      1 month ago, my windshield was replaced by a technician who lost a part on my vehicle, specifically the windshield wiper nut. Over the past 3 weeks I’ve been driving through rain and snow with 1 windshield wiper because I was told I had to wait 7-10 Business Days for them to special order this part. No follow up call. No one reaching out to me to confirm or let me know when this part has been ordered or service to be scheduled.
      Today, I’ve reached the end of my rope when I called (11 business days later) after not hearing from anyone only to be told that the part had not yet been received and that I had to wait even longer. I called the last tech that was sent out and he explained that this missing part cost less than $5 and could’ve been acquired swiftly from the nearest dealership and done within the same week. Leaving me to ask why?
      Why hasn’t management followed with me? Why do I keep getting told that someone will call me back, but no one ever does? Why am I being told that I need to wait weeks for something one of your technicians lost, when it can be purchased at the dealership immediately? Your customers shouldn’t have to hunt down your service members to get the runaround as to when they will finish their job. I will never recommend this service to anyone I come across and sincerely hope that you reach out to your Woburn, MA office and give them some help, because they really need it.

      On 03/13/23 my insurance directed me to safelite to repair a chip on my windshield I booked and appointment for next day 03/14/23 they booked me from 12pm to 5pm the technician call and say he was on his way but started to rain he asked if the car was under a cover place I reply no he say ok I will be there soon when he arrive was raining my husband was the one who spoke to him but my husband say how will you fix that under the rain he say no problem and wipe the windshield with paper towels my husband came inside because the rain so he didn't see any of his work when he was done he called me and I went outside and was still raining I looked the job a it looked exactly the way it was I asked him why still look the same he says don't worry in a few day will look better because it got water inside I was skeptical about his answer this is not my first chip repair and I'm well aware that at least a dot will be visible but what he did did made any difference. Next day the windshield looks the same but I went to another place for a second opinion and they explained me that this type a work can't be do under the rain because they have to use a UV light and olso if water get in the crack it needs to be dry for the glue to work properly. My husband inmiddiatly call safelite and explained what happened they told him no worries just bring the car we will replace the windshield. On 03/24/23 at noon my daughter take the car and they say to her oh we need the $500 deductible my daughter call me so I called my insurance they transferred me to them I requested to speak to the manager and he came with the story of that the contract say that this types of repairs are not warranty I say to him your employe should reschedule the repair because the rain and not do what he did and make the glass worse now the crack had a big hair line across the windshield and what they did was wrong and they knew so the manager told me we are not going to fix it.       Came in to get a small chip less than the size of a dime repaired rather than replace the entire windshield. They applied the epoxy and cleaned it up to look and feel nice. However the following day the chip had grown into a very large crack across the windshield and now I have to have it replaced. I paid out of pocket for the repair of $170 and now they want over $600 for new windshield and recalibration of the sensor. They are saying they are not responsible for the new windshield at all. They will take the cost of the repair of the windshield bill. I have been trying an trying to get some type of customer service but no one has a good solution. I am screwed now. I wouldn't have had to replace the windshield if I never went to safelite. Don't get a chip repaired by these guys, I feel its a scam to get you to come back and have to get a new windshield from them or your out the repair money.

      Had a chip in window after repairs had a long crack. Went back 15 minutes later. Supervisor
      Of 41 years said you good. No sorry it cracked nothing. Won’t go back

      Very unprofessional at this place. Chattanooga, TN. They did not honor my warranty and refused to correct their mistake. I had to deal with them for a couple of months with an issue I had with my windshield installation. My windshield has been making a cracking noise since I drove it off the lot after a repair. I called and had to wait for 2 weeks to get inspected after installation. A tech inspects it and finds nothing but adjusted something under the hood. I drive home and the next morning same noise continued. I then check again and I notice cracks along the base of the windshield. So I called back and had to wait another 2 weeks to get seen again and then they rejected me again. Will not own up to their mistake. I have used several times but will not go back after this experience. I felt they already were annoyed after I mentioned warranty.

      Had them come out in the van to replace my glass. The glass broke as they replaced it.
      The company still forced me to pay the entire amount before they would replace the glass with non-broken glass and basically told me I had no choice because it was in a contract I signed with them that they are allowed to install broken glass and charge you $400. They will fix it, just a week later and even more of your time.

      Allstate Insurance needs to find a new vendor!! Most unprofessional and unprepared service i have ever experienced. I booked my car for mobile repair. They called and cancelled the day of. Told me it needed to be worked on in the shop. Ok. I make an appointment. I am here at 7am. They said it would take about 3hrs. Ok i will wait. At 8:15 i hear a man complaining about having to do my car. The manager comes out to tell me it will now take 5hrs because it’s a coverible. Safelite has known it was a convertible for 2 mths. Now for my car having to be fixed in the shop? They drove my car to the end of the parking lot and are doing there…outside… u couldn’t come to me to do that? After arguing about it, the manger says “are u done?” No apology nothing. They are all sitting back there chit chatting all morning. No sense of urgency at all. I am only staying cus of my insurance or i would have left along time ago. Horrible customer service.

      Update from my 3/15/23 review. What was to be a 8-1 Monday appointment turned into a 8-10 Wednesday appointment. My son received a text Wednesday morning confirming his appointment for the shop location in Chesapeake 30 minutes from him. I called and spoke to ******** who was not at the shop location but said he would help me as best he could. He was very kind and caring which was not what I had experienced with most of my other dealings with safelite. He could not explain why the appointment that had been a mobile one since I scheduled Sunday afternoon was moved to the shop. He was unable to get an answer at the shop although it was several minutes after opening and said he would try again. I called the shop and spoke to someone and finally spoke to the shop manager who said the tech would be out by 9:30 which they were.
      I had made a comment on the BBB site and was contacted by a safelite representative. When she contacted the shop manager, he told her the tech was asked to leave the first appointment and the job was completed the next day (Tuesday). None of this is factual. I was ready to be done with this unnecessary stress, but when the shop manager blatantly lies, I would like someone to own up to their mistakes and make resolution as professional adults do.

      To be concise, you should never leave your car under their care. They will completely destroy your car. Within my experience, the back window were all scratched, broken and wasn't repaired properly. I left my car under their care on December 12th, 2022 and they made my car at a terrible and horrifying state than it was before. Firstly, they did whatever they wanted to do with my car and rode it however they wanted to, which ultimately wasted all the gas I regularly had in my car. Secondly, as they kept driving my car, my car was entirely damaged with scratches all over. They also didn't repair the interior part of my car properly, the ceiling above would go up and down, and the handle up on the ceiling was broken as well. Because they didn't do a good job on repairing my car, there were many gaps in between. In addition to all of this, the speaker and the electric system didn't activate at all. In my trunk, there were water filled for some reason and that caused a lot of mold everywhere. There are literally so many things that were damaged within my car to the point that I cannot keep up with the records or how many I could ever list all of the damages my car received. Within all of this, the cost of the repair caused over $4,000. I really do hope that no one will ever experience anything like this and the things I went through. An additional note is that I left my 2019 Lexus ES 300 H vehicle within their care.

      you car will be an asshole
      it is stamped here and there, it is scratched, the speaker and electronic system do not work, and the inside of the car will be filled with mold in addition, the interior light is rattled, the handle is broken, and the assembly is not properly assembled, resulting in gaps and various noises when driving.
      car ceilings will have a lot of dirty handprints.
      they're just driving a customer's car about 500miles.
