We were referred to Safelite through our insurance company. We scheduled an appointment, and it took a week to 10 days to have them come out. Plenty of time to make sure the order was in. They arrived on 5/11/2023 to replace our windshield. The employee opened the truck, and the order was not complete. The weather stripping was not in the truck with our windshield. So, they could not replace our windshield. They left and were supposed to contact us back within the hour. We never heard from anyone. We finally called and nothing could be done to correct the problem. They could not get the part before we left for our vacation, which is in seven days. They could not get the stripping in this time frame to complete the transaction. The gentleman on the phone stated that some windshield companies do not send the stripping, yet no one bothered to check when the order was placed, or when the order was out for delivery. We are left to travel with a large crack because Safelite cannot even make a correct order, or check the order when it arrives. We called our insurance company and filed a complaint and let them know of the situation. They are helping us find someone who is able to complete a windshield replacement job. Which we did find, and they can get the windshield and stripping in a day. Apparently, all Safelite has going for them is a catchy commercial. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

I went to have my windshield replaced because it had some chips in it and the store Manager at the Safelite shop said they could fix the chips through the insurance company at no charge. They took my insurance information and called it in, and got the approval from the insurance company and made the repair. A few months go by and I get a letter saying the insurance company did NOT cover it and I now have to pay for the repair. I called them twice explaining I only had it repaired because they told me it covered. Otherwise, I would have just got a new windshield if I was going to pay for it out of pocket instead of having a windshield with chips still in it after the repair. The Manager of the store was told it was covered by the insurance company, that is why they made the repair and did not charge me. Now Safelite is saying I have to pay because of THEIR mistake. The issue is between the insurance company and Safelite, but yet they still insist it's my fault. Seriously? The situation is frustrating and unfortunate, but it is not my mistake, it is Safelites mistake and they won't stop harassing me with letters and phone calls. Very unprofessional, and quite honestly a little pathetic.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

I'll say this, that my experience with safelite and, especially the shop in westminster, california, has been nothing short of a nightmare. It has been my worst experience in customer service I've ever had to deal with in 45 years. I cracked my windshield in late January. And finally after 14 weeks of miscommunication, unresponding to my phone calls, and failed appointments, I've finally gotten my truck back to what it was before this all happened. And it cost safelite $5300 dollars. When your tech was replacing my windshield in late January, he broke my antenna in the process. After several cancelled appointments, ordering the wrong parts and more miscommunication, your Westminster shop, run by Alvaro , assumed they could fix it and after having my truck in the shop the whole day, they weren't able to fix the antenna and made the matter even worse. After 3 weeks of Alvaro and ***** telling me they were contacting a body shop to finish the job, and still no follow up phone call to tell me, they finally gave me permission to take my truck to the dealership. (which I wanted to do the whole time) At the Chevy dealership, I was given an estimate of 600 dollars. However, once they started the job, they discovered that safelite, in the process of fixing my antenna, cut the wrong cable to my radio. Now the estimate was going to be $5300 dollars. I have now told co workers, family members and friends of my nightmare with safelite and to never use them. I'll say it again, I've never had a worse experience with a company and their customer service in my life. I feel i should be compensated for all the stress this company has caused , all my time and effort of trying to resolve this problem , my gas money going to the shop and dealership, but I know it won' happen. I'm satisfied with safelite having to pay $5300 dollars out of their pocket.

I had my windshield repaired by Safelite and it is 6x’s worse than before the repaired it! I couldn’t say what I indeed wanted to say to the tech that did the horrible job because I was at my place of work and had to stay professional. I will NEVER use them again. My glass had a little chip and I just wanted to make sure it didn’t spread. Of course they try to cover their butts by saying they aren’t responsible for a crack spreading while they attempt the repair! No you added more cracks while doing the repair in a different area around the original ding!! I called GEICO to see how to handle this situation since I went through them to have Safelite come out and they were no help at all. Safelite has ignored my emails and I have yet to receive a reply or return call!! Horrible service!! They should have been held liable I will be posting photos on google and yelp!Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

I had vandalism and safelite set up appointment for today and the did not show up. After confirming by text yesterday afternoon they sent an email cancellation that I did not see.
After 7 phone attempts I finally talked to a human who basically said the part is in the warehouse and when the get it they will let me know and I can set up an appointment at that time. Basically ****** customer service and unacceptable.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

Have a broken window/windshield, DON’T USE SAFELITE, they’ll schedule appointments, call the day of multiple times pushing appointment time out, no-show, and reschedule your appointments after you call them to find out what the hell is going on. I had a scheduled appointment for a windshield on 4/21. At the completion of my appointment I was told they were having issues with the recalibration and would need to order an OEM windshield in order to recalibrate my car. I was told I would receive a call to schedule an appointment due to supply & demand. A week later, I received a call and was able to schedule an appointment for 5/6 at 8am. When I arrived at my appointment, the technician stated the notes on my chart said the windshield was already in the car and all it needed was recalibration. I expressed to the technician that an OEM windshield was ordered and to be placed in my car. I asked to speak with a manager. I was told ******* (manager) was to clock in at 930am. I called 2x at 945am with no answer. I drove back to the location at 10am, ******* still has not shown up. I waited for 30 minutes without ******* showing up. I called customer care this morning 5/8 to report this grievance. I also called the actually store at 8:15am with no answer. This is actually the worst location and company. I want to WARN all the future customers of Safelite. When you drop off your vehicle please have them inspect and document if there are any damages or NO damages (more importantly) as My car was dropped off in pristine conditions at 8 AM and they damaged my car in that front of driver light glass broken and bumper scratched. They took pictures at 8:26 AM and told me that this damage was there when IT CLEARLY was not. I have no way to prove so now I will incur all the expense and aggravation/time to fix it. They may do good glass work but NOT HONEST regarding their faults. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR VEHICLE. They are also not repairing many glass defect and they want to replace everything now... strange. On their website they write damage of 6 inch can be repaired but my defect was only 1 inch and they said I need to replace the windshield.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

Had windshield replaced on 11/26/22. 3 days later had to file a warranty claim for the plastic trim coming off. 5 months later filed another warranty claim for plastic trim coming off again. Picked up car and noticed large scratches around windshield. Filed another warranty claim on 4/21/23. Talked to Safelite over the phone and was told that car would be repaired. Got quote from Glass shop that works with the Ford dealer there for $2800. Found more problems than just the scratches. Took the quote for the repairs back to Safelite and the manager did not even look at the car. Just said that it has been too long and would not repair it. Pretty ******.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.

My daughter had her windshield replaced by Safelite and was charged over $500.00. Less than a month later while driving on the freeway, a rock hit her windshield again and cracked it. Again she called Safelite for a replacement windshield. While installing it, the guy cracked the new windshield and said the company is not responsible for any cracked or broken windshield that occur while they are installing it and charged her another$500.00.Safelite Auto Glass, Inc.
