I was in a no fault accident with a Nationwide policy holder. I had a horrible experience with their claims. They took weeks to send out an evaluator to look at my vehicle. Then gave me a rather offensive lowball offer. Once I rejected it, they immediately stopped my rental giving me only a few hours to make arrangements. And I had to pay out of pocket. They absolutely refused to negotiate and threatened to close my claim if I didn't send my title (I still was refusing the offer). They did close my claim. I filed with my insurance, had an offer the day they picked up my vehicle. And it was double what Nationwide offered. There were 3 different adjusters depending on what was needed. The last one and his supervisor were condescending jerks. I will never use Nationwide nor recommend them. Shout out to *********** for a swift and wonderful job! They definitely came through when Nationwide failed.

I have been going through a really hard time with my insurance claim involving my car being stolen. They lost the police report then we finally got it and sent it to them. And now they want information about things that's not even relevant to my car being stolen. What should I do to go about dealing with all of this?

I am POA for my Aunt that lives in Idaho and is 88 years old she was taken to the hospital in December with COVID, after friends had gone over to check on her and reported to me her home felt moist and humid on the inside. After asking them to go back over and pull the crawlspace on the home we found water under the home. A claim number was issued and *******  was called, but can't move forward with the repair until authorized by Nationwide. Now the home is unlivable until the repairs are complete, now I am unable to get ahold of the claims adjuster or two supervisors to follow-up with this issue. Very disappointed in Nationwide.

I wish I could give Nationwide 0 stars. They are in the business of denying claims vs administering them. I WOULD NEVER use this company ever again. I wish the state would be more proactive in regulating bad insurers and adjusters.

I wasn't treated with professional respect, nor was I dealt with fairly by my trusted insurance Nationwide. My claim adjuster appeared to have been a mentally unstable as she deemed it necessary to denied my claim while singing her denial to my claim in a song as follows: " We will not cover this claim." This is unprecedented in my experience with insurance companies. I was both speechless and stunned! __ My claim is to repair the fire place which was damaged related to a torrent ram. Although, this claim adjuster immediately denied my my claim on submission, she, nor any other Nationwide employee has ever set foot on my property to observe, or assess damage to the fire place.
Subsequent to having reported the claim adjuster, another adjuster weren't much better. Although, he didn't utilize any lyrics to communicate with me; however, he compelled me to rule-out any causes for damage to the fie place by means of testing. This too, is unprecedented to impose on a policy holder. Nationwide's conclusion was a denial to repair the fire place, dispute the time, and energy to rule out what they considered could have participated damage to the fire place. This is consequence for my having insurance with Nationwide Insurance.

I have been a Nationwide customer for 15 years and recently had a payment issue where the bank denied a payment for my auto policy and I didn't catch it fast enough. Nationwide sent a letter in the mail saying they canceled the policy and that I am no longer eligible to have there insurance. There was no other form communication at all. I do NOT recommend trusting them.

I have nationwide pet insurance which was somewhat affordable at 55 a month for two pets but recently out of the blue got a letter saying my policy would renew and the cost would be double, to about a $100.00 per pet. The letter included No explanation, and no warning. When i called the only explanation was costs had increased in my area, which is a joke because i literally moved from california to virginia, a way leas expensive state than virginia. At 200.00 for both pets, i can’t really afford the insurance and don’t know what to so since they both have medical needs on a monthly basis. And without insurance going to vet is not affordable either. So literally everyone suffers here, because some company decided they need to make more money off pet owners who are just trying to take care of their pets as best as they can.

They don't deserve one star. I've been with them for years paying extremely higher premiums even having to sign a waiver in NC acknowledging that I'm paying too much. I had a deer strike my car and they told me and towed my car to what was said to be an approved location. The people didn't fix my car correctly and when I called them out on it thus began a hot potato or keep away scenario between the repair shop and the Nationwide agent. This went on for months while my mom was terminally ill and I escalated it to her boss. He proceeded to do the same bouncing back and forth no one ever calling me back. The underwriter ******* ***** Agency also did not offer help. The repair shop was going under and the agent advised me to wait and new owners would fix it. Of course the new owners said they were not obligated to fix anything and gave new estimate of $1300 to fix what wasn't done. Nationwide has not supported me at all but went after trying to prove they didn't say to take it to that shop. They could not do so and just said it was an approved shop. Meanwhile my car that was just barely 2 years led still has the damage. Hood not on correctly. Door not aligned and parts on the side that actually fell off. This is Nationwide now. The agents neglected in telling me this was an approved shop led me to the shop. The field agents neglect in not expediting a resolution prior to this shop closing. Local agency I'm not involved just here to make my profit. Corporate's hardline even though they have the recorded call where they say it's going to be towed to X place. Then willing to allow me to drive a vehicle in this shape while paying their exorbitant rates. They do not hold up to the slogan. They are only on the side of profit

Nationwide notified me in Nov 2023 that they would not renew my homeowners ins in Jan 2024 due to the condition of my roof as shown in aerial photos. Called a trusted roofer and he said, yes there is definitely hail and wind damage. So I filed a claim in anticipation of a roof replacement per my policy. I was shocked when they closed my claim and sent me a check for $348. I’m a 24 year customer and I never expected this slap in the face! I’m appealing, but the manager seems to support the desk adjuster.
      I would never recommend Nationwide.
