      If I could give a -5 star I would. I have been using Klarna for 9 months and I have been very happy until August. I made a small payment of $178 which was due. Two weeks later I still had no purchasing power. Made some more payments still no purchasing power. Have chatted with them multiple times and the blame it on the automated system and say there is nothing that they can do. They raised my purchasing power to $1200 and yes I did use it for some big purchases, but I have paid $700 of it off and I still dont have any purchasing power. I have never missed a payment and have outstanding history with them. This company is very deceptive.

      If I could give 0 stars I would. On Sept 3rd I used a 3rd party to book a hotel reservations but used Klarna as my payment method. I booked at 8:30am and got my confirmation and reference number and the first installment payment was held and I received the virtual card. Drove 4 hours to the venue and was informed that I had no pre payment thru Klarna and my debit card was charged for the venue. So now my debit card is on hold with Klarna as well the venue for the full price. I spent from 5:00pm on Saturday to Sunday 8:29am attempting to get help from Klarna as well as the 3rd party booking company.Mind you, the app would not work the entire time, I'm trying to get this issue rectified. Reached out to Klarna again on Sunday, at around 8:00 am and the representative was saying, "oh reach out to the booking company bc we can't see anything on our end" but my card has been ran. One representative stated, "oh. We have been trying to pay them since you booked but I don't have a confirmation. This is why I asked each representative to hold on so I could run downstairs to speak to the hotel and each time, the Klarna reps hung up the phone causing me to call back multiple times. So at exactly 8:30am which was exactly 24 hours from when I booked, the app began to work and my entire transaction shows cancelled. I called back and she apologized but there was nothing she could do bc it had been cancelled. I didn't receive an email to say, "Hey lady, we're trying to pay the venue or the 3rd party booking agent," they just canceled the transaction and I have to wait 1-7 business days to to get my money back for the payment they did charge. I was out of town with my money on hold and has to ultimately, leave bc all my funds were on hold while out of town. The purpose of Klarna is to use the benefit of 4 payments but I was forced to pay upfront and KLARNA also charged me.

      I had the same experience as a recent reviewer. I was pre-approved and asked to enter all of my personal card information. Only after I gave them all of my account information, was I informed the purchase was declined. This is a highly questionable practice. If they are not using the pre approval data to actually approve the purchase, then they should be up front about that. I would have never dealt with them or given them my information if I had known of their shady business practices.

      If I could give no stars I would. They send out emails for money off your next order just to get you to order, then they dont give you the money off and now I have to go through the company I ordered from to get a credit by returning everything. Scam artists and they dont care about their customers. Never ever will I use this company again, Affirm and Afterpay are 100% better and are customer friendly.

      Horrible Company! Don't do it!I selected to extend a payment on 8/25 that was due 8/29. My paycheck wasn't going to clear until 8/30. The extension was approved until 9/12, although I was goin to pay it as soon as my check cleared. Anyway, they took the payment out on 8/29 around 10pm CST anyway. It was too late and was already done but I still contacted customer service to see what happened so it wouldn't happen in the future. Of course, they were clueless. ?? I also had an issue a couple of weeks ago when I attempted to make a purchase well within my purchase power. I understood I had to pay $60 upfront and my one-time card was created. Yet, when I put the card in, it declined my purchase. **************** pretty much in their fancy way said you "were" approved, we took your $60, created a one-time card for you, BUT we changed our mind. ??????? It took FOREVER to get my $60 back. They continue to do stupid stuff though and no one is helpful. I'm upset now because I was hit with an overdraft fee cause they took the money out last night after they claimed to extend the payment. Klarna don't comment with your apologies unless you're going to reimburse my overdraft fee, otherwise save it and don't use fingers taps for nothing

      Ordered a coffee machine and never received. In spite of multiple attempts to contact Klarna, only one successful due to hold times of >30 minutes, continue to be billed for product. To date have been billed four times for full amount. Thankfully Chase CC has been helpful in allowing to contest charge. When I was finally able to connect with Klarna, they agreed merchant did not ship product and was unresponsive. Klarna promised to resolve. Still getting billed four weeks later. Will be sure to avoid Klarna at all costs in the future. Horrible!

      I had a credit with this company for eleven Hundred dollars I went to see what and down payment for hotel off hotel.com I seen the down payment I add a payment method when purchasing I got told to try another card keep in mind I never purchase any thing cause of that . So I check later that day my purchase power got drop 200 ???? How???? I done went though this company several times No bad history with them at all witch following reps confirm I done trips with this company no issue at all paid on time until now just cause that error message try another card my purchase price drop 200 for ***** something dollars. I reach out to chat support and spoke to ********* was the most unprofessional told me I was responsible payer then said I purchase over my limit which was aLie I earn **** something with this company and what I purchase was **** under my purchase power. Then I was told I use wrong email . It doesnt ask for email. Wouldnt let me speak to an sup at all I request multiple times I still never spoke to sup.I ended chat reach out chat support again rep gave me toll free number. I call them then I was told they now run credit checks small one for anything u purchase its new rule even if I got good credit with Klarna and I got purchase amount . With me purchase a hotel my credit get ran and it doesnt matter if I got the amount I can get declined which I think goes against what they advertised build credit with Klarna be able to purchase what u want. Like why u running a credit check if I want to purchase ************* hotels dont run your credit u either have the money or you dont. I feel like I was lied to

      I made a in store return and still have to pay klarna from the store credit. I am now out of money from a return with no merchandise. What a rip off and scam! How can you take money if the merchandise was returned?

      Repetitive history of failure to refund when you return an item. Twice with ****** and once with Free People. Don't use them if you need to return an item. You will never see your money. The reviews are accurate and real. Please join me in writing to retailers who use Klarna to notify them that Klarna is in default of failure to return refunds to numerous consumers. They are aware and they simply don't care. The reviews here are factual and accurate.
