrating thing, each time they promise to deliver l have to take a day off work! This needs to STOP!!!!

      Ordered my furniture Nov. 16th 2024. Item was in stock. They scheduled delivery for Dec. 4th. Got a call they pushed it back to Dec. 11th. Got rid of my furniture to have room for the new set coming in. Confirmed on Dec. 9th for delivery time to later get a call saying it is now push back until Jan. 15th. Have no furniture during the holidays. Only to get another call on the Jan 13th stating it is now pushed back to Feb. 12th. I'm losing my patients at this point. Talked to somebody at the store she credited us $427.00. Not even close to being enough at the mess we have been going through but a start. We get confirmation on Feb. 10th we are getting our furniture on Feb. 12. Today Feb. 12th the delivery shows up with my 2 tables. No couch or love seat. Never communicated it wasn't coming. Delivery drivers had no idea. Called the store again only to find out they told me wrong and it is now March 19th for delivery. Over 4 months at that point. I have already had to make payments on something I don't have. Looking at the complaints sounds like this is happening to multiple people. I have ordered from value city before with no issues. This time I am very close to just cancelling and going to another company. Who knows if I will even receive my furniture at this rate.

      My daughter paid for her furniture doing Thanksgiving and here we are in February and she still doesn't have it. They keep changing the date. Do yourself a favor and don't buy from then. I know other people that bought furniture from them and it took four months to get it.

      In December, I purchased a couch with an expected delivery date for the loveseat at the end of January. We received the sofa in mid-January, but then we were left waiting for the loveseat. When I called in mid-January to check on its status, I learned that the delivery had been delayed by a month. While this was frustrating, I was willing to be understanding. However, in early February, I called again and was informed that the loveseat had been discontinued without any prior notice. This left us in a very inconvenient position.
      The lack of communication was extremely unprofessional. We were offered the chance to return the couch and select a new one, which I appreciated. But when we arrived at the store, there was only one couch we liked, and it was $700 more than our original purchase. I requested a price match due to the circumstances, but the situation only got worse.
      The manager, Jason, approached us without even looking at us or apologizing for the inconvenience. He offered a minimal discount and expected us to pay for the redelivery of the new couch, which wouldn’t arrive until the end of March. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, I was told that I would need to return the couch myself.
      After processing the return and realizing I had a line of credit with Value City, I returned to discuss possible solutions. My interaction with Jason did not improve; he remained dismissive and never apologized for the issues we faced. His behavior was unprofessional, including rolling his eyes and telling me he didn't have time to argue.
      Ultimately, we settled for a couch we didn’t even want and still had to pay for delivery .The entire experience was frustrating and disheartening. I left feeling undervalued as a customer. I will not be returning to Value City and will actively discourage others from shopping there as well.
      I strongly believe I was dismissed because I’m a young woman and they did not care or even try to resolve my issue.

      I ordered a reclining sofa on January 3rd, 2025. The estimated delivery when I paid was January 16th. I checked my email after getting the order confirmation and it had changed to estimated delivery January 23rd. No problem, I understand delays are going to happen. Fast forward to a week before, I get a phone call from a representative from the **********, ******* store telling me my delivery will be delivered on February 6th. So I said okay thats fine. Fast forward again to February 4th, two days before estimated delivery, I called to ask if the delivery would actually be coming and they confirmed. They gave me a time between 9 AM and 12 PM. They sent me a text to confirm delivery, so I hit confirm. The next day (February 5th) I get a voicemail from a representative named **** stating the delivery has been delayed once again, this time estimated delivery is February 13th. I called them back and asked them if they even had the couch. She said let me check inventory, took her a second and she then informed me that they dont even have the couch in inventory and looks like they wont be getting the couch again because it was a close-out deal. So they were going to keep my money, keep delaying my order and never tell me that my couch will never arrive. I have been a loyal customer to them for years. *** bought several couches, several dressers and bed frames from them. Im never shopping here again. I had to call corporate to get my money back. They still have not refunded my money back.

      I purchase a sectional o January 2023.since they deliver one month later, the right recliner have problem from day one.they sent a technician the name *****, he came and tell me that a piece on the recliner was broken. He ordered a new one that take a month to deliver. He came two more times for the same problem,and couldn't fixed the problem, then I call value city furniture, and they tell me that they can't do nothing because I expired a three claim of the warranty.and the last one ,and this sound like a joke. I spent around ***** in furniture and the Last time they tell me,that as a courtesy they will send a technician back to check the recliner. What courtesy? the warranty said five years.not three claim.

      If I could leave zero stars I would. This place is TERRIBLE!! And that is an understatement! We bought couches in October online. Was told it would be ready for pick up on December 4th. Went to the store only to find out they do not have it. Told us they would delivery it January 4th. NEVER CAME! Finally got in touch with customer service over the phone. Told us they would deliver 1 couch and half the love seat?? What?? Came to the day for delivery.. still no show. Got back on the phone and the customer service offered a hundred off our total price and delivery on February 8th. Just received another email the delivery has been pushed back yet another month! Requested a refund and they told me that couldnt happen. I am totally outraged!! Took my money and did not deliver my furniture! Theft!!

      I purchased two couches from this store both the same . One of the couches has loose material. Under the extended warranty they cover pet stains and accidental tears but they dont cover pet rips or loose material that isnt ripped . No where in the booklets says this I paid ****** for a warranty that they refuse to cover. Beware of scams from this stores product and warranty .

      Their website is terrible. It promises dates for delivery that cannot be relied on. I ordered a couch 5 days ago. The website said it would be available at a certain location by this Thursday. I called to confirm the times available for pickup and the store employee told me that "the website does that" and "they've tried complaining but no one listens". It is absurd that I've had to make 4 phone calls and almost an hour of my day to get this resolved.
