I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchase. Their pet insurance is a complete scam.At this point they are tying incidents to a condition that doesn't exist. They know it and yet their response to me is that I can just cancel my policy at any time.They are frauding the American customer.Nationwide

I could not get this company to cancel a policy for me after 5 attempts. Instead of canceling my policy when I asked, they canceled it for non payment and sent me to collections.Nationwide

1 star***************************, property claims associate is denying that rot is biological degradation. Furthermore, the insurance Nationwide requires a deductible of 5% of the total value of the house for windstorm damage. Guess how much a roof costs and how its most likely to get damaged... This company is scamming Soldiers and Family members by refusing to process claims for damages covered by the policy. They know a lawsuit is more expensive for breach of contract than it is to pay for the damages out of pocket. This is predatory.Review fromvique m

1 starWhen I called to get my guinea pigs covered, I was not told that there was more than one plan available. I was also given the impression that routine vet checkups would count toward the $250 co-pay. However, as soon as I filed a claim, I was told that only illnesses were covered. So if you think your pet is ill but they are not or the vet is unsure, then the cost of the visit doesn't count? Due to this, I sent **************** a message asking them for the recorded phone call from when I called and signed up for the insurance coverage because I felt I had been mislead. They told me that they would not provide the recorded phone call. I then asked them to cancel my coverage. I was told I could not cancel by email, I could only cancel via phone. Why would I cancel via phone when I do not trust what they tell me on the phone and they cannot provide me with their own recorded phone calls? I would prefer to have everything in writing so their is no question of what was said and agreed to. Very untrustworthy, misleading, and a horrible customer experience. Nationwide representative gave me e-mail, actually spelled it outa like in apple. to send POA paperwork to so I could take care of my autistic cousins bills. E-mail given to me was not valid. I drove to local office located on State Street in *********, **. Website & door on office listed Friday hours open unit 5pm. It was 3pm. Door of office was locked and office was dark and no one was answering phone. When I called National # back I was told maybe theyre at lunch??? Called back again and had to push all kind of buttons to get through to a live person and demand to speak to a manager/supervisor..waited **********************************************************Nationwide

Like others have said Nationwide are complete crooks. We filed a claim for damages on our roof and they sent out people of there choosing to assess the damages and sent us a 47 dollar check. I had already called a roofing contractor and they gave me there view of what they felt needed to be done and where all the damages were on the roof. Nationwide told me there was no damage caused by weather and that is how they concluded with deductible that I was owed the 40 dollars. Told me to replace 5 tiles and get drywall repaired and painted for 47 freaking dollars. So I had the roofing contractor take thorough pictures and send to claims person. They sent out an engineer of there choosing and concluded that there was no damages from weather only man made damages and wear and tear of the age of roof. So I have a 15 year roof and it is nowhere near the 15 year **** yet. Somehow they ended up sending me another payment of 47 dollars for whatever reason with no break down or explanation. And the first breakdown they gave us was so confusing it might as well have been in a foreign language. So I ended up closing my account with them who I was going through goosehead insurance for nationwide. ********* tells me I'm getting ex amount of dollars back. Okay great. Well I get a email from nationwide and it is 400 dollars short of what Goosehead had told me. So use Nationwide at your own risk. I have never been so insulted and treated this way from an insurance company ever. I am 44 years old for reference so I am not new to this.Nationwide

I took my dog to the vet because he had some stomach issues and a cough. They denied my claim because they said he had a pre-existing condition. He is a 8 month old puppy and I took him in because of problems he was having right then. Now i am stuck with a $450 bill, they made me jump through hoops to dispute the claim and then they denied the claim. AVOID NATIONWIDE at all costs!Nationwide

1 starI changed my policy with nationwide to my pet protection plan. I was told with this particular plan the premium would never increase due to the age of the pet or for any other reason. Every year at renewal I was told the annual premium would always be the same. I just received my renewal and it went up $337.36. I called and they told me because of inflation they raised their prices. This is absolutely unacceptable. They should not tell their customers one thing and then do something else. Unfortunately I cant even cancel the policy because another company will not reimburse me for a pre-existing condition. Im sure they realize this and thats why they feel that they can do whatever they want. Im writing this review so it doesnt happen to someone else looking for a policy for their fur baby.Review fromMichael D.

I have been trying to complete a total withdrawal as I have left my employer and moved to a new state. I have completed the forms supplied by nationwide and submitted them to my employer, who has submitted them to nationwide I have contacted customer service several times and heard several different excuses why I havent received MY MONEY its been 3 weeks and I was told 5-7 business days.
