      Just got my cracked windshield replaced by the Safelite in Apex, NC. I made the reservation online after obtaining a quote online as well. I showed up to drop off the car, told her I had a 1 PM appointment and had booked everything online. She looked up something on the computer, asked for my credit card, ran it through and said come back in 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I did, picked up the car, was not offered a receipt, but was told it would be emailed to me. I got home, reviewed the receipt that evening, and discovered that the price I was charged was NOT what was shown on the quote. Fortunately, I had printed a copy of the quote when I generated the order. I compared it to their receipt and discovered that the $45 discount code applied to the online quote was missing from the job receipt. I took my copy of the quote to the Safelite location and told them they had not charged me what they quoted me, and explained what the difference was. The woman at the customer service desk was the same one I dealt with the day before. She was very smug, not at all friendly, and offered no explanation, as to what created the error, and no apology of any kind for what was a significant mistake. She simply said they would have to reverse the incorrect charge and submit a new charge with the $45 discount code applied. I asked if I would get any kind of documentation indicating this correction, and she said I would see the reversal and the new charge on my credit card after several days. Bottom line, this whole incident is VERY poor customer service, first, because the mistake was made to begin with, and second, because this customer interface showed no concern whatsoever that the mistake had been made. With issues like this on the front end of a service or product purchase, I would not be surprised if I have issues on the backend, should I need to address a warranty issue. I will not recommend Safelite, or at least not this location, to anyone.

      Sloppy workmanship, dissatisfied is an understatement. I would give you zero stars if I could. Scratched my car.. you take no responsibility for damages. I would rather pay double and deal with professionals. 20 years ago, you were a good business, but never again.

      Last week our windshield cracked after being hit by a rock. We called Safelite and they filed a claim with Progressive to replace the windshield. But, then they told us Progressive would not approve OEM glass and said we would have to pay $500 extra if we wanted it.
      Knowing this was untrue, we canceled the service with Safelite and transferred the insurance claim to another local glass shop. They had no problem installing OEM glass for us with no extra cost.
      We’ve used Safelite frequently for windshield repairs without issue, and Progressive steers its customers to Safelite by default. But, I won’t ever be calling them again for service after this experience.

      The service tech came out and broke all of the clips. Tried using the black silicone to hold down trim pieces. Tried calling no response, called insurance company. Then they came out and replaced a few of the broken clips, but not all. Said they would have to order them. Tried calling, texting and left mess, no response. Very upset, will never use again if at all possible

      Wow where to begin. First of all, this is for the Fort Myers location only. The Cape Coral location did their job for them and did a good job but shook their own heads at the bafoon the FM branch sent out. I have everything on camera but he couldn’t replace the window on a 2019 Kia sorento and ruined my dash and scratched the paint. The tech even tried driving off before we caught him before he could. I’ve filed with their company and even had to go talk to the branch manager and he promised to do something about it but refuses to respond or reach out. He’s dodged me so he doesn’t have to pay out for the damages they caused. I have pictures and everything. This company should be avoided especially this branch since they are irresponsible and refuse to back their work. I guess the next step is to seek compensation elsewhere and publicly let every one know how they conduct business. Call someone else to do the work especially a local shop not a chain. Support local businesses not chains that don’t care.

      I just had my windshield replaced on November 8th, 2023. The original windshield on my 2018 Dodge Journey had multiple stone chips during my 3 years of ownership and driving the same route, but no cracks until one developed during a freeze/thaw and it spilt from right to left.
      Just now, 2 months later I get a small chip in the morning and one in the afternoon. Within seconds of the second chip the windshield splits. I feel as if the new windshield is of inferior quality, thinner and not anything like my factory windshield. It should have been able to withstand the type of impact, based on my driving experiences, but did not. I have owned many cars and have been driving the same construction filled roads for over 30 years, collecting various types of chips and nicks.
      Never have I felt unsafe to drive with chips (and now one that created an instant large crack), until now. I honestly feel that the windshield I received was of the worst quality, very thin and cheap. I will never use Safelite again. Not worth the $430.00 I spent to make my car safe. I would have felt safer with my old, cracked windshield.

      I had an appt. set up for 1/9/24 for between 8-12 to come to the house to replace my side glass. Received a confirmation and everything. No one showed. When I called the appt # they transferred me over to a gal that works in the local office who apparently forgot to call me and tell me my glass did not come in. Then she proceeded to talk over me and got loud, rude, and belligerent. WOW-she's the one that didn't do her job. No apology, nothing. Then she asked me why I don't rent a car since I don't have a spare one to drive. I stated b/c you were supposed to fix my glass today. Had I known I had to wait 10 more days I would have had one rented by now through my insurance. Part now supposedly comes in on "1/18 or 1/19". This place is a joke, no follow up, and rude ass ppl that work the phones that make it seem like it's your fault they can't do their job. I haven't spoken with a ruder "customer service" rep EVER. Now I have to scramble and try to find a rental for the next 10 days. Does safelite want to pay for my inconvenience?

      Had a company windshield replaced on a Sprinter Mercedes van by Safelite - Beaver location. Two days later had a torrential rain storm and water was leaking inside the cab of the truck. Went back to the Safelite dealer and he did a water test and was told it was our antenna. It was then time for my inspection on the van at **** ****** Mercedes Dealership and it was discovered that the windshield was placed in wrong by the technician and because of this other damage to my wipers and the lower windshield was installed upside down I incurred $$1216.44 bill from **** ****** Mercedes. So I filed a claim. After months of waiting the DM stated since no pictures were taken of the actual damage they could not reimburse. Clearly the damage report from **** ****** is not lying but his response...car dealerships LIE all the time. I WILL NEVER USE SAFELITE AGAIN AND WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would not even give them 1 STAR but that is the lowest it goes.

      I was mislead when “scheduling” my appointment. What I thought was a set time, upon my arrival, My 9:30 appointment turned into me being told it could be all day. They need to be more clear with online scheduling.

      If I could give a negative star rating, I would! I don’t know what is going on with the Safelite auto glass on Ina Road in Tucson Arizona..Recently, I took my brand new Lexus, which is now 18 months old, for a cracked windshield repair only to find the next day that safelite had tried to cover up damage to my car hood with flat paint, two shades, two dark— what? I am a reasonable person and understand as accidents happen. Had safelite come and told me about their error, we could’ve worked something out, yet instead they tried to cover it up—and poorly at that. After talking to that local store manager, I was assured that’s not how they do business, and to get 2 separate bids to repair damaged hood – which I did and was assured there was nothing to worry about, however, from there the “ghosting” began. In my head thoughts are rolling around like : how does this get handled? What do I do? What’s the next step? Nothing but silence from Safelites store manager. I thought oh no, I am going to be left holding the bag on my car for something I had nothing to do with . Since the manager was helpful at first, I sent another text and tried again only to get “ghosted” yet again. After paying the Lexus dealership almost $1600 out-of-pocket to repair Safelites damage to my car hood I was assured at that point after getting a hold of ( yes, unbelievable, that she finally replied back! ) the store manager again that I would be made whole, and to be patient. Yet Here it is now going on three months and I have yet once again been “ghosted”— no payment to me, when I was promised a “check in the mail”…. My recommendation is to find another place that you can trust and possibly not have to deal with damage/poor customer service/ghosting, etc.. the good thing about our marketplace is our abundant choices! Don’t risk it, take your car elsewhere. Sincerely,
