      This place is truly awful. I had my windshield replaced on May 1st, on May 8th a stress fracture appeared. It's obvious that this is a stress crack as it originates at the top where the window frame begins to curve. It's clear the technician installing the new windshield did something wrong -- but this shoddy people won't repair their error.
      First, you can't talk to these people on the phone -- all they have is a computer-driven Voice Response System (this crappy system disconnected my twice when trying to get 'warranty' help). Second, upon trying to schedule time on the website to get a warranty issue, there are no (zero) appointments available for them coming to you -- you'll have to find time to bring your car to them.
      Finally, they refuse to fix the new crack that appeared only eight days after the replacement. I spoke to two different people, and both insist I need to pay for another new windshield -- full cost!
      Stay away from this terrible company, they don't care about customers, they do shoddy work, and they are only interested in taking your money.

      After a rock hit our windshield, we scheduled online with Safelite to have them come to our home to repair. A call the morning of said they couldn't come to us and we had to come into the shop.
      One day later, on the day of the appointment, they call and say they can't take our car at the Olathe location and instead we need to make a 30 min drive to Shawnee Mission.
      So, once more, both my husband and I move around our schedule to visit the SM location. We arrive on time for the appointment and are met with Ashley, the receptionist, who states we need to reschedule because
      "with one rain drop we cannot repair your windshield."
      The store manager, **** *******, stated that they cannot predict the weather and therefore the additional change is outside her control.
      We suggested, as a business focused on providing service they missed areas of opportunity to utilizing a booking system that knows which cars can and cannot be serviced remotely as well as warning customers that rain can impact the ability to work or not. It seems as if Safelite has many opportunities to improve the customer experience.
      Additionally, **** was defensive, condescending and outright rude to work with when met with customers who are very rightfully frustrated with their run around which was easily avoided.
      Safelite is not a mom and pop shop and is woefully behind on their technology solutions for scheduling, informing customers of potential delays, and overall communication. I would not recommend them to anyone.

      This is for the Ramsey Street location. This company will not answer their phone with a live person. Every time you think you are about to get a live person, they hang up. I originally had my glass replaced in October 2022, supposed to offer a lifetime warranty. This has got to be the cheapest glass ever, because one morning we woke up and went to the car and it was all split. Nothing had hit it, it happened in the middle of the night. I made another appointment online, they were a no show. After a day of calling and they kept disconnecting me when it was about to go to a live person, I went to Safelite and made another appointment online. The man came and said it was not covered under warranty because it was from an impact. No, it was not, it happened in the middle of the night. I'm sure he was directed by corporate to say this because they don't want to cover their cheap glass. If a piece of glass can't even make it 6 months, you know it is cheap. Very unprofessional, poor product, rip off.

      This is an update to my previous review. My appointment was rescheduled for today after a no show, no call on Saturday. The tech has called, so will most likely come today. My initial review addressed the no show. I understand that things change, but a simple call would have let me makecother plans for the day
      Safelite sent me an email asking me to call to discuss my concerns, and said specifically not to use BBB.
      I called this morning, using the number they gave me, and got a very rude person who said he was with the warranty division, and there was nothing he could do, I should call the local shop. I asked for compensation in the form of a free rear windshield wiper, still paying for the front wiper that needs to be replaced as a part of the windshield. He repeated there is nothing he could do, so I hung up. At this point I would not recommend Safelite, and will let my insurance carrier know my concerns.

      When tech showed up to my house said he could not install glass cuz of a little bit of rust on window sill. Even mentioned that his boss had told him before he even arrived to my house to walk away from the job. The plus of the whole thing is found a local guy right around the corner from my house did the job for almost half the price that was quoted through the large corporation Safelite.

      Absolutely terrible! I had safelite come to replace the windshield on my car after I reached out to Geico. Tech came and replaced the windshield May 9th. However, after I went out to remove the tape later in the day, I noticed that he had done significant damage to the cowl where the windshield meets the hood of the car. There were parts of the cowl broken during the installation of the new windshield. I called to customer service center regarding the issue. They told me it would be covered under their warrantee and would send a rep out the next day. They sent out a rep on May 11th to assess the damage. He took a look and some pictures but told me there was nothing they could do but would submit it to the manager. I then got a call later that day from a Safelite manager, that also told me it wasn’t covered by the warranty. They deem it normal wear and tear of the car. How is that even possible. So now I have damage done to my car that I did not have before. I will never use safelight again. Just terrible, how do you damage someone’s car and just say sorry your problem not mine.

      This is a review for the Safelite in Gardena, California.
      A rock hit my windshield and left a crack. Found Safelite through my insurance.
      They replaced the glass, but the molding on both sides were peeling off. They took a look and said that they'll need to order new parts from their vendor to replace the molding. They said they would contact me when the parts are ready.
      For a while, I never got a call from them. I've always had to call every few days to see if it arrived. When it did arrive, I went to store and they said the vendor gave the wrong part.
      So I waited again and never got a call from them. Always had to call again. Finally, they delivered the parts and I went to the store. Guess what? THE WRONG PART AGAIN!!! It's been 2 months since I've had this issue.
      It's very frustrating that I'm wasting my gas and time on this problem. They either need to work on their communication with this vendor or cut them out of their business. Also, I probably wouldn't have this molding issue in the first place if they did a good job on it initially.
      I actually had another windshield done on another car at a different Safelite location and it was a great experience. No issues there.
      Thus, I would not recommend to go to this specific Safelite.

      I'm already in contact with the shop and they're already aware of this issue and trying to resolve it. I submitted this review to share my honest thoughts to other customers who may be considering Safelite.

      I called the 1-800 number and they couldn't help me further. Seems like the corporate / blanket number they use to reply to reviews like mine. Since I'm already in direct contact with the shop, I don't see the purpose of calling this 1-800 number.

      Do not use this company if you have older vehicle if they cause damage they will only oay like half happened to me with 2003 f150 they got glue all on my hood then tried to clean and the whole hood will need painted and AAA insurance will side with safelite

      **** from safelite auto took my windshield out and did not replace it as was scheduled. I was left with a windshield less sequoia and no way to drive. Completely unprofessional in every sense and this has had a rippling financial effect

      I had an appointment with satellite on 05/09/2023 to replace my Tesla's Windshield. The appointment was scheduled through my AAA insurance online website to the Safelite online website. My appointment time was 1:00 PM at the Safelite Stockton location. On the day of appointment, when I was driving my car toward the location, Safelite called me (around 12:40 PM) to say that we cannot honor the 1:00 PM appointment time and that usually, the appointment should have been in the morning at 9:30 AM.
      I told them that I haven't received any communications from Safelite regarding the change in appointment time and I also received texts on my mobile phone yesterday and also today morning confirming my appointment at 1:00 PM. The texts also contained a link to the video to help me prepare.
      After I reached the Safelite location, I even talked to the Supervisor regarding the confirmation I received for replacing my windshield. But he simply denied my request and my confirmation and said he cannot accept the request since the time taken to service the request was anywhere from 5 - 6 hours. Even if this is true, I was not informed about it earlier and also the video link showed just 2-3 hours and even my appointment confirmation also mentioned 3 - 4 hours.
      I am really disappointed with Safelite on how they handled the situation. We trust them for the brand name and giving me this experience is really really bad. I took a leave for an entire day from the office to get the work done and this is the experience I received from the Stockton location.
