      Absolute joke. I have been with this company for years.. All of a sudden i get a letter from the tag office about a lapse. I call nationwide and they said " Well we sent letters." I told them I received letters from the tag office but not from them. They continue to just say it's my fault, and i would have to start all over with my coverage with a higher rate. While I was put on hold for them to talk to a writer I found the exact same coverage $50 less than what mine was originally. 2 months pass then I get a letter from a collection agency about a past due balance.. I call nationwide AGAIN. They say the whole letter thing again.. Even though the rep from 2 months ago never brought that up... I pay the "Balance" then the rep asks me if i would like my receipt emailed and then spelled my email out with no error.... I said " You guys even had my email and never chose to email me any of this information!!!" Worst experience with insurance ever! By the way I went with Progressive.

      I got a full policy through another company for my new home and later switched my existing home/policy with Nationwide to a dwelling fire policy (hazard insurance) once my belongings were removed from the home and it became a rental. Originally it was quoted at 619, I was charged 780 instead. Previously, I had been paying between 670-690 per year for the full policy. Why would I be paying 100 more for only hazard insurance? I asked the very confused billing agent this and all he could say is he didn't see any quote in the system for the dwelling fire policy and 780 was the accurate amount. They made no effort to correct the situation, even after I explained that I had received quotes for 690 from other insurance companies (likely higher than the 619 due to recent inflation). I don't think my escrow analysis pulled that 619 number out of thin air, but fortunately I won't owe my escrow account additional money once this policy is replaced. I will never do business with Nationwide again.

      I am a repair shop who repaired a truck valued over $60,000 only for the lazy adjuster who missed $2400. In damage and wrote for the cheapest used parts he could find online which left me with a supplement of around $4000. Which I will end up eating because the company that administers their supplements “sca claim” is nearly impossible to deal with..I will NEVER let another Nationwide covered vehicle in my shop again…and it all stems from a lazy adjuster who doesn’t do his job.

      hello, i would like to report the nationwide claim representative's disrespectful behavior
      my case #******,
      I uploaded all information and pictures Nov 26,
      I called many times and left messages also emails but nobody returned my phone
      I called their supervisor yesterday and the representative called me back today he said to close this case and closed to phone my face with disrespect

      I had a major water leak due to a broken pipe on second floor that gushed high volume of water on the floors of the second floor through ceiling and walls of the first floor. Walls have asbestos and shall be professionally removed. The adjuster (****** *******) estimated the cost to be less than $1000 and asked me whether I needed to proceed since it’s lower than my deductible. It’s a joke! Thousand dollars nowadays does not even cover costs for regular drywall patches much less for asbestos wall demolition and replacement as well as carpet and tile replacement. The adjuster denied carpet replacement stating that the pet urine/feces voids coverage when they are required to bring it to pre-loss condition.
      I am complaining about the delay in claim review and appraisal (2 months have already passed), inefficiency due to frequent changes of adjusters who were supposed to call me but I was the one who had to chase them down to only know that it was transferred to a different one, incompetence of adjuster who did not even have the impacted shower wall on the sketch and totally forgot that the walls have asbestos when she had the claims in front of her.

      I received a letter yesterday informing me my homeowners policy will not be renewed. Reason? Proximity to a wildfire area. Really? My payments have never been late. My credit has not decreased. I have never made a claim. Today, I contacted 6 other companies to seek a replacement policy. No one else even brought up wildfire area. And even better yet, I got cheaper rates. I guess because I am a white, middle aged, heterosexual male, *** has cancelled me!

      First time dealing with filing a nationwide auto claim the experience has been abysmal with lack of promptness, communication and updates. The claim was started 30 days ago and continues to not be resolved. I have been in a nationwide customer for several years and was involved in a car accident. The other party has accepted liability and I was given the option to file total loss (my vehicle was deemed a total loss) with either my insurance company (nationwide) or the person accepting liability. I wrongly assumed filing with my company (nationwide) would offer a prompt response to an acceptable settlement. I filed the claim immediately after the incident on 11/1/22. Claim 920052-GN. I was given the run around by claims adjusters (no adjusters in the area to evaluate the vehicle, we will try to get out there this week..etc). My car continues to sit in the yard it was towed to since 10/31/22. A Nationwide subcontracted appraiser has uploaded their report to nationwide and the claim continues to sit idle with little to no updates. Today was the 30 day **** without resolution and I demanded an explanation and update from the current claims adjuster. I would not recommend using this carrier in *********** and plan to file a complaint with the state insurance commission. This company should be banned from selling policies in *********** if they cannot support timely claims processing. Once this is settled I plan on cancelling my auto, home and pet policies and seek a new insurer. I would recommend this Nationwide Insurance to anyone in ***********. Contrary to their catchphrase: Nationwide is definitely NOT on your side. at least not in ***********...I suggest ********************* and her customer relations team do some QA by auditing claims to processes and timelines and identify areas for improvement. You can do better.

      988152-GN happened November 20th today I'm trying to find a way to work no rental. No update on my truck..... The salesman while getting on phone asking for what beer he wanted then told me his lap top was down and didnt think he could get me a car in time from enterprise with ten minutes to work with didn't happen. Amazing full week I'd like to refunded the money I'm paying people to drive me around and wow shame on your company.
