Nationwide Pet Insurance has been a nightmare. I submitted all the required documents for my dogs claim, but they claimed what I provided wasnt enough. My dog was adopted from a rescue, so theres no additional history I can give thembut they dont seem to care. To make matters worse, they denied one of my claims and took over $1,000 from me, which they refuse to refund. Their customer service has been dismissive, and the whole process has been nothing but stressful. If you value your time, money, and your pets well-being, stay far away from this company!Nationwide

Nationwide underwrites travel ins for ***. *** rejects claims for frivolous reasons. Basically Nationwide keeps their reputation intact by using *** to do their dirty work I traveled with ****** ***** to ******* and ***** I left three expensive shirts in the closet of my room in ******. I noticed the next day in ***** and called the hotel. The shirts were not found. This means housekeeping either did not check the closet or stole the shirts. This is a covered incident for my travel ins. I told my tour guide and called ****** on the day of loss. I wrote an e mail to hotel management the next day. This e mail was provided to *** as they require notification to either venue , tour guide or company or police. My claim was denied as no notification made. How do you prove you told your tour guide and called ****** ??? Loss noticed in another city. Cannot go to ****** police. I tried to report by phone or internet but is not allowed. But was reported to the hotel and proved with e mail I did everything I was suppose to do even though I didnt know these rules until I got home. Review of *** all over the internet are horrible. *** reported *** to my states ins **** and the BBB. I plan to make reviews where ever I can about this company and its underwriter Nationwide.Nationwide

I have been insured with Nationwide for 31 years. NO ACCIDENTS NO CLAIMS. My insurance just went up to almost 400 a month for 1 car full coverage(which I have no choice) and 1 basic. Clean driving record. It's been going up for the last year. They seem to say it's because of all the payouts they have. BUT That's not my problem. I didnt make any claims, so why are you making me pay for everyone else? Its also not my fault we had a hurricane come through *******. I think that you have made enough money off me. Or is it you need the money for you to live in your glass house. Yes im Mad Mad. I'm tired of paying for everyone else because they can't act right. You. Need to go back to charging based on what I do not everyone else!! Loyalty use to be a real thing, but it's looking like that's a thing of the past.Nationwide

Not happy with Nationwide. Had insurance for a trip; my mom went into hospice and later passed away. Provided hospice enrollment and death certificate, but that's not enough for them. They want doctors' notes for a person who has died, which is impossible to get once a person is deceased.Nationwide

I am no longer a customer after 20 plus years. I honestly do not know where to begin. After ten years of living in my home I had to initiate a claim. I came home from vacation to septic back up due to tree branches growing through my pipes under the ground. The adjustor in this case was quick and kind due to the safety of myself and my family with this being septic in my home. While the claim was paid I did pay several thousand dollars out of pocket. The second issue, also septic within a few months of the first. Also wind/storm related and several other homes in the area were affected. The adjustor in this case was impossible to communicate with and eventually left the company so I had to start over with a new adjustor. Same issue and to be honest I have no idea if it was ever settled. I just gave up. Third issue with my roof. Again all due to the on going issue of storms and a tree farm being logged. The trees blocked the wind and elements and they were all cut down. I was advised by the roofing company that Nationwide would owe me approximately 1100.00 once the roof was complete. They forwarded the invoice and payment. I have never received the 1100.00 and another email/employee that no longer exists. An adjustor showed up at my home without notice and took pictures of my property. I received a list of items that had to be repaired or I would be dropped after 16 years. I tried to rectify the issue and sent the photos to my agent. My insure was dropped without notice. My car insurance which I dropped after this fiasco was still drafted from my account. The agent advised me this is what everyone is doing????? Taking advantage of long long time customers because claims had to be made seems predatory and just plain greedy. As I read the reviews it seems I am not the only one who quit this company. Just sorry I did not do it sooner. I will also contact the Attorney General and my State Senator. I would have left zero stars if that was possibleNationwide

Nationwide is a terrible company. Our ceiling in my mother's room fell in. Nationwide sent two separate appraisers out. After receiving the first report which was in our favor, they sent a second one out. Apparently the ceiling was installed incorrectly in 1977! It collapsed in October 2024! As a homeowner how was I supposed to know this? Our contractor found other rooms with the same problem. We fixed those out of pocket because we found out about it. How were we supposed to know about this, how would any homeowner be expected to know about this? Our house is vey well maintained. Our roof was replaced by us 12 years ago the ceiling did fall in then either!Nationwide will NEVER get another dime of our hard earned money. How would a person of any educational level know this by looking at it? The home inspection did see anything wrong with the ceiling either. I would leave 0star rating if I could!Nationwide

I contacted Nationwide for Pet Insurance. I wanted to add a dog to my son's policy. You can't do it online. The representative gave me a price quote on the phone. I asked to email a detailed quote before I commit. He said it's their policy not to provide a detailed quote. I am not paying for something that I don't know how much I am paying for, what is/isn't covered, or any add-ons I might want to take advantage of. I will be searching elsewhere because other insurance companies are very transparent and you see exactly what you're getting. They lost a customer in me.Nationwide

Contacted Nationwide and initiated a claim after someone ran into my right rear bumper on my 2006 ****** Tundra. Took my truck to their recommended repair shop, they gave me an estimate of $1,751.00, three days later I was told the amended estimate is $6,023.00 and they are going to total my truck. I ended up keeping my truck with a salvaged title. I then took it to another body shop and got an estimate of $3,200.00 to fix it. (Same Guarantee) I was never offered the opportunity to seek a second estimate before they totaled my truck. After almost 40 yrs with this insurance company I now know they are NOT on my side. There is something really suspicious going on between them and their recommended body shops! ******! Needless to same I am researching other insurance companies!Nationwide
