It was super easy to upload my insurance and the resident support team member that helped me was kind and quick at answering my questions!

You supposedly have the option to opt out by showing proof of insurance. But they will find any reason to deny it. I suspect they never approve anyone’s existing policy. You are buying their insurance wether you like it or not and you have no recourse.
My apartment added a Foxen insurance policy for all renters. I uploaded proof of my existing policy. They denied it because it showed my apartment address instead of the company name and corporate address of the company managing my apartment.
I feel like I’m being scammed.

If I could leave a "NO STARS" I would. Everything written on here with regards to this sham of a company is 100% accurate. I've had insurance since September and I'm still getting billed for their insurance.

This is a company that takes advantage of consumers. You are paying insurance for the complex and not yourself. They promise to be hassle free claims and provide worry free insurance. That’s a lie, they do not pay claims as you are not insured, nor will they give you a copy of the policy. Worry company. Stay away at all cost.

My apartment complex added on Foxen last year for $25 a month, which is three times what I pay for my private policy that I've had for over a decade. I had the charge added out of the blue when my lease renewed in August, sent in my proof of insurance, they complained it wasn't properly done, sent it in again and got the charges removed. Then in December, as I have an annual policy, they did it again, saying my policy was expiring....when I still had a month to go and it renews automatically. Had to go through it all again. And now this year, same thing, just got an e-mail I hadn't submitted my proof of insurance to them.....because the policy hasn't renewed yet. I can't submit a new policy if I don't have it yet. If they're this sneaky and underhanded about charging me at any chance I wouldn't trust them if I had an actual claim. This is also one of the factors that has made me decide to only renew my apartment one more year, and then try to find a place that doesn't use Foxen. I will gladly join any civil suit or legal action that may come up against this company, I'm that fed up with it.

This company needs shut down. What a joke. The website works half the time to upload the insurance which you are supposed to be required to have. This is a 3rd party, out sourced, pile of shit company. The fact my apartment complex uses them is enough to make me want to move. I will be reaching out to state reps to see if what they are doing is even legal. Many comments below are the same. Apartments complexes may require insurance, that is fine. Having to show proof of insurance, and download to this company is the problem. They are a night mare to deal with. They will force you to buy garbage insurance for 2 or 3 times the price of normal insurance if you cant seem to get the insurance you have already purchased downloaded to the horrible website. Good luck if you live in an apartment and they say anything about using foxen for insurance.

Wish I could give 0 stars. ABSOLUTE JOKE of a company. Had their insurance waived since last August; great! This month they "accidently" charged me for their insurance. I sent various emails which were never responded to, and after an hour of sitting on hold after calling they finally answered. The agent on the phone told me to email in my current 3rd party insurance (to the email I was getting 0 replies from) and they should waive theirs as well as remove the charge. Did neither, and still won't respond to emails. I tried calling again, but I sat on hold for another hour and a half and decided to give up. Oh yeah, horrible hold music. Only reason I use this horrible service is because the property group I lease from uses them. Beats me why they do; these people are scammers!

greedily or unfairly charge (someone) many small amounts for minor services.
You have to babysit Foxen and check their work for them. They will send you emails stating that you've been unenrolled from this, or approved for that, but continue to charge you anyway.
Unenrolling in programs like a "credit builder" does not matter to Foxen until you reach out directly to them. Even if you have confirmation from them stating that you've been unenrolled, they continue to charge you.
Providing proof of your own insurance does not matter to Foxen until you reach out directly to them. Even if you have confirmation from them stating that your policy has been approved, they continue to charge you for the liability waiver.
They are either strictly incompetent, or know exactly what they're doing to people. Foxen will easily add fees to your bill, but require prodding to get the fees to go away. What an embarrassment.
