      After listening to the commercials about safelite so many times, I was over confident that we’d get good service when we were referred here. Then disappointed when our Glass repair claim submitted to safelite before January 29 2023 was not replaced 4 months later, as late as April 29 2023. This is after 4 visits and promises to fix the truck. Order just went out for the 4th time and I’m crossing my fingers. Each visit they tell us that they will put in an order and on arriving we learn either the order arrived minus parts or shipping is delayed. One other time, the clerk left us waiting 45 mins and then when asked said she was finished with us. Same thing happened again - truck window not fixed.
      UPDATE: Wish I could give a negative one rating. The truck was fixed finally 4 months later and completed. Only to discover the next day that safelite wrecked and broke the backseat plastic frame when they attempted to fix the window. Furthermore, we had asked the person who worked on it if there were any problems in the installation and try answer was “No! It was easy.” When we asked what safelite would do about it, they said we have to see a district manager and get an estimate. On top of this, the original window now does not move properly.
      Customer care needs to improve. So dissatisfied and put out! Will not return for service after it’s fixed or refer customers. Terrible service at this site.

      I had my windshield replaced 5/4 and I wouldn’t suggest safelite to my worst enemy. After having my windshield replaced they destroyed bottom trim/water barrier. It’s bent and stretched so it no longer sits flush with the windshield. There are now gaps so large that water/debris can fall behind the trim.
      When I saw the work and told them about my concerns these were some direct quotes
      1. “Once you replace something it won’t ever be the same”
      2. “I’ve actually seen way worse”
      3. “There’s no way to get it back to how it was. It’s warped there’s nothing we can do”
      4. “There is no manager here and it’s we can’t call him unless there is an emergency”
      5. “If it was my car I would be mad too”
      6. “It was like that when it came in” (it was not)“
      7. I know you’re mad but before you write a review remember it’s our report card and it affects everyone here.”
      8. “it not our fault, sometimes the plastic bends and won’t go back to its original shape. There’s nothing we can do”
      TLDR: Safelite cannot replace a windshield without warping/bending the bottom trim

      I had my windshield replaced 3/20/23. With in 6 weeks it got a crack. Nothing hit the windshield, it only had 300 miles on it and was parked 4 of these 6 weeks. I went back to Safelite and they said it was not covered under the warranty. There was a very minute chip (I could not even see it). The tech came out and had a sharp pointer to show me and then he stuck the pointer into the hole and made it bigger. I called their customer service dept. and talked with Lamont. He was very flippant, said people had driver out of their driveway and immediately got a chip and it was not covered by warranty. He acted like he was proud of that fact. Poor customer service. What kind of quality is the window it it somehow get an extremely minute chip? Especially when nothing hit the windshield? Very disappointed with the work done and the attitude about the warranty. Would NEVER use them again and will post reviews on every website I can find.

      Recently I had my windshield replaced -Unfortunately, the technician either stepped on, sat on -or put too much pressure on my dashboard causing it to crack in three different places. I contacted the company to which another technician came by and agreed yes there was damage caused to my Chevy Tahoe- I received a call the next day stating that they will not be taking responsibility for the Damage they inflicted upon my vehicle. I will be contacting an attorney next.
      The damage to my dashboard is worse than the crack I had replaced to my windshield- I’m more than disappointed.

      Safelite replaced a windshield on a vehicle I bought from a private party a couple days later. It leaked pretty bad. They refused to fix it. You can see the terrible craftsmanship as none of the rubber seal lines up.

      This location practices unethical business. They lie and cheat by not honoring the advertised repair failure refund. I've tried to receive my refund for over 2 months and am now being told a check was lost in the mail and they cant reissue. I am on the verge of filing a civil lawsuit for the amount I am owed and the time I've wasted following-up.

      I made an appointment at 9:30 for our windshield to be replaced at the Safelife location on w 86th st in Indianapolis, IN. My fault was that I thought the location, based on a prior repair, was closer to me than it was. 10 min vs 30 min. When I realized this I called the phone number provided to tell them I would be late. I was told my appointment showed as 3:00 vs 9:30 so they told me I was find. 30 min late with 2 vehicles, the receptionist told me,”too bad, you will have to reschedule. You are more than 15 min late.” She informed me I was scheduled for an all day drop off (never informed of this in my on-line appointment scheduling) but based on my phone call was assured I was fine. She was unapologetic, rude and definitely informed me it was my own fault. I will never to back to this location for my auto glass needs and would never recommend them to anyone.

      I would never recommend their service. Their customer care is by far the worst I’ve experienced. They damaged my car and I have called them 15+ times so they can give the credit card number to the shop and pay for damages (as they promised). 6 weeks after the damage my car is still in the shop unpaid for and I am the one who calls Safelite to check on the status. I have never seen such lack of care for customers. And they didn’t even refund me for the price of the job - even though I didn’t have a car for 6 weeks as a result!

      Took my car in for back drivers side shattered window replacement. There is no way to contact this location via phone directly unless they call you. Service repair man contacted me to let me know that when the window was shattered it also broke the window regulator and I was asked to get a replacement then bring it back for repairs.
      Safelite broke the regulator while removing the door panel, then lied about it. Window regulator was working fine before the Safelite appointment. They would not contact my insurance company about this situation either, they did initially, but not after they broke the regulator and scratched the door panel.
      I’m sure this location has done this to other people, but the company as a whole is awful, putting more money into advertising and marketing over quality. Then not being able to reach anyone at the direct location, only given an 800 number is ridiculous.
