      Last week I received a quote for windshield replacement for my F150. The accepted quote was for an aftermarket glass, not oem. My appt was for 10am this morning in ******. I had other business in ****** and left my home early this morning. After arriving at Safelite and checking in, I was informed my total charge due was $637, nearly twice my original quote of $367. Apparently the online quote was for an aftermarket glass (which I specified). Upon arrival this morning, I was informed the aftermarket glass was no longer available in Safelites system, and my only option was the oem glass. I booked the replacement July 22, 7 days ago and only learning of the change on my work order #****** upon arriving at my appointment, with no notification of change order. I received 5 text messages since Friday July 25 sharing details and information about my upcoming appt with no mention of the deviation from my original quote.. I do not know if there was a bait and switch shenanigan going on, but I was not budgeted for an additional $270 expense. Upon arriving home I seen an email from Safelite proudly proclaiming today was the day for Safelite, and my cost was $637. time stamped at 7:08 am. Again, no mention of the increase in charges. I left the house at 7am and do not access that email address on my mobile. This experience leaves me with zero confidence and trust in Safelite.

      I made an appointment well in advance out of my local area as it was near my familys cabin. I was told it may be 3-4 hours, ok, I found a way to entertain myself. Over four hours later I went in to check on my care status only to be told they hadnt even gotten to my car. I was livid. No phone call. No heads up. Nothing. I had reschedule but I no longer trust them so will likely go elsewhere.

      They damaged my vehicle when installing my windshield and no one will even call me back. The rep. **** installed my windshield told me he damaged my vehicle showed Mr, and gave me some ridiculous story of how it happened, and I have contacted them many times and no return call. This company is terrible

      Safelite sent me two identical quotes, one on the day I set up my appointment and the second on the day of my appointment. Both quotes were identical. However, after I paid with a credit card I was told that my receipt would be sent to me via email. Once I received the receipt I found that I had been overcharged $39.98. After calling several times over a two week period I was finally told that they would not be refunding me the $39.98 because it was a recycling fee for the old windshield. At no time was I ever told that this additional fee would be added to my bill.If I had been told up front that there would be an additional recycling fee I wouldn't be feeling like I've been ripped off, but that is exactly how I feel.

      What's the point of making an appointment if you are waiting an hour and a half after the time you scheduled to then walk up to the counter to let the employee scrolling through TickTock know that I'm leaving due to lack of attention. Terrible experience!

      Called them, they said they'd call back. 6 days later I called again. I can't use the online c*** because my car is too new....have to speak with a human. They made it **** near impossible to do that. On day 6, I call and speak with someone. He gave me a different number to call. Call it and get told to do online and got hung up on. Called 1st number back. *** is deaf and keeps saying he can't hear me. I hang up and immediately called back. Not gonna lie, I was snippy. Told her NOT to transfer me because I CAN'T look it up online. She puts me on hold and calls shop herself. No answer. She says she's calling the other number and again....No answer. Then she tried to blame worker shortage, COVID and some other c*** before I interrupted her and said if an employee can't get an answer and since I've wasted 6 days, I'm done. And now all I can do is post reviews everywhere I can. I don't care if they might be cheaper. Their work *****. Their work ethics ****. Their system *****.

      I had to have my windshield replaced in my 2024 vehicle. They replaced it with the wrong windshield and my heads up display was not working. Had to go in for another appointment and they charged me another deductible without my permission from the card I used to pay initially. I let them know before I left and they said they credited my account and I would see it in my account in 3-5 days. That did not happen. After trying to reach a person, the only way they would communicate was via email. I emailed the finance and was given the run around for about a month. They said it was in the process of the refund after 2 months still no refund. Then they ghosted me and stopped replying. I had to dispute it with my bank. Safelite has gotten too big and they do not care about their customers anymore. Do better. No need for a sorry for your inconvenience robot reply.

      The windshield in my 2020 ***** traverse was cracked and replaced in December 2023 and after some time I noticed the windshield was leaking and my vehicle started to smell. I made another appointment to have the windshield replaced and to try and resolve the odor issue. After picking it back up with a few tree air fresheners to hide the odor. My vehicle has been back and forth from their shop a few times to try and get rid of the odor, it was even given to an outside source as well.Each time the odor comes back to the point you can smell it on the outside with the windows up and doors closed. I was even denied a rental car and had to rely on a family members spare vehicle at one point because it was deemed safe to drive mind you can stand to be inside it. The communication is terrible, I've been lied to and kept out of emails also. It's to the point now where they want me to settle for a compensation that is a complete joke. Safelite ruined my traverse and i feel that I shouldn't have to pay the price!

      I scheduled a windshield replacement for my *************************** advance, only to have my appointment day ruined by Safelite's incompetence. They informed me that the windshield they received was cracked and refused to expedite a replacement.Given that Safelite is in the glass business, their inability to swiftly replace a broken windshield is astonishing. To make matters worse, they couldn't provide a replacement until July 19th, leaving me stranded. Their customer service was equally disappointing, requiring multiple calls to address the issue without resolution. Avoid Safelite at all costs. Their lack of professionalism and customer care is unacceptable
