      Time to change the company name to Nationwide Except California. I've been a customer for a decade with no claims on home, 2nd home, auto, umbrella, and pet but they decided to do everything possible to not renew home insurance. They do this by asking for endless nonsense documentation. Very bad strategy. If you are in California don't waste your time with this company, they have abandoned the state.

      Zero stars. Nationwide cost my family and I thousands of dollars in out of pocket expenses. They told us they would reimburse us to have our flooded basement restored, then ignored our calls and messages for weeks. They claim our home was flooded through the windows, which is provably false and incorrect. Our windows, the trim, the drywall, and paint are all perfectly dry and pristine. They did not mention or even inspect the actual source of the water leak, and ignored the root cause, so it happened twice.
      1st experience was pure negligence and had they done their jobs, the lower level of our home would have only been destroyed once. But because they could not be bothered to investigate the source of the water backup, we paid out of pocket to replace our floors only to have the same thing happen 6 months later. This time, they claim it was a natural disaster and not covered under the 12 perils of water damage. Anything to make a buck and screw the consumer.
      I have never experienced such blatant robbery from a place of business. It's a complete scam, they will not call you back, they will not help you when you need it and they are absolutely for sure not on your side.
      Spend your hard earned money anywhere else. Nationwide is a scam.

      If I could give NO stars I would. Used Nationwide since it was VPI. Prices raised from $20 month to almost $90 month over 12 years. THEY NEVER PAY OUT! AVOID! $50 deductible each time as well. SCAM.

      We were unable to get resolution to get our damaged roof replaced because of a high deductible. After reviewing other insurance companies I found that nationwide was charging us thirty dollars a month more for high deductible insurance than we would pay for extremely good insurance elsewhere.
      Avoid at all costs.

      have spent over 90 minutes trying to get assistance. However that is not possible as they will not remove you from hold. Can’t use the app, it says call them. How do I get compensated for my time?

      I changed car insurance in febuary. Nationwide skipped my febuary payment, then in march charged me over 600 and in April charged me over 300. I got new insurance that informed them. They clearly didn't charge me in febuary for a reason. Ive been with nationwide 24 years. I want my $958.20 back! That would buy me car insurance for 2 years! The new company I switched to also changed my policy and charged me 3x what they agreed to without so much as a phone call. I've had to spend a ton of my time fighting fires and I'm out 1500 dollars. Its sickening, you shouldn't screw people who paid you their whole life like that.

      I need to rollover my previous 401k account with Nationwide. I called them, waited for an hour, while the estimated wait time was 5 min. When I left my information for them to call back, for at least 3 times, they never did. Every time I try to talk to a representative, it takes at least 2 hours just to get in touch with them. And my issue never got resolved for several months. Worst service ever!

      Worst company!!! Been waiting on a payout since October. They sent a check to the body shop which was cashed and my car later was deemed a total loss now they say I have to get money from body shop myself and they will cut a check for the rest of the value. How is it my responsibility to get back money you sent out prematurely. It’s your job to get your money back. It was your mistake. I would never recommend this company.
