      On 9/17/24, I was calling around to get an estimate for a treatment for small flies in my house. One company quoted me a ballpark of $195 for a treatment. I then called Greenix and spoke to ******. He seemed nice, and said normally it would be $299 but right now they have a special of $150 off. I said that sounded good and he scheduled the appointment and would send me a contract for the order electronically. It was 8 pages long with a place for me to sign at the bottom. A local person showed up and sprayed inside and then outside for about a hour. After he finished, he handed me a "Service Pro did this list". Nothing was said about future visits. He said it would be $39 today charged to my credit card and be billed the balance. On 9/20, my credit card was charged $110.99. At that point, I believed the service was complete. On 10/17, I was shocked to see a credit card charge for $54.99. I called Greenix, and he said "you signed a contract" to have monthly treatments for $54.99 every month (even in the winter) for a year. No one ever said that this was an annual subscription with an obligation for hundreds of dollar more. If they did, I would have said NO WAY! Why would I pay over $650 for a service I didn't need. I'm a 73 year old woman living alone on a fixed income. My house is small (1000 sq ft) and I have medical issues and bills. I would never agree or could afford an expense like that. When I questioned treatments in the winter, the person said if I wanted, they would only come out every 3 months, but would still charge my credit card $164.97 each time. I told him I DO NOT WANT OR COULD AFFORD THIS SERVICE. He was quite rude and basically said "tough cookies- you are committed to a contract". If you want out, it will be a $299 cancelation charge! I find this whole experience with Greenix misleading, deceptive, and predatory in their business practices. I also don't understand after seeing all the similar complaints to the BBB that Greenix has an A+ rating!

      A sales representative approached my home for pest services. He heavily encouraged me to sign up for a subscription service and reassured me numerous times that I could cancel at any time without a charge. He also told me that the company comes once a month to spray for pests. After paying $40 plus tax for several months, I found it odd that the company had only been out to my house twice. I have since learned that the guy signed me up for a 24-month membership, which was never communicated to me, and that they would only show up once every 3 months. Also, I have been told that I would have to pay a large fee (I believe it was $299) to cancel my agreement. This company is a scam.

      Company screwed up every step of the way. Didn’t come the day they said. Don’t give the 30 min pretrial call. Had terrible service. Called and complained and was assured he’d not come back. Needed a retreat. They sent the same dude they were not supposed to send. I called and complained and said I wanted to cancel. Was told would be a fee to do that. Hell they didn’t do what they said but they still want their damned fee. Now I’m getting harassing texts and emails. And can’t talk to anyone at corporate “because they don’t take phone calls”. They need to graciously waive this damned fee. Now I’m gonna have a ding on my credit score because I refuse to pay when they didn’t fulfill their promises.

      We didnt receive their services and stopped paying them. They sent us multiple notices which we we replied to, explaining that they never showed up and therefore we wouldnt pay them. They sent us to collections. We didnt pay. They went and unauthorized pulled $230 from my credit card. Terrible.

      In May of 2024 the company came out for a one time service with a charge of $249. Then on Sept 30th this company set me up on a contract for pest control when all I wanted was a return service visit from a one time spray for box elder bugs that was not resolved after my initial visit and charged me another $99 plus $39 and they continue to charge me $52.98 a month with no additional services rendered. I called to cancel this service/contract that I never wanted in the first place. I was then told there would be a $250 cancelation fee.
      I feel this is consumer fraud and unjustified and don’t want any more services from them. I simply wanted a single service nothing more.

      Greenix has sent a past due bill in the amount of $210.00 for an account that I never requested, authorized or even agreed to being created.Additionally, no service has ever been performed on the property, nor is it or was it ever necessary. If the company refuses to reverse the charges and cease communication I will pursue legal action.

      They claim to have provided a service that wasnt done but they checked off a list saying it was and didnt complete work. Hired different company to do job correctly

      Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. ****** signed up for a one time pest control treatment that was completed on September 3rd at 9:30 A.M. We have included a photograph that is also in ******** account of the service professional at his residence. Above all, we are eager to resolve ******** concerns. It has been determined that the payment for this service was disputed by ****** with his financial institution on or around October 14th. At that time, the payment was reversed. This dispute is still ongoing, thus Greenix has not received the funds again in order to process a refund. We have notated in our records for the dispute to be accepted, at which time the outstanding balance will be removed. We please ask that ****** allows up to 30 days for this process to be completed.

      12.5.2024, BBB received a VM from **** ******** stating:
      "Hi, *****. This is **** ****** with ****** one dispute. My number is ************. The thing is, is they said it's a pending charge when my credit card company has already charged them, charged it back to them on October 22nd, which I sent them pictures and everything showing that it was already charged back to them so I don't know what's going on with them but my credit card company says they're paid and this has been going on for months they're telling me they're gonna give me a refund and it hasn't happened and they keep just giving me a run around so I don't know what else to do just give me a call back thank you"

      Greenix initially had us sign a 2 year contract and claimed to be a local "little guy" company when they sold their service. We never had any issues with pests in or out of our home until after this company started. Fast forward to July of this year, we attempted to cancel our service. We were told no, that our contract wasn't up (not true) and would not be able to cancel without significant financial penalty. We demonstrated that our contract period had lapsed and wanted to cancel. They proceeded to indicate that we were cancelled and they would close our account and send final bill. It's now 5 months later, we are still calling, still getting technicians showing up at our house, and they continue to bill for our service. This is not a technician, this is most definitely a company issue and they are scamming customers, are unresponsive to attempts to cancel, and continue to bill for services they have not been given permission to do. The technicians have no ability to help the customer deal with the company which further demonstrates the disconnect and lack of customer service or care for the position they are putting their technicians in. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH OR USE THIS COMPANY.

      I am rejecting this response because: The company failed to close our account for no less than 4 months after the initial contact asking to end our service. They attempted to convey that we were still under contract despite our records saying the contrary. The company should be willing to refund 4 months worth of service charges as services were performed without our authorization if at all.

      On or about 11/12/24 I contacted Greenix to learn about their services for my rental property that needs serviced for roaches and mice. Immediately got a call back from a sales person. Very pushy, should have known from the beginning. I asked if he could email me the information to look over. After several times of letting him know I would need to read the info before confirming service, he finally sent it to me. He then contacted me back several times. I called Greenix to talk to the sales rep. **** ever you call, you go right to a sales person. I am not sure how many there are, but always a different person. Finally was able to text with the sales person and decided to try the service. As we discussed several times via phone and text, I needed both interior service for mice and roaches. They suggested baiting exterior as well for mice, I agreed. The day of the appointment the tech asked how many units there were. Bad start. He had to go back to the truck to make sure his paper work was correct. He came back and stated he was treating interior for roaches only. I explained it was mice as well. He refused. I asked him to contact a supervisor and he said he could not.I tried to contact supervisor to no avail. I was either hung up on, disconnected or just put on hold. Finally got to talk to a supervisor, *****. Took several days and me calling back to get the interior mice scheduled as previously discussed. Next treatment, both mice and roaches treated. Next treatment, today 11/25/24, the tech a week before stated "what time do you want to me next week" We agreed to 10 AM. I started texted the number I had around 8 AM to confirm the appointment. No return message. At 12:45 PM I called the number on the website (then number they text you, just disconnects). **** said the appointment was for 10 - 12. I told her not what we agreed on and it is past 12. Asked for supervisor, finally hung up on.

      This company uses deceptive marketing practices! Before the first visit, they had already charged my bank account $170.13. Then a month later they charged an additional $84.53 for doing nothing that month! When you sign up for their services, they lead you to believe they're going to come to your house every month and that the monthly rate will be approximately $90, but the truth is they don't come to your house every month they come every 3 months! Why are they charging a monthly fee if they're not coming every month? I called to cancel their service and was told it would cost me $300 cancellation fee! Frankly I would like to start a class action lawsuit against them as there are hundreds of customers online complaining about this company's deceptive business practices.
