My husband and I signed on for Greenix Pest control over a year ago. We signed for a year contract. Partway through the contract we called for cancellation as their products were making things workse and were talked into finishing out the year contract to avoid cancellation fees with the understanding that after a year we would not be renewed.
Once the year was up, Greenix did not come to collect their pest boxes. We thought it strange but didn't want to touch them and left them as is - until we got a text message stating that they were going to be stopping by for our next treatment. We called again, explained that we had cancelled, and that we did not want further services but to please come get their boxes. All was confirmed cancelled to my knowledge until today when a lovely gentleman (earnestly was lovely, that is not sarcasm) from Greenix showed up to not collect the boxes but to treat our house without our request. He stated we were not marked as cancelled, meaning that whoever we talked to the other two or three times had still not cancelled our service.Business Response

I contacted Greenix about canceling my contract because of the monthly price being high I was greeted by a nice representative who said he understood and appreciated that I had fulfilled my entire contract- he said that I was it eligible for one free treatment and a lower price and I explained to him I did not want to be under the contract he said I didn't I could schedule the appointments when I wanted and not worry about being on a contracted year. He said the new price will be $89 per treatment and that I could have one free treatment -I asked him if I could have the treatment the following week he said I could. I told him I would want a follow up visit at the end of October he told me I could schedule the treatments whenever. Just call and let them know . He scheduled my free treatment for Wednesday Aug 31st. The service guy came out and provided the treatment. I noticed that I got an email a few days later saying I owed them 89 dollars. I called customer service and disputed the charge based on what was told to me by their representative. I told her I thought the charge was incorrect she said it would be turned over to collections after 60 days. I expected more and will not be paying that charge. I told her I had cancelled my contract but she said I had not.Business Response

Looking into your account I see there was a billing error and there was an attempt to charge you for the service. That charge was declined so there is no money to refund. Had a salesman come by our home on 8/2/22 and he asked if we had bug issues in the home. I said not really, but you can see we have spiderwebs throughout the exterior of the home. He informed me that that will spray in the siding a powder of sort and remove all the spiderwebs and it will get worse before it get better. We reached out to them a little less than a month after 1st service and said we have more spiderwebs and they said they will come out and remove the spiderwebs for free. At that point, I spoke to the service man and he stated that it really will not get rid of spiderwebs. Like, I said we do not really have spiders in the house, they live outside and thats ok with me. The salesman told us the spiderwebs would dissipate, but they are not. I can buy a unit like these use for 50.00 and take care of the spiderwebs myself then. When I called to cancel they tell me I have a cancellation fee of 249.00 because it's within 3 days of the contract signing. When they say it takes time to work why do they have a 3 day RPO, doesn't seem correct. Cancelling is a option that I should have because the service does not work and and cancellation fee should not be charged.Business Response

Tech did not explain the addition of rodent services would extend the contract. part of the contract was completed, yet still charged $250 cancelation fee. The company DID NOT explain the fine print when they sign you up. In times of inflation, people need to save money by discounting a $90 a month service, that never produced dead rodents. Never got rid of bees. Extremely unprofessional and rude Account Manager, Carols. Carlos should be used to upset customers as they have an abundance of 1 stars on google. Greenix needs to do better for its customers and give them a break when people are trying to save money. Greenix just takes more.Business Response

I signed an agreement for pest control and was told upon signing that I could request a technician come by and resolve any new items since I was a new customer. Not only did I call in June, get an appointment and then cancelled on, I tried it again in July and got cancelled on again. The tech that finally came out only sprayed my front door and left after a minute of being on the property. My request was for the backyard patio to be looked at...I don't feel that I'm being properly served as a customer and do not want to continue paying a company for doing less than the bare minimum of services. They also threatened to put me in collections for not wanting to pay for something that is not being properly serviced. It's more than disappointing to see such a money grab and then threaten to be paid when the job isn't done right. I would like to end service with this provider so I can find another company that will complete the job.Business Response

Greenix is supposed to service my boxes each month on 2 occasions I watched the service person get out of their truck and walk-in front of the property, take a picture, sent the picture to my phone and state they just changed out the boxes on the property. Get back in their truck, charged my credit card on file and leave. When I contacted the company they stated I would get a refund and the refund has been received. Last incident was last week. I spoke with John in Accounts. Well at least he said his name was John. They lies so much.Business Response

I’ve had Greenix for three months and still have a spider issue. I call during normal business hours and leave a voicemail with no return call back. I would like to exit my contract with no charge due to this company not returning calls and the product not working. It does not eradicate spiders or webs at all. I would like to terminate the contract and go to someone that can actually do what is advertised.Business Response

I am getting repeated calls from Greenix collections stating that I have an outstanding balance of $213. My bank reports that the check was sent several weeks ago. I have tried five times to reach someone only to be put on hold and after 10 minutes or more, out of frustration I hang up. My total wait time with all of these calls has been over an hour.
The pest control service I was billed for was not requested. However, since they performed the service I am willing to pay for it because it works. I've asked them several times to not do the pest control service unless I specifically ask for it. My hope is that this complaint gets someone's attention and they will call me after 5pm any day M-F.Business Response

I wish i would have read reviews before doing business with this company. How many complaints can there be for the same problem before a business is considered a fraud or scam! I was approached by a sales person and convinced/assured my exact issues could be resolved. I signed a contract and it's been a nightmare ever since! I have paid over$500.00 and my existing issues are worse than ever and I now have new problems i didn't have before they started. The products DO NOT WORK! They have done extra treatments and they did waive one charge. The techs that have come to the house have screwed up and their supervisors try and clean it up. I was told my account was closed and canceled and they are still harrassing me that they are coming to do a treatment and it's still active. I should not have to pay another cent and i should be refunded what I've paid. I have essentially paid this company to give me infestations. Thanks!Business Response
