      I had a total loss last year and subsequently Toyota Financial Services never received payment for the balance of my car loan. I tried emailing the total loss claims representative (**** *****) three times, I called both Joey Salas and his manager seven times and all fourteen times it rolled over to voicemail. To make matters worse, their underwriting managers were too incompetent to see the hostile regulatory environment here in California and consequently now all of my policies with them are being non-renewed a few months from now.

      I have been with Nationwide for well over ten years. It seems that in the last year or two, Nationwide employees have become rude when customers like myself ask questions or inquire about their policy. The Nationwide office at **** ** ********* has definitely forgotten that customers are the reason they are in business. I took my business elsewhere due to constant increases and never any decrease in premiums. When I asked, they kept citing North Carolina rates, which I'm aware are going up. However, it's the rude responses and acting as if they can't answer the questions thoroughly, the loud tones, and so forth that are truly upsetting. I was referred there by my uncle and in-laws who are with them. I've always provided them with my current insurance company's information. After shopping around, I found cheaper insurance, where they are polite and very helpful when answering questions.

      WORST INSURANCE EXPERIENCE OF MY 53 YEARS ON THIS EARTH. THEY LIE. THEY SEND THREATENING LETTERS AND THEY STOLE $18 FROM ME. I AM FORTUNATE THAT I DIDN'T HAVE A STROKE TRYING TO DEAL WITH THESE AWFUL PEOPLE.

      July 4, 2023 my neighbors were shooting fireworks which is against the law for my county and my storage building caught fire and totally destroyed the building and contents. I filed a claim and was notified in December my policy was being cancelled because I needed a new roof according to an aerial view done by Nationwide. I had a reputable roofing company come out and they sent Nationwide documentation my roof still had 10-12 years left. They refused to overturn their decision. So why do homeowners pay years for insurance and when claims are filed they drop your insurance? This is not right as the whole purpose of insurance is for situations like this. At least I thought.

      I called at 8:30 for a tow for my husband, we have road side. They already got him and brought him home before 10pm! When I had progressive I called them at 1pm and they still hadn't gotten to my husband and I at 9pm! To say I am thoroughly impressed with Nationwide is an understatement! So glad I made the switch! Thank you for giving me peace of mind that my husband and i's vehicles will always be in safe hands!

      I've had nothing but good experiences with Nationwide and have home, auto, and business insurance with them. Unfortunately, they recently cancelled my business insurance. When I inquired as to why, they said their representative reported that I had a leaky roof and needed a new roof. I asked for the report. You can't see my building from the road at all so I don't know how he found a leak when he couldn't even see the building which is behind a 6' wall. He also reported that my house needed a new roof even though it was a tile roof that wasn't very old. He also reported that my house was built many years before it was actually built. Since I have a fairly new house in good condition, I can only assume the inspector was just lazy or purposefully deceitful because he didn't want to do his job. The person I called and spoke to acknowledged that there were many mistakes and that she would appeal the decision. I was not contacted for a month even though I tried several times to get in touch to find out the status. After a month, I finally reached someone only to be told the appeal was denied, but that she wasn't sure why. This has lead me to believe Nationwide does not deal in good faith.

      I was with Nationwide for over ten years and I never had an accident. My insurance agent didn’t notify me that if I didn’t make a payment they would cancel my contract. Supposedly it was a renewal period. They dropped me and issued me a refund from their wrong calculations on my payment and then sent it to a wrong account which they kept saying was mine. The card they sent it to was not mine and then they assumed I had someone else pay it when I kept telling them that it must be an error in their end. For 33.00 they refused to send me a check because they said they already sent it to the bank account which I consider fraud. I feel they have just taken my money for all these years and I don’t recommend ever using them. I went with *********** and I pay almost two thirds less than what I did with nationwide.

      We secured property insurance for our 5 plex apartment with Nationwide February 2023. They recently requested evidence of upgrades to electrics, water pipes, roof etc. We sent all this information of a complete refurbishment carried out in 2004, complete with permits where the city would require units to be brought up to code.
      They ignored the information or couldn't be bothered to read the documents and then said " we were under the impression that the 5 units were in one building and not 4 buildings on one lot! Well they did know this in February 2023. Seems this insurance company looks to deny insurance cover in California. A very unprofessional company.

      Have home in California insurance been through Nationwide since 2014. No claims made. Got notice of no renewal because claimed roof “bad”. How did they determine that, why of course, through a satellite picture taken from who knows where. Said if roofer certified condition that that would “ go a long way in reinstating us. We’ll, got certified roofer to certify roof in good shape with longevity of 10+ years. They then said because of dirt and discoloration of roof that it is bad, when roofer said it is a cement roof and dirt can get into “pores”. They still claimed it bad without ever looking at it. They had NO intention of covering this house and used bogus excuses not to reinstate. They need to change their catchy little jingle to “NATIONWIDE’S NOT ON YOR SIDE”!!!!

      ****** ******* Worst Nationwide employee I have ever dealt with. How she is still employed by Nationwide is beyond me. Does everything in her power to screw over the ones that pay her salary and has a voice that just grates at you. Although I do not agree on how Nationwide handled my claim, ****** is the main reason why I am leaving. She is truly a classless act.
